"Simple Clean Rooms"

All was good except that I could not get the room temp to cool down (27c plus). No opening window and the contols had no effect.

We spent a few days here, conveniently situated for the station and the town. This Ibis is slightly more upmarket than many older Ibises. The rooms are more spacious and the spread at breakfast has additional local swiss delicacies. The rooms are soundproofed and supposedly air conditioned. This is where the problem lies. The windows cannot be opened for ventilation, which is a particular problem when two people occupy a room. It was unseasonably warm during our visit so we had to turn off the heating, and consequently the air circulation. There was no cooling air conditioning or circulation of cool air available.Our room was extremely stuffy and we both woke with headaches. The landing outside our room was extensively treated during our stay with an unpleasant smelling substance, perhaps to conceal other smells which lingered due to poor ventilation.

close to bus stop (number 3 and 21 from main train stn) at St.Roch station and walk downhill half a block. Can walk to Place Chaderon a block or two away where there's Migros.Hotel is clean comfortable, no coffee/tea in room.

For Switzerland prices this is a reasonable costing hotel. It was clean, quiet and I had a good nights sleep followed by a great shower - better than some 5 star hotels I have stayed in. I would recommend it.

Highly recommended Hotel, nice & clean rooms, every member of staff was cooperative. Locations like Lausanne; people roam around the town and get back at night and kick off another day with a great breakfast. This hotel caters everything well. We loved staying there and will highly recommend others to be there.

The best Ibis room I have ever stayed. Plenty of space to lay down the luggage in the room (two big suitcases) and spacious shower. Room and bathroom spotless clean, no smoking smell at all and excellent location. Very convenient free internet at the lobby and free transport card included. If I return to Lausanne I would definitely stay again in this hotel!!

Typical Ibis hotel- clean, adequate size room and bathroom. Breakfast not included in room price. Short taxi ride from train station and close to center-city and the main sites. Only major complaint is lack of free Internet access in room, although there was free access in the lobby- would stay here again.

As a seasoned Ibis user, I found this hotel up to the normal Ibis standards. The location is fine, about 15 minutes from the station and handily there is an Italian restaurant just across the street. A couple of small points- there was a chemical type smell in the stairs although this did not pervade into the rooms so I had to use the lift for both up and down journeys.Breakfast was fine but there was no muesli - and this is Switzerland!

Friendly staff and nice room quality. But the access card is too horrible. Mulfunction of the card made me stay in the evelator for 10 minutes each time and cannot open the door of the room.Other customers also have this problem.
"An okay stay at the Ibis"

The hotel is fine for a short stay. We didn't have the breakfast but the bakery down the road was good for a fresh croissant and coffee. The free wifi in the foyer was handy. We got a taxi from the train station as the hotel is up a steep hill but after that we used public transport with the card the hotel provided. The air-conditioning worked well. Very efficient staff.

Stayed here 3 times in the last few months on my trips to Lausanne. Quite a decent hotel for the price you pay given the area. Location is excellent, just a couple of minutes from all the shops and restaurants. Rooms are clean and neat but i find it can be a little claustrophobic after a couple of days. Only complaint would be that the rooms are very stuffy and hot. Air con system would not emit cold air! Found this pretty unbearable as the room was so hot that i couldn't sleep at night. What makes it worse is that the windows in the room cannot be opened!

Good hotel, clean, quiet. A bit on the outskirts of town, although No.9 tram very easy to use.Pricy for location, and certainly did not take the very expensive breakfast. Bern centre is very good for sitghseeing, should visit the Swiss Parliament.

The location of the hotel is great, only few steps from main shopping street, maybe the price (174 CHF) is exorbitant, i was told the higher price was due to the fair in Lausanne. Let it be :) The beds in Ibis hotels are still not enough comfortable, but everything else was great, especially free transport ticket.
