"Does what it says on the tin."

Clean, quiet basic hotel. Staff helpful and polite. We have no complaints. Breakfast buffet was nice and all you could eat. Parking free. vending machines always available. Just off the M4 but no highway noise noticeable. We stay here whenever we visit family in Newport an we have never had a bad experience.

"Good, Budget Hotel"

Good, Clean Budget Hotel, Rooms Very Basic but clean, Secure Car Park at the rear. All you can eat Buffet Breakfast available at additional cost. Beds need to be improved for comfort. Key Card system to gain entry to the lift and rooms. Shower and Toilet facilities small but adequate.

Booking on line was easy. Have used the hotel before so knew exactly what to expect. Rang a few days before travelling to confirm and was promised a designated disabled parking space. On arrival, sure enough, the space provided was nearest the entrance. On returning that night, we still had a designated disabled space but it had been moved further away from the entrance. It was no great hardship but I suspect that the 2 cars parked in the most convenient spaces belonged to the night staff ! The day staff were particularly helpful. Jose was outstanding in his desire to ensure that our stay was pleasant and uneventful.Thank you Jose. This hotel is basic, basic, basic but adequate for a short stay. Just don't expect liveried footmen at the door !!! Would I stay there again. Most definately !

"Enjoyed"

Exactly as I wanted - clean and cheap overnight accommodation.Everything needed in the room, and silent overnight. Breakfast perfectly adequate for the price.Friendly and efficient team, great value.. would happily stay there again.

As you walk in through the door there is a welcoming feel and reception staff were so polite and helpful. I would recommend the hotel to anyone who wanted an unfussy practical accommodation in which to spend the night.

"Bunk beds"

The bunk beds aren't designed for big fellas and neither are the toilets. It's cheap and close to the golf at celtic manor Cheap and cheerful and as basic as ya like...can't grumble with the pricePerfect for the night before five star hotel ...makes it feel even better . Good secure car park in what seems to be quite a rough area

"Someone entered our room in the middle of the night!"

Because our room was wrongly registered in the system (they gave us the room number 3 but registered number 5), someone else was given the same number (with the same keycard). Because of that, someone entered the room at 1.00AM in the morning when I was sleeping (Awful!). When I went to the reception for an explanation ("excuse me, why did someone just entered the room when I was sleeping??") the guy told me the reason and barley apologized to me..he almost seemed annoyed...Never going back to this hotel...

Hotel functional and served its purpose given that we were needing somewhere to sleep. Additional £3.40 for breakfast decent value. Shower decent. The choice of hotel was made for us as very limited availability around the Cardiff area.

"faults with the hotel"

the room very basic with no tea or coffee making ability toilet was not clean with marks on the wall shower was good but door had no handle breakfast was terrible only toast cerel and fruit not worth the 4.25 paid for it and coffee was out of the token coffee machine bed was quite comfortable but the bunk bed above was no good
