"Novotel Nathan Road"

Overall, a nice hotel with good service just like most of the other Novotels. Location is good, albeit slightly hidden if you're taking a taxi. Taxi drivers seem to be not aware of what "Novotel" is, had to always say that it's next to Nathan Hotel.The only dissappointing part is the charges for WIFI. Did not do enough research and was under the assumption that there was complimentary WIFI just like most of the other Hotels under the Accor Line. Ended up having to pay HKD130 for each day (24 hours) 0f WIFI access. Connection was also limited to 2 users only. That's the only down part of my hotel stay. Other than that, everything was good.

Prompt and friendly services - I checked in and out rather effortlessly. Very helpful staff. I requested contoured pillow but none was available, but hotel made available variations of hard and soft pillows. Very accommodating. Across the hotel is an old fashioned Chinese restaurant serving one of the specialties in HK - "salt baked chicken", one of the best I have ever tasted.
"Great Hotel, but Noisy Room"

This is a business trip - I booked 2 rooms for me and my colleagues and stayed 3 nights.What is good: great location, great serviceWhat is bad: Sound insulation is terrible. Noisy room! My room (room #910) is just outside the elevator hallway. As soon as I noticed this room location, I requested the front desk to change me to a different room, but the hotel failed to accomodate for my first day. So I heard all the chatting in the elevator hall. What is worse: I happened to be assigned to a noisy neighbor because they returned to hotel at 2am in the morning and they noise was disturbing me as their neighbor. I called the hotel manager to come up to handle it. But didn't help much. Ended up it was a "sleepless night in HK" for me until all noise quieted down at 3:30am in the morning. I don't know should i call it bad luck or bad hotel menagement.

"Experience with Novotel Nathan during my stay in Hong Kong"

Overall I rate poor1) Hotel location is good.2) Sleep Quality poor - The bed feel soft and the pillow is very soft, i do not get comfortable sleep3) The concierge and check in lobby is the 1st floor. I have 3 years old son with stroller, so it difficult to get to the first with escalator. Wish it has an elevator from ground to first floor.4) No free WIFI. WIFI rate is expensive. Most of travellers stay for short period, with daily charge of HKD $68 per day is expensive. Should have free WIFI, I get cheaper rate with prepaid 3G card outside.5) Service: The hotel service is good, hotel personnel are courteous and helpful

Regarding the pillows please be reminded that there are soft and hard feather pillows on your bed and 2 medium soft feather pillows stored in the wardrobe in all rooms. A bigger selection is available on request for Premier Room guests. There are 5 to choose from, including Lavender pillow to help you to a better night’s sleep.Due to the construction of the building itself, we regret that the reception desk cannot be located on the ground floor. We do recognize that the escalators can bring a certain level of inconvenience with some equipment. We sincerely apologize for this and will inform our Concierge team to pay particular attention to guests with strollers. Please note that our staff is available at your service at all times if assistance is required. We note your comments about Wi-Fi. There is a considerable charge involved in providing the bandwidth needed for Wi-Fi in a hotel so we do charge for Superior Room staying guests. "Nice Hotel"

Nice Hotel & Good Location. This hotel is quite new, about three years. Good location for shopping. Many shops around, restaurants, centrally locate in Kowloon. There are airports shuttle bus stops at the front of hotel on Nathan Road. Take Bus A21 from Airport to Hotel about $33 HKDollars.
"Great Location"

Room was a little smaller than expected but was good enough. It was a little hot along the corridors leading to the rooms but not uncomfortably so. The location and the service make up for all these.
"Good Experience but Surprised"

While the hotel stood upto all expectations and would recommend the place was very surprised to the following points1. Have stayed continuously over a month from the 4th April till now 9th May and going to stay till the 12th May 2012. Mostly had 3 rooms to my name if not 2. Was very surprised to find not a single staff ever asked on my stay on its satisfaction, improvement and requirements.2. I had premier rooms booked all through but being a smooker change to the smoking floor while enquiring on whether the floor had all the services the premium floors entailed. But sadly mostly it was not serviced the same way as premium floors.3. During the stays my accor membership due to the points getting accrued got elevated from silver to gold to platinum but never got the feeling of being a platinum member for any reason. The points were to accured for two rooms yet to see the second room points.So while the basics of the hotel is good don't know whether one needs to be loyal either to it or the group. So as a hotel will recommend to other but as an accor plus member no to the loyalty programme and for sure no to the hotel.

Room is good size per Hong Kong standard. Close to Jordan MTR. Easy to find shopping and restaurants nearby. Good hotel bar with reasonable price. Breakfast selection is great.No swimming pool and spa. Door set up for closet and bathroom is awkard to use in the room. Both closet and bathroom share one sliding door. So you can only either open the bathroom door or close the closet one at a time. Thus need to co-ordinate if one wants to get out from the bathroom while the other person is looking for stuffs in the closet.

We were very impressed with the quality of this hotel, in particular the quality of the features, the decor, the cleanliness and the helpful staff. We are already planning to bring our children back in 2013. I inquired about the availability of a family room and was told that all that was available was interconnecting rooms. With small children, it woudl be good to be able to have a room with perhaps two double beds to enable 2 Adults and 2 kids to share.Happy hour at the bar was great.Thanks for the access to the internet provided in the foyer and bar areaBreakfast was greatSuggestions for local restaurants that are 'clean' that you could recommend would also be appreciatedDo you offer discounts to returning customers?????
"Great Location Poor Service"

Great Location right on Nathan rd short walk to MTR & the Temple st Markets. Hotel staff on arrival did not have room that we booked. Had only a handicapp room or smoking room left. As an Accor member my experience on check in as always been of a high standard in this chain unfortunately not this time. The room was very small and was short on some basic facilities particular in bathroom. 2 single beds right next too each other. Breakfast was ok but compared ro Grand Mecure and 4 points well below in comparison. Stayed in 5 hotels in this chain in the last 6 weeks this by far the 5th best in room & staff. Twin Waters the best close behind Beijing in 2nd.

I would say it's convenient to take the airport shuttle bus to city to this hotel as it's just a few steps away from the stops. And if you intend to take mtr or walk to the shopping district of tsim tsa tsui, this place is great. it's also quite nearby temple street and tsui wah is just behind for a great snack all day as it is a 24 hours eateries.

Overall pleasant experience. Convenient location in central Kowloon, a stone's throw from MTR station with no lack of inexpensive fantastic eating places. Service is excellent, except for concierge.

"A Very Pleasant Stay"

Picked Novotel based on the brand name. Room was a bit small, but was clean and comfortable. Close to the Jordan MTR and Taxi's available outside most of the time which made travel easier. Buffet breakfast was a good mix of Western and Asian Cuisines. Overall had a very pleasant stay and would love to go back there again.

"Novotel Nathan Road - NO RETURN, EVER"

We stayed at the Novotel Nathan Road, Kowloon, HK for only 1 night out of a possible 4 booked nights and after only 1 hour in the 1st room, we had to request a move to another room/junior suite (with a connecting door?). Although this was slightly larger, it was filled with large, chunky furniture which felt as though the hotel had just filled up the room with spare furniture. There was a connecting door through which we had to listen to a family playing and jumping around until late into the evening, when I contacted front desk, they offered to 'put a mattress between the doors'.So, we checked out and transferred to another Novotle in HK Island which unfortunately was not much better even though we have used it fairly frequently.So, I will think twice about returning to the Novotels in Kowloon/HK

However, following the feed back received by most of our repeater guests the Novotel hotels in Hong Kong used to provide bigger room size than most of their competitors, this is part of the brand standard provided by an international chain and which is something appreciate by their guests.We are sorry to hear that you are not sharing the same point of view.
