Was a wonderful little getaway. Can't really complain. Room was lovely. The pool was great and the beach was right across the road. I'd defiently stay there again. Staff were nice. Only thing was when I booked the trip there was no option to pay by gift card on the Accor website. They need to update their payment options when paying online.
I am not sure why this is a Grand Mercure as none of the normal privileges for Platinum (or Gold) Accor members are available - no upgrade, no welcome drink, no late checkout without fees, no staff. I appreciate that they are apartments, but why be a Grand Mercure and not just Allegra Apartments. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment, but when we arrived after hours (which closes 5.30pm) we were given a 1 bedroom apartment - this was resolved when we rang the onsite managers, he came down, and showed us an extra key to an additional locked room that is the 2nd bedroom as they had assumed we didn't need the second room despite booking it. All ok. No room servicing which is fine and standard when you book apartments, however we objected to having to go down to a massive stinking industrial sized dumpster in the carpark which is difficult to keep open to put your rubbish in. Perhaps some normal wheelie bins in a discreet location on each floor would be more acceptable - there were stern warnings all over the apartment about extra fees for not vacuuming, not keeping it clean and not clearing rubbish. Check out request to 12.00 instead of 10.00 ended in an argument with the female manager about how staff were waiting to clean our apartment etc. Eventually she agreed on 11.00 with another stern warning that any later would result in $20 per hour fees. She also stated that "we are apartments, not a hotel and each apartment is strata owned etc (why would I care about that?) Even though they use the title of a Grand Mercure. Every time we went to see reception it was closed, and when we rang at 8.00am were told to ring back at 8.30 when reception opened. Perhaps this couple is not cut out for service industry. The positives - nice facility itself and the pool is lovely. We would not stay here again at Grand Mercure prices, it would be better and cheaper to stay in normal serviced apartments of which there were plenty of good options in this off peak period.
Excellent property. Three negatives. You are charged for internet use in your apartmenF by a private company. No face cloths provided in bathroom. No guide to Foxtel channels. Small matters that would enhance your overall stay.

Foxtel guides are available on the Foxtel system via the remote "Foxtel Guide' button as printed ones are not relevent for the new system. Yes, Wifi is "user pay ", we do not advertise that this is free but hopefully in the future it will be. Face cloths are an item that most guests bring with them these days. My wife and I stayed a one bedroom apartment for 4 nights, the apartment had everything that was needed to make our stay comfortable. The apartments are very secure and require a key tab to access any floor in the hotel, and the garage had a remote operated door again providing great security. The staff were incredibly helpful, and welcoming. The location on the esplanade is fantastic, and there are many restaurants within walking distance. We will be staying here again on our next visit to Hervey Bay.
We have stayed in a few apartments in Hervey Bay and this is probably the best so far. It's in a good position, the rooms are large and spacious. Great kitchen well equipped. Within walking distance to cafés pubs and shop.
Great place to stay, very central and unit was extremely well appointed and spacious. The only down side was that the air conditioning unit was located on the balcony adjacent to the main bedroom. This was rather loud when it cut in and out.

Unfortunately our time at this resort was not as pleasant as expected. We arrived on a Sunday, let ourselves in after instructions via message on phone,(reception doesn't work on Sundays) found apartment very nice and comfortable. On the Monday we had to check in at reception and found the receptionist rather surely, I felt that she had been there too long and didn't want to deal with the public. We parked in the car park at designated spot, only to have the neighbouring person leave a note on our car as the wheel of our car was on the white line. Apparently most of the apartments are privately owned and occupied, they are particular with their car parks and let any visitors know of this. It certainly didn't feel welcoming. On the bright side, there is a great Italian restaurant alongside the resort which we enjoyed.

Doors and windows can be left open to let the fresh air in and the views of the ocean are lovely. The furniture and décor in this apartment have been the best to date.

Rooms very well presented, very large, with quality facilities. Located across the road from the beach, but entrance isn't in the Esplanade! Keep in mind they are apartments, privately owned, but marketed by Accor. Excellent venue. Reception closes at 6pm, and wasn't open when departed at 7am. Warm reception on arrival, and would stay there again
excellent accommodation, spacious, clean and very relaxing. Perfectly located near 2 wonderful restaurants and beach across the road. The inground pool with apartment swim up facility is such a treat.
Well where do I start. The location was fantastic and the rooms where great. We had our own spa outdoor in the court yard but we weren't advise of the hours of restriction of use of the spa. Wasn't aware that there was no change of towels for the 4 days that we stayed there and there was a cost to get a change. Considering that we paid top dollar to stay I would have thought that we would have been giving free towels. Pool was fantastic and gym was good too. Across the road from beach access Would have been nice to have a pool bar open
Dear Guest, Thank you for your thoughts, Allegra is a well situated fully self contained apartment complex. If guests are staying for more than 7 nights a service is included. Towels and linen are provided and extra towels are available at a small cost. There is a laundry in every apartment. There are guidelines for spa usage in the compendium and at the spa itself. All we request is that the spa not be used between 10pm and 7am which is reasonable for the consideration of the apartments next to and above the Garden spa apartments. Our beautiful pool does not have a pool bar however there is a restaurant/bar adjacent to the pool area which is not part of our complex. Kind regards,
