"Great service during a weather event."

Due to a severe weather event (cyclonic rain) staffing was limited but the level of service was excellent.Dining was limited but very adequate given the conditions.There was a fire in the morning due to water in electricals but staff and manager were well organised when guests had to be evacuated.When guests were allowed back in to ground floor refreshments were provided in the dining room.We were impressed with the location of hotel and will stay there again.

We had a lovely relaxing stay thank you friendly service as well close to the local shopping and restaurants was great with only a hop skip and a jump to the beach. We hope to sercure get a great deal and stay at the Mercure again when we are due to come back to Port Macquarie later in the year.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was nice and close to just about everything, although the view is of a carpark.Room was very nice, but the absolute no smoking even on the balconies was a pit of a pain if wanting to unwind with a beer in the afternoon. Had to take the lift down to the road for each beer.The only meal we had was a breakfast, which while the cooked meal was good it was very dear. The continental breakfast was very poor. I wish i had walked the 30m down the road and had a better and cheaper meal at the coffee club.All in all if not a smoker and not going to dine there it was a great stay.

First impressions at reception very good, courteous, pleasant & helpful.Room & bed very comfortable, room spacious & clean. Location really good, easy walk to water, shops.Breakfast & service excellent

Great location close to shops and beach, pool area small and not enough chairs, clean rooms with small bathroom. Parking is an additional unexpected expense - i probably wouldnt stay again as its a little pricey compared to other places in the same area with better facilities and free parking. Remote control was broken, no big deal.

Stayed here overnight with my wife before heading to Lord Howe Island. We ate in teh hotel restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, definitely worth trying. The hotel is only two blocks from the river and one from the main street, however we heard no noise at all despite staying on a Friday night. Great cofee one block away - head left out the door and take the first left, cffee shop is on the corner.Staff were very accommodating.
