The nicest hotel I ever stayed at. Luxury and trendy, superb amenities in the room, excellent food and super friendly staff. As a Platinum member of Accor hotels I received all the entitles benefits plus more and more and more...even free breakfast on arrival day.Will stay there again and recommend to all my friends and business partners.View management response »

Sofitel So Bangkok is to be recommended for the service, location, comfort, hospitality they offer. Rooms are beautiful, silent, spacious, tastefully decorated. I will certainly stay there again in a future trip to Bangkok.View management response »

We stayed for a total of 4 nights at the hotel. The reception suggested the room of wood element as we are travelling with 2 kids. It was a good choice. There is ample space for everyone and the layout is practical. The service staff at the restaurant, pool, lobby... is excellent and everyone is ready to help.. The location is slightly off the track from the main shopping belt, but it is convenient to get a taxi. The Lumphini Park is just across the hotel and we had our morning walk everyday... "Great hotel with potential"

Enjoyed my stay at So sofitel overall, highlights of my stay was the space in my suite and the exceptional service of the club signature staff in particular Ms Suparadee Jitbanjong who stood out as quite superb at her job and taking care anything asked of her no matter how big or small she didn't let me down my whole stay. Sadly outside of club signature the staff were a mixed bag. I enjoyed my element that was water but never had a chance to compare with the other elements. The complimentary mini bar was a nice touch as well. Breakfast had a great selection and had something for everyone - went to both the club and red oven.On the downside were the general wear and tear already showing in a rather new hotel worries me that it will date fast. It's location a number of people have noted let it down, not central, not close to a BTS stop, and taxis are generally reluctant to do short journeys which must frustrate the staff no end. The pool area gets virtually no sun. Went to the spa three times and it was good, nothing spectacular but I did return twice so it can't be too bad.Overall I would return and would recommend it to other people as the amenities provided, the decor suites my tastes (although some design features of the bathroom are dubious), and one stand out staff member made it most enjoyable stay.View management response »

"More Than Elegant!"

Thank you Staff of So Sofitel, our recent stays at your hotel was so comfortable and my husband promised to return and also recommend this to his biz associates as well.The first smile and greeting on our arrival into the lobby was already pleasing and feeling so welcome.The checkin was so smooth. Although my husband reminded me [as always] that we arrived early and not sure if we could have the room when we arrived to the hotel at 11am. Yes we did without requesting for early check-in!The room was fantastic, with good layout, free minibar, free wi-fi .I also like the choice of their introduction of the local drinks and fruits [daily complimentary] very refreshing and thoughtful.Good ambience at all levels and nice decor.Location:As for the adventurous travellers, you might find the metro nearby but the road crossing maybe be a little challenging. Probably the hotel management might want to liaise with the local transport authority to have better crossing and footpaths leading to the hotel.The choco 'factory' at the lobby is a good attraction in both sight and smell. All young and old must visit.Nevertheless, the return trip to the airport was not interrupted by the heavy traffic.
