"Pefect Location"

When planning our interail trip around Europe and wanting to stay in/around the Normandy coast, we were happy to find that there was a Ibis hotel here in Port En Bessin.The staff are friendly and gave us a very warm welcome as well as looking after us during our two nights stay. If you can, a room with a balcony will make your stay even more enjoyable to sit and watch the workings of the little fishing port.The bus service from Bayeux is not regular, so check out your connections or the local taxi service is excellent.
"Nice hotel and in a perfect place"

This hotel is not so old so you should expect a clean room. The surroundings are great and being located in a historical place in d-day brings an extra charm to it.If you plan to go around the historical beaches and museums, Port-en-Bessin is located almost in the middle of the beaches so it is a perfect place to be in.

Coming from a small private hotel in Brittany overlooking an attractive port, this hotel had a similar but more businesslike appeal. The welcome and service were very good and the hotel was well-maintained and attractive. Unfortunately overlooking the fish dock did mean some noise disturbance during the night, both from the boats and crews and from the hungry seagulls who created a din even during the hours of darkness. Also the bed/matress was unforgiving in hardness and sleep quality was severly restricted. However, location both in the town and near the Normandy beaches was ideal.

Modern Hotel, quiet location, made for a pleasant stay. This was a leisure trip and our purpose was to escape form the bustle of bigger towns and cities. If you are looking for a quiet, scenic, place to get away from it all and be able to enjoy what really matters this is the place for you.

Spent just 2 nights here, good room on 1st floor overlooking the quay, even had a small balcony. Room spotless, shower spacious and the girls on reception very helpful, even willing to humour my attempts at French! A bit wasted as their English was perfectly good.Willing to provide a snack at all hours of day or night and the Continental buffet breakfast had good variety.Only downside is that,as with most hotels, the extras tend to mount up and come as a bit of a surprise at check-out. Port en Bessin is probably charming and quiet if you don't accidentally choose a French Bank Holiday weekend that coincides with 6th June anniversary!

Loved it, I had stayed at this Hotel before on the day after it opened. The Hotel is perfectly placed to enjoy the facilities found in Porte en Bessain. The location also lends itself to easy acess to all the D Day landing sites.

Good central location for all D Day beaches and museums. Hotel next to working fishing port within easy walking distance of several good restaurants. Hotel rooms OK, staff service and breakfast pretty good.

We have stayed at this hotel several times now and in fact have booked again in September. It is perfectly placed in Port en Bessin by the harbour and opposite many restaurants and cafes. In fact the walk back from the restaurant to the hotel is so pleasant you feel at peace with the world.

Very good budget hotel. Excellent base for touring D-Day sites and museums. Only 15 minute drive to Bayeux.Good choice available at buffet style breakfast. Very close to restaurants in the town.Takes approximately 1 hour to drive to the ferry port at Ouisterham.
