Mercure Picton Marlborough Sounds: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Tojo"

6th March 2013, JODEBrisbane, Brisbane

We found staff very friendly and helpful when requests were made. We were accommodated in the older section of the hotel and found this a little outdated. The hotel was within walking distance to all facilities in Picton. We only used the dining room for breakfasts and we were always greeted with a smile by our German waitress. Would recommend Mercure Picton to anyone travelling to this are of New zealand

Mercure Picton Marlborough Sounds: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Best in Picton"

19th February 2013, egalinis, Huntington Beach, CA

Great value for money. Never thought of selecting a chain hotel in Picton but this one was the best value. Our rate included a $25 credit to use on meals; the room was only $110(NZ) to start with. We were told we had a balcony room but ended up w/a corner room instead which was much better - tons of extra room (could easily have had a rollaway if needed). Hotel used to be The Yacht Club; but they have done it over and it looks like a new hotel. Very clean. Saw the pool man cleaning the glass on the outdoor area around the pool - a job you hardly see anyone doing.

Mercure Picton Marlborough Sounds: 2.0 out of 5 stars "disappointing"

19th February 2013, harrythree21, Sydney, Australia

250 dollars a night and huge food costs should have given me a warm feeling about this hotel but i have stayed in better motels with a pub down the road. poor showers ( a dirty curtain which would not even enclose the shower), no air conditioning, and no sound proofing between rooms.

Mercure Picton Marlborough Sounds: 4.0 out of 5 stars "New Zealand Holidays"

For best rates book on line, rooms good size but lack drawer space. Staff offer an excellent service and very helpful great location for the Picton area and beyound, our room extended onto the swimming but was quite after 6.30pm

Mercure Picton Marlborough Sounds: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Excellent option in Picton"

4th February 2013, Kiwiatlarge, whakatane

Great value, clean, modernised and spacious. Nice pool.Make sure you get a room with a view - it is worth paying a bit extra to be able to look down Queen Charlotte Sound, see the Ferry's docking etc.

Mercure Picton Marlborough Sounds: 5.0 out of 5 stars "WOW!!"

31st January 2013, eliza1996, Northland NZ

I highly recommend the Mercure Picton to all travellers in all aspects, the view, the spacious clean room, bathroom shower area was so good, the food was awsome, and the staff were very friendly & helpful. Shame I forgot the togs as the heated pool looked very inviting!

Mercure Picton Marlborough Sounds: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Two Night Stay was good apart from reception problems..."

16th January 2013, Sazzle66_13, Worcester, United Kingdom

I thought the hotel was clean, modern, spacious and had a good central position with nice views. The pool was good too. However, I found the staff at reception let the place down, especially the male receptionist. My son and I were due to go diving. The dive company had left a message to say it was cancelled, but this was NOT passed on. I even went to reception and asked if a message had been left for me and was told NO by the gentleman. After finding out from the company they had left a message with a female receptionist, I returned to the desk and a piece of paper was found with the message on it. This unhelpful event caused quite a lot of messing about and time better spent doing something else. He had a very blunt and unhelpful attitude when asking about late check out too. It is a shame, because everything else about my stay was positive.

Mercure Picton Marlborough Sounds: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Good overnight stop from the ferry"

15th January 2013, RexgPM, Queenstown

Hotel was clean and the room was fine except there was a draught from the ill-fitting patio doors. Structure needs checking as cement render above the side window was blown! Breakfast was good and staff were friendly but parking was not so good and some noise at night with vehicles speeding on the road close by.

Mercure Picton Marlborough Sounds: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Standard of Hotel"

Whilst the location was very good the quality of the rooms was well below par compared to other Accor hotels we have stayed at. the carpets are well passed replacement with stains and the qaulity of fittings in the room was what youu might expect at a backpackers. Basin was chipped and the
