"Compact but well laid out apartments. good location."
22nd September 2013, savvy-travels10, brisbane
Adagio was a good option to a hotel stay particularly when you are staying for a longer period of time. Initially I was dismayed at the compact (tiny) apartment where you had to walk like an Egyptian to get past the bed, however it was well laid out and had loads of storage space for your clothes, and shelves in the bathroom. However as previous reviews state, there is no actual dining table, but one that you slide out from under the desk. There is nowhere to prepare your meals except on the sink and that becomes difficult when you have the kettle set up as well.I did find the extra cleaning option a little stingy. If you stay 1-3 nights then the maid service is included. If you stay over 4 nights you can pay €10 for a mini service of clean towels etc. They only provide you with one towel each and no additional garbage bags seeing as you take care of your own rubbish. A few spare towels would make more sense.WIFI is free in the lobby only, or cabled in your room if you have a laptop. As our room was on the ground floor close to the lobby, I was able to pick up the wifi from our room.Beware the garage. It will require several stops starts and reversing to get you into that very tight space. Good value for €10 a night and in a quiet street.Excellent supermarket right around the corner for all your needs and has a huge wine section with fantastic French wines so cheap.Walking distance to all the Main areas. Even with a map you will probably get lost. Try Moules en frites (mussels with fries) for around €12 for a big pot.We had a good time exploring Provence and if you want to keep off the narrow country roads, then the toll roads are a great and quicker option. Beware that some of the toll booths do not take cash but only European credit cards. None of our Australian issued visa or MasterCard worked. Luckily there is a help button and an attendant will come to you and then accept your cash. A trip from Aux to Nice will cost you €17 in each direction.

A good location - only 15 minutes stroll into the old town with a choice of routes. Nice and quite and very roomy. I didn't try the breakfast as you need to know the night before that you want it - and there are some great alternatives within a few minutes walk anyway.
"South of France"

I would recommend the Adagio in Aix-en-Provence to anyone visiting the south of France, as it is a great base to enjoy the surrounding towns, and the staff are extremely helpfully and friendly. The are plenty of amenities close by, and the town is easily accessible by train.
"Great self catering studio."

Situated in central Aix this modern block was perfect for a small family stopover. The garage was as is usual in French hotels a test of manoeuvring skills, but was secure and convenient. The apartment was spacious with fabulous natural light and very good cooking facilities and a dishwasher. Shops were strolling distance, a great bakery open at 7.30am close by for breakfast. Free wifi for the first 24 hours was in the lobby and worked just fine. Aix is very nice but not dazzling and the meals we cooked with the local produce, and drinking the local rose drenched in the beautiful evening sunshine were the high points of our trip
"Home Away From Home"
5th February 2012, Brisbane, Australia
Had a very relaxing week in Aix-en-Provence with the knowledge that we could get up when we wanted, buy food at the markets and prepare it ourselves and ask the friendly staff at any time if we needed something seen to or changed. The only things we'd like to see included in the room was salt and pepper grinders and a corkscrew (we are in France after all). Otherwise everything was wonderful
"Outstanding value for money"

Hotel is brand new, we stayed in a great 1-bedroom appartment, 5 minutes by foot to Cours Mirabeau, 2 minutes by foot to big Casino supermarket, indoor parking is good unless you have a large car/van, breakfast is good but slightly limited (no eggs, no low fat products).
"Getting into the room"
28th July 2011, London
Annoyingly, the one disadvantage to this hotel was that we were unable to get into our room until 15.30 (the brochure says 14.00). My husband has cancer and needs a long afternoon sleep, instead of which he had to sit in reception for an hour and a half waiting for the room to finish being cleaned. Plus, there was no coffee at breakfast the following morning, only decaf granules - the coffee machine had broken down. We need our coffee!
