I arrived at the hotel 5.55pm and joined the queue to check in, I waited 15 minutes in the queue and finally got to the counter at 6.10pm. The receptionist then told me that I didn't have a room as they had given it away because I had not checked in before 6pm! I explained that I was in the queue before 6pm but this did not matter. They could not have had a room for me, the only people checking in were in my group. Three of us were left without rooms. We asked to see the Manager and were told they were not available. I am a platinum Accor Member and was told the only room available was in the basement with no window and was more expensive. What an incredible experience! I finally got to my basement room 45 minutes after arriving, with not a word of apology and no contact at all from the Manager.

Friendly place with good service and nice breakfast. Love the walk around the hotel and swimming pools. Always stay here when I'm in Dongguan. The only problem with this beautiful hotel is they do not have a club floor. Everything else is cool.

Pullman Dongguan Forum is located at the city centre with only 5 minutes drive to both administration centre and shopping malls, while the hotel is nestled at the foot of Qifeng Mountain, the iconic view of Dongguan, and with a great garden within the hotel. The hotel has 6 restaurants and 2 bars, 2 swimming pools, fitness centre, spa, foot massage and KTV. the gym room is equipped a various selection of equipment and up to 24 sets of machine. We arrived at 1.30PM and the room wasn't ready?? we have to wait for almost 1 hour to get our rooms clean up. Our daughter & us been upgrade to a suite, its nice however both rooms full of smoking smell, its terrible. When we finally receiving the rooms keys the keys is not working and we have to wait for one of the manager to come and help. I been to this hotel any times but this time is the most disappointed. Do not know why the standard is falling? I was there few weeks before and it was fantastic? Maybe the hotel was too busy with many guest? Not happy this time, but will coming back as I love this place.

Love this hotel but the service is average and they do recognise the member status (I think) as i do not have any upgrade at this hotel, Sofitel is much better i think!!! Internet is good, good breakfast

I stay at this hotel 4-5 times a year for a 2 week duration. As always, the staff are helpful and friendly and the rooms provide a comfortable place to stay, however it would be great if ALL of the equipment in the gym was in working order. It just remained unfixed. Overall, pleased with the accommodations of this hotel.

Comfortable Stay for a hectic schedule in Dongguan. Usual high standard of comfort and service, although the language barrier was obvious with some younger staff in the bar/resturant, which surprised me!

Pre booked two nights for 1750 Yuan Pullman's decided to charge double (3500 Yuan) as a security deposit. This is totally unacceptable as the charge when corrected back takes 4-5 days, denying you the freedom to use your available credit for other purchases. Pullman's also added Room Surcharge of 113 Yuan which was not mentioned in their online web site charge amongst all other taxes and fees. All this leaves a bad final thought when departing.
I am very sorry to bring you so unpleasant experience. Please allow me to explain, there must be referred to the 10% service charge and tax of 5% on our website. If you are paid in advance, we will be in charge and 5% tax rate. A 10% service charge is to pay when you check out, in case you if not to stay, not to enjoy our service, we will not be charged the fee. When you checked in we charge a deposit of RMB 3500 in order to let you consumption in various places of the hotel. The beds are very very hard, and it is strange that there is no top sheet. The staff was very accommodating and put a soft cover on the mattress for me. Also, the last time I stayed at the hotel, there was a fruit bowl, but no fruit bowl this time. I missed the fruit. :(

Overall, a great hotel. Suitable not only for business trips, but also as a holiday getaway over the weekend. Large, very clean indoor and outdoor pools, sauna, several hot and cold tubs. I believe all Deluxe Rooms face the garden side, so make sure you get one of those. It is well worth it. Huge bathroom with great amenities, room itself was also spotless and well-maintained. Each room has a DVD player and the TV could be extended around 50-70cm towards the bed, which makes up for its relatively small size. Internet is reasonably fast. Breakfast is kind of a let down, despite Management promising a "new and improved breakfast experience" over the past years, according to responses on this site. There's still no cold cuts (unless you count the horrid processed ham) and bread was completely stale every morning. Toast it and it's edible, but still far from a 5 star experience. I'm sure their Chinese guests wouldn't object to a slice of Salami either :) Omelet was fantastic though. Since there is no "food" option I chose to downgrade the "Service" rating for the average breakfast.

The premises are very nice as well as the surrounding area. Very nice staff ! Located in nice area with short distance to restaurants and bars. I stay there approx. 3 month every year for business purposes.
