"COMPLAINT"
16th February 2012, Manchester, United Kingdom
We arrived at 5 pm on Saturday the 11th, we decided to go for a swim and sauna, this seemed quite pleasant, until we found the spa water to be very cold, we arrived back at our room, to notice the remote control was not working, we then tried to ring for reception, but after 30 mins of being cut off, we used our own phone to ring on the booking line, we eventually got hold of the reception to told the reception was very busy, we then tried to run the hot water for a bath to find they was no hot water, we again rprted this to the reception, to be told that many others had been occuring the same problem , we were offered to move after 15 minutes to another room, but we had already unpacked and was staying next door to our son and his girlfriend, we all had to go out smelling of the sauna and swimming baths, we all caught a chill, and was ill on return back to Rochdale, this was meant to be a romantic weekend for the family with Valentines, but turned into a complete nightmare, we would never go back to a mecure hotel again.

"Great Value Spa Hotel"

Nice location, Comfortable Room, Friendly Staff, Pool and Fitness Centre included in room rate. Did not use bar or restaurant but the room and facilities were excellent value for money at the current discounted rate.

"What a missed opportunity"
14th August 2011, debbieinlondon096, London, United Kingdom
This hotel is badly in need of a refurb and difficult to understand why it meets Mercure crieria. Whilst i fund the accomodation ok, the greasy food smell was a little unpleasant as i walked past the main builidngs.Enjoyed the time in the spa but found the infinity pool location a little odd - overlooking the car park!Recommended for location - it's a nice part of Bolton and close to my relatives who live in Bolton

What helps to make a great hotel in my opinion are the staff at hotels! All good and well getting a really cheap hotel if a) its quality is bad or b) the staff! In this instnace, the staff were great. Very helpful, and and mdae no fuss out of the issue we had, and sorted it straight away. In some hotels, when there is a problem, staff often act like the hotel BELONGS to them. WHY? Why do they do that? Why do they act with that non caring, bolshy attitude! The staff here were lovely and very helpful. Hotel was great to.
"Last chance"

This is the second time at this hotel, the first time I stayed I had to request a change of room due to the smell in the first room allocated. I recently stayed again and the bathroom was full of black mould around the bath had not been cleaned mould growing on the ceiling vent and an awful damp decaying smell eminated from the bathroom, I could not be bothered to request a change of room as we had a hectic time planned to see family and friends. I will not be staying again, my philosophy is give everything a second chance which is what we did, we dont live like this at home i certaily do not wish to pay to live like this. Its worth mentioning my family all used the bathroom facilities in my sisters room in a different part of the hotel which was spotlessly clean, I dont understand why all rooms/bathrooms cannot be kept to the same standard. I stay in hotels all over the world, and have never had cause to complain.

"Review of MecureLast Drop Inn Bolton"
12th January 2011, York
This two night trip to the Last Drop Inn was to celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary on 1st January ( we have also had two day trips to celeberate our last 4 wedding anniversaries atthis hotel) . This hotel has excellent leisure facilities particularly the Pool and Suana steamroom and Hot Tub ( so big its really a small Hot swimmig pool.) and is ideal to have a couple of days relaxing and generally chilling out. The Last Drop Inn is great for short leisure breaks with the facilities and it's location with access to plenty of walks both from the hotel itself and with a short drive into the Lancashire Pennines and the Weavers Way long distance path. The village bit has a few intersting shops and the pub and tea room which all adds to the atmosphere.Hopefully we will spend our next anniversary there too.
