The best hotel in town, staffs are nice, everything are good, except we need to wait for taxi for 30 minutes at peak hour. Hotel only got one limo available and at a very high/unreasonable hourly rate.

Sofitel Wanda Harbin: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Old and small room"

The room I stayed is very small for a 5 star standard.. The carpet is dirty and old. The bathroom is old. Location ordinary. Service ok. People are friendly. Food not as good as before.Maybe other rooms are better. But I booked the luxury room, it's more expoensive than Superior room. Very disappointed.

Sofitel Wanda Harbin: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Sofitel, Harbin & the Ice Festival"

Once you are out of the major centres in China then English becomes more of an issue. However, we found this was not the case at the Sofitel. The service was second to none, the rooms and hotel are beautiful and as always, the Chinese people are anxious to ensure every part of your stay is perfect. Couldn't be happier...although the price is quite steep.

Sofitel Wanda Harbin is the best hotel in Harbin.Cuisine "Element" locate on the second floor of Sofiel. This cuisine is the best non-chinese cuisine in Harbin.There is one problem in this hotel - understanding english.

Sofitel is disappointing. The hotel used to be singapore hotel. Even the hotel is new, but the hardware is pretty old already. Room is very dark and not practical. Staff don't have any service attitude. The hotel is quite far from where Ice festival is and not close to downtown too. The price is quite high for this kind of quality.

Sofitel Wanda Harbin: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Sofitel is nice with some disappointments"

We enjoyed our stay at the Sofitel in Harbin. The first room we were given we asked to switch because the carpet was so filthy. I was honestly a little appalled that the Sofitel had such dirty carpets, with huge stains and stains all over. We asked to switch, they sent someone up with a vacuum, the housekeeper took one look at it and said no way that is coming up with a vacuum. So, we called back down, and they agreed to switch us. The second room's carpet was a LOT better, though not pristine or anything. I have to say Harbin seems like a hard city to keep carpets clean in.... with all the ice outside, you end up tracking mud in if you don't take your shoes off.Other than the carpet, the bed was super comfortable, linens were clean, bathroom was clean. Everything was great. I am sure this hotel is really nice for Harbin standards - if you are going by non-China standards, you may be disappointed.If they cleaned the carpets, I would have given a better review, but when a carpet is filthy it just makes you feel like everything is dirty.
