Sorry, no. But go recruit Elena, Tom and Jacob!

Linda P TripAdvisor review

What is sold online is most definitely not what you will find onsite. I appreciate the young staff who held the fort like Tom who, at one point, was checking in 17 waiting guests all by himself. This was a pretty regular, overloaded Reception experience. Elena, one of the managers, is brilliant. Can-do, efficient, personable, professional. And the room service is pretty swift for such a busy venue. And Sarah at the spa is lovely. Those are the positives. The 4 pillows were rock hard. My room which was described as “garden facing” was in fact right on a major thoroughfare road, to the extent that you don’t need an alarm clock. At 5am the trucks will jolt you out of bed with a light rattle of the walls and serious shake of the windows! There was no water at all day 1. And limited water day 2. Meaning, if you have somewhere to be as I did, a 15 second shower is it as I did not have time to phone in and wait for maintenance. Again. The young chap behind the bar needs to move on. Grumpy sums it up. He cousin take some tips from colleague, Charlie, an engineer looking for the right job and earning a grateful income in the meantime. Breakfast is ok if you eat meat. And a lot of dairy. I’m going to end this “do not recommend” review with Jacob, who runs the gym/front office area at the spa. His professional, delightful, energetic demeanour saved the day! Hopefully somebody reading this message has the authority to double his salary.

Spa day

Craig H TripAdvisor review

If you want a spa day in Shropshire, there are lots better options than Albrighton Hall Hotel. The Spa itself was the best 25minutes of our “spa day” the staff were unhelpful, the leisure facilities are grotty and need updating. Hygiene standards were very low and lots of repairs and updating needed. Don’t waste your money here, unless a lot of work and staff training is done.

Hotel was good but spa disappointing

We booked a spa break and arrived on Monday. Check in was good and we were pleased with the hotel and the room. Dinner was great and the restaurant staff were top notch. On Tuesday we planned to spend the day in the spa. We had been told to book lunch at the spa but they seemed to think this wasn't right. When we got in the spa there was a babies swimming lesson which took up half the pool and killed any relaxing mood. The jacuzzi was broken too which was a shame. Our spa treatments were great but we ended up only being in the spa itself 30 mins. This was disappointing when it was the reason we booked our stay.

The room was large and comfortable. The evening menu was limited but the food well presented and very tasty. The service though was very slow - although the staff were pleasant. The breakfast was reasonable although some of the items were overcooked (eggs and bacon for example). Overall good value (due to the discount package).

Well located Good stay

Stayed here for the night went to the Spa had a relaxing time and had lovely food in the bar as we did not fancy the restaurant. The only thing i would say we stayed in the stable wing which has quite step steeps for room 95 so this is to be aware of.
