« A Relaxing & Beautiful Place to Stay »

We had a great stay. The location is great for Bletchley Park. The hotel is set in a lovely location next to a beautiful park, fantastic outdoor spaces. The facilities and room were immaculate. And there was a great pub/restaurant across the road a 2 minute walk away.

Thank you for your lovely comments and I am so pleased that you had a relaxing stay with us at the Mercure Milton Keynes Parkside House. We are indeed in a really lovely location with countryside all around us and yet just minutes to central Milton Keynes. I do hope that we will be able to welcome you back soon. Kind regards Anna Bambrook General Manager

« Very nice hotel, but with some corners cut »

Overall this is a lovely hotel with very comfortable rooms, beautiful décor in the public areas and a peaceful countryside location. The staff were all very friendly and professional. However, our long looked forward to breakfast-in-the-room never arrived, despite calling, and after 1 hour we had to leave without having a breakfast at all. Maybe just a small oversight for a hotel, but for me that was a really bad start to the day. The room was really very comfortable, but they cut corners with cheap plastic 'glasses' and toilet seats and the bathroom is starting to look a bit tired. Overall, for the price, this is a great hotel.

Thank you for your comments and I am pleased that you found the hotel to be lovely with comfortable rooms. I know the team will be happy that you found the level of service both friendly and professional. I am sorry about the room service breakfast not arriving - my Food & Beverage Manager is going to investigate this with his team. We use the perspex tumblers in the bathroom to avoid glass breakages as our bathroom floors are all tiled and we have had problems with this which can be dangerous if a glass is dropped. Our team would be more than happy to bring actual glass tumblers if required. I do hope that we will be able to welcome you back in the near future. Kind regards Anna Bambrook General Manager

« Friendly home from home business trip in a relaxed and peaceful location »

I have stayed at the Parkside several times now for business trips to Milton Keynes. The staff members are very good, and the decor and furnishings are of a high standard throughout, although showing some signs of minor wear. The whole hotel has a lovely fragrance which adds to the very calm ambiance. I note that the hotel will soon change ownership and I hope that the unique 'boutique-style' character of the hotel will not be diminished. Breakfast is good, with enough choice of good quality food. Wifi is excellent, and any problems are quickly resolved. There is no lift.

Thank you for your comments and how lovely to read that you have stayed with us at the Mercure Milton Keynes Parkside House on several occasions. To confirm the hotel is not changing ownership and remains with Accor Hotels - we are just rebranding to MGallery which is a boutique collection of hotels by Sofitel within the Accor Hotel Group. MGallery is a brand focused on design and heritage as well of course on offering excellent facilities and comfort for our guests. We are very excited about this change and very much look forward to welcoming you back. Kind regards Anna Bambrook General Manager

« Very nice setting and wonderful staff »

Stayed for a Saturday night booking Dinner, bed and breakfast. We had two double rooms. Both were clean comfortable and tastefully furnished. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially our waitress for the evening meal. The evening meal was a 3 course affair and our group all chose different starters which were enjoyed by all. Three of the four chose the steak as a main and one had the beef rib. Everyone was happy. Sticky Toffee pudding all round for the dessert. Breakfast the following day again was brilliant with cereals, juices, pastries and cooked breakfast and the poor waitress from the night before was again at breakfast, still as happy and friendly as the night before. The hotel is set in a beautiful village and surrounded by flattish paths so easy for all ages to take a stroll. Would definitely stay again.

« Rural Milton Keynes »

A delightful hotel in a surprisingly rural setting but close to the City of Milton Keynes, easily accessible by car. Attention to detail is needed. Cold bacon at breakfast - loose bath tap - leaking bath - no bedside light on one side of the bed, but a lovely building in a village setting. The staff were most helpful. We understand that new management may well build new quality into a very desirable place to stay.

Thank you for your comments and I am so pleased to read that you found the hotel to be delightful and we are indeed really close to central Milton Keynes. We have this week promoted one of our team into the role of Breakfast Supervisor and she will be focused on achieving consistently high standards and we have also reviewed the products offered to include homemade jams and more locally sourced items. I do hope that we will be able to welcome you back in the near future. Kind regards Anna Bambrook General Manager

« Great place for a short vacation »

Great settings, nice surroundings, pleasant staff and great breakfast. Ideal place for relaxation and walks in the fields. We have been greeted with a big smile by a receptionist on duty, given an upgrade (thank you). Room was great with a very comfortable bed. It was a bit cold on our arrival but the hotel staff sorted it out within 10 minutes. Breakfast served is varied with food really tasty. Hope to book our stay there again.

We have recently undergone an extensive refurbishment which included function space, public areas and bedrooms (including new beds!) and we are indeed very fortunate with our beautiful parkland setting close to the canal but also just minutes from central Milton Keynes. I do hope that we will be able to welcome you back soon. Kind regards Anna Bambrook General Manager

« Pleasant stay »

Booked a 4 night stay with my wife for a course, but added an extra night to visit Bletchley Park. Firstly the hotel kept me in the same room category, which was appreciated, as the last night was booked on a lower category. The room was clean and spacious. Only slight criticism would be that the room was a little dated as it lacked sockets near the bed. The staff were very helpful and considerate. On noting that they had forgotten to replace our tea and biscuits they brought over a large selection of biscuits and chocolate, which was a nice thing to do. I also liked that the breakfast staff quickly remembered what we liked to order for breakfast.

We are in the process of refurbishing bedrooms and public areas and I am sorry if you stayed in one of the bedrooms yet to be done because the points mentioned have all been addressed in the design of the rooms. I do hope we will be able to welcome you back soon. Kind regards Anna Bambrook General Manager
