"ok for golf, don't eat there."

We were happy with the room though a bit small. The major disappointment was the restaurant. Service was non existent but the quality of the food was the worst aspect and totally unacceptable at the prices charged. You need a car to be able to access other facilities. We drove 20 km in to Bordeaux each night or to Margaux.

My Partner & I have enjoyed the Acore Group Hotel chain, ensuring we chill out while traveling through France to our Holiday destination.This year we travelled to Novotel Amboise, a hotel well sited to give the traveler a half way stop, Following on this we stayed @ our regular Hotel GolF De Medoc, a must stay location in France. To get to the hotel we have taken a regular trip via the Ferry service at Royan to Verdon and excellent chill out service which quitens the trip down ready for the hotel.This year we found the service at the holtel first class, the hotel facilities and design are the best I have experianced from the Mercure side of the Acor group.Room and Resturant facilities are A1 with ther serounding facilities begging to be used.Next years trip I feel will require an extra days stay to test out the Golf Courses.

If you are visiting the Medoc area in Bordeaux then this is perfect place.This is a golf resort so it's green everywhere.People were very friendly and all the employees greets you just like Ritz Carlton.The room seems very modern and clean. Bed is large and comfortable. Shower can be adjusted to fit different height. Products in the bathroom were nice. Room also has nice patio to look over the golf course.Resort also had spa so that you can get a facial or massage. They also had fitness room which was nice but small.Restaurant had very good food which we really enjoyed.We would definitely come back.
