Mercure Centro Port Macquarie: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Overnight in Port Macquarie"

17th April 2012, ziv_karen, Canberra, Australia

We experienced rain and a cold snap so take some warm clothing and an umbrella. The Hotel is nice and close to the main shopping mall.

Mercure Centro Port Macquarie: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Noisy"

1st April 2012, Bowral, Australia

The hotel was great, the location is excellent, staff excellent and efficient. Firstly at around 6am the garbage truck awoke my husband who is a really good sleeper. We thought that this was the end of it, but then other trucks started rolling in and started their reversing and everyone knows how annoying the bip, bip, bip is as apparently the street we were facing was the loading/unloading bay/area for the adjoining shopping mall. We thought that that would be the end of it, but the same thing happened on the Tuesday morning. If we had been there longer, we would have asked to be moved. We have stayed there before and not had a problembut it has always been a weekend but quite obviously we were on the wrong side of the hotel.Barbara, Southern Highlands, NSW

Mercure Centro Port Macquarie: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Mercure Port Macquarie"

26th March 2012, Sydney, Australia

Overnight on a road trip from Sydney to Brisbane. An easy first day's drive and the hotel easy to find. Well located in the city it was clean, comfortable and friendly if not spectacular. Reasonable value for money and close to everything in downtown.Clean and comfortable room but not lavishly furnished. Usual amenities and basic en-suite bathroom (= shower in Oz) with a couple of very minor maintenance issues. The bar and pool shut rather early but the bright lights of the city are very close by.Bed was very comfortable and served us well for the night's rest. AC turned out to have a mind of its own but the temperature was just fine.Breakfast in the dining room was excellent but hardly opulent - the duty chef did his job to the satisfaction of all. The dining room is rather basic and though perfectly adequate wasn't a dine-out venue. The staff were unfailingly friendly, polite and helpful.

Mercure Centro Port Macquarie: 5.0 out of 5 stars "ROOM COMFORT"

6th March 2012, Sydney, Australia

Hotel and service was as usual fine design of bathroom was wrong as toilet was cramped up against wash basin and hence with my height it was impossible to use, I do not want that room again. Dinner menu is poor being very limited and very expensive forcing guests to go elsewhere

Mercure Centro Port Macquarie: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Excellent 'Get out of Sydney' Destination"

1st March 2012, Sydney, Australia

The mercure is close to everything in Port Macquarie. The service was friendly and the rooms were excellent. Would definately stay here again. Its only a four 1/2 hour drive from Sydney which is great.

Mercure Centro Port Macquarie: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Port Macquarie stopover"

24th February 2012, Lismore, Australia

Great service in the restaurant for a Friday night, just off the Pacific Highway and in need of a good meal and some TLC and that is what we got! We use the Hotel as a stopover to or from Sydney as it is not far off the Pacific Highway into Port Macquarie. Easy to find and secure parking (even if it does now cost $10 per night)

Mercure Centro Port Macquarie: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Mercure Centro Port Macquarie"

24th February 2012, Newcastle, Australia

We stayed here as past of the free night with the accor advantage club. It was very nice, the only thing missing was a bath tub in the bathroom. Having a young child with us, it would have been nice to have been advised of this before we got up to the room as we had assumed a bath tub would come with the room (like most hotel rooms). As the room had an extra bed for a child, surely the hotel could have put us in a room with a bathtub, but no. Other than that, it was a great night away. The restaurant and bar was fabulous, had a great meal there and would definately come back.

Mercure Centro Port Macquarie: 4.0 out of 5 stars "stop over in portmacquarie"

Mercure Centro Port Macquarie: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Will Return"

Lovely comfortable, clean motel with great views, within walking distance to churches, town centre and a wide variety of restaurants. Would recommend this hotel to couples, families and special occassions.

Mercure Centro Port Macquarie: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Relaxing stay at Mercure Centro"

8th February 2012, Sydney, Australia

I enjoyed staying at the Mercure Centro. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Although the restaurant was small the menu was varied. The location was very convenient as it was in the centre of town. Well done Mercure Centro!

Mercure Centro Port Macquarie: 4.0 out of 5 stars "great spot"

5th February 2012, Sydney, Australia

Mercure Centro Port Macquarie: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Great Location and good value"

22nd January 2012, Sydney, Australia

I've stayed in quite a few Accor properties in December Mercure Eiffel Tower Paris, in comparison the rooms at the Mecure Centro Port Macquaire were far superior, Paris was worn and walls dirty, bathroom chipped tiled floor furniture needing repair, split fabric and timber stained, on winter heat cycle and no control of repressive heat from the aircon.........that's Paris! Here in "Port" what a pleasent surprise modern room, clean, bathroom bright, individual controlled aircon and furniture im excellent condition, room had a small balcony and sliding door that could be left open - excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. In the centre of this holiday city-town, every convenience just a few minutes walk. I recommend this property, for its ambiance and value. Mercure Centro Port Macquarie: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Charge for parking is ridiculous"

15th January 2012, Sydney, Australia

While the hotel was great, to then add a charge for parking is such a small place is money grabbing and an insult!!!The lift is also painfully slow. Room is nice, spacious and comfy, but plenty of other offerrings in Port Macquarie are better value.

Mercure Centro Port Macquarie: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Overnight stop over"

10th January 2012, Sydney, Australia

As we were travelling with kids, including a 4-year old, we broke our trip from Brisbane to Sydney with an overnight stay at the Mercure Port Macquarie. Making the booking through the Accor Advantage club website was easy and the service once we got to the hotel was efficient and friendly.
