Great settings, nice surroundings, pleasant staff and great breakfast. Ideal place for relaxation and walks in the fields. We have been greeted with a big smile by a receptionist on duty, given an upgrade (thank you). Room was great with a very comfortable bed. It was a bit cold on our arrival but the hotel staff sorted it out within 10 minutes. Breakfast served is varied with food really tasty. Hope to book our stay there again.
Thank you for your comments and I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us at the Mercure Milton Keynes Parkside House. We have recently undergone an extensive refurbishment which included function space, public areas and bedrooms (including new beds!) and we are indeed very fortunate with our beautiful parkland setting close to the canal but also just minutes from central Milton Keynes. I do hope that we will be able to welcome you back soon. Kind regards Anna Bambrook General Manager
We found the staff friendly and helpful. The hotel was beautiful and the surroundings were peaceful and beautiful. We would like to have stayed longer. We also enjoyed the food at dinner and breakfast.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review following your recent stay with us at the Mercure Milton Keynes Parkside House and I am so pleased to read that you enjoyed the hotel including dinner and breakfast. We have recently undergone a massive refurbishment including bedrooms, public areas and function rooms and it is lovely that you thought the hotel was beautiful. Booked a 4 night stay with my wife for a course, but added an extra night to visit Bletchley Park. Firstly the hotel kept me in the same room category, which was appreciated, as the last night was booked on a lower category. The room was clean and spacious. Only slight criticism would be that the room was a little dated as it lacked sockets near the bed. The staff were very helpful and considerate. On noting that they had forgotten to replace our tea and biscuits they brought over a large selection of biscuits and chocolate, which was a nice thing to do. I also liked that the breakfast staff quickly remembered what we liked to order for breakfast.
Thank you for your comments and I am pleased to read that you enjoyed staying at the Mercure Milton Keynes Parkside House. We are in the process of refurbishing bedrooms and public areas and I am sorry if you stayed in one of the bedrooms yet to be done because the points mentioned have all been addressed in the design of the rooms. I do hope we will be able to welcome you back soon. Kind regards Anna Bambrook General Manager
For a start, when I arrived at the hotel late Saturday afternoon I found there were no biscuits in the room as I wanted to make myself a cup of coffee. I had to contact reception for this, although I thought it was standard to have these provided. And then we had this problem with the shower which resulted in water spilling all over the toilet as it appeared there was too much pressure in the water coming through. We ended calling reception again. This, of course this was not the end of our problems, but we persevered. The shower cubicle in room 403 is, in our view, suited for smaller people, but anyway! We really like the Mercure brand but it appears there are a lot of inconsistencies in service provision across the board. Might we say, we have had a very enjoyable stay at the Greenwich facility in London, which attracted us to your brand, but we are not so sure now as we are having second thoughts, after Mercure Wigan, Mercure Hatfield and now Mercure Milton Keynes. We think it's time to try other brands and only use the Mercure brand when we are in London!
Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry to learn about the water pressure being too strong and causing problems in room 403 - we recently installed a pressurised system to ensure power showers and I will have our Maintenance Engineer look at this room. I have spoken with my Housekeeping Team about the biscuits as these certainly should have been in your room on arrival - I apologise for this oversight on their part. Mercure hotels are all different which is a unique feature of the brand and I do hope you will consider staying with is in the future. Kind regards Anna Bambrook General Manager
Stayed for one night in the Elm Suite when attending a concert at The Stables. Excellent large room and good breakfast. Didn't try the restaurant, because we were out early evening and the lounge menu was not very exciting and expensive for the range offered.
Dear Guest Thank you for taking the time to write a review on TripAdvisor. The Elm Suite is such a beautiful bedroom and I am so pleased you enjoyed it along with the breakfast. If you are in this area again it would be our pleasure to welcome you back. With regards Guest Relations Manager

We recently stayed two nights at the Mercure MK Parkside and had a lovely time. The hotel had a plumbing problem and the water to a large part of the hotel had to be turned off but the staff did their best to accommodate people and the workmen very appreciative of the needs of the guests and turned the water on and off as and when possible. We were given a complimentary drink as compensation. The setting of the hotel is in beautiful parkland and a short walk to the local country public house made for a nice part of our evenings. Our room was comfortable in the extreme with all the amenities we could wish for. The location provided easy access to many localities (we went to Milton Keynes and Bedford) but with the M1 on the doorstep it makes a great base for touring a wider region. OK the Parkside may need a little TLC but the accommodation we were given was great and the staff were very friendly.
Dear Guest, Thank you very much for taking the time to review your stay with us. I was very pleased to read that you had an enjoyable stay and that your expectations were met, I was especially pleased to read that you felt well looked after by the staff members. The hotel is currently undergoing a complete refurbishment and as you properly experienced during your stay we are nearly done only a few rooms remain and sadly we did have to carry out an upgrade to our water pressure system to make this even better, I do apologise for the disruption this caused during your stay but can assure you that this work has now been completed. I do hope that we will see you again very soon and the team and I look forward to welcome you back to the hotel, Kind Regards, Guest Relations Manager
The location is mesmerising. Nice views from the window. Restaurant was accomodative of my order for vegetarian food. Breakfast service in rom was good. However the carpets in the general area seemed a bit run down and stained and the bathroom needed new shower attachments. Overall very good hotel.
Dear Guest Thank you for your feedback and comments on TripAdvisor. It is such a pleasure to be only 5 minutes away from the busy hub of Milton Keynes but set in beautiful countryside where indeed the views are mesmerizing. In our Seasons Restaurant we do cater for all needs so I was delighted to read that you looked after. We are refurbishing the whole hotel so will be replacing the carpet soon. We look forward to welcoming you to the hotel again in the future. With kindest regards Guest Relations Manager
Our second visit. We asked for the same room (32) and got it. The location was a surprise, there is a Church next door and grazing land on the other three sides. We were booked in efficiently, no complaints there, the room had been redecorated and was still very much to our liking. All of the bar staff and waiting staff in the restaurant gave the distinct impression that they enjoyed their work, friendly, efficient and quiet. The menu though not vast was quite sufficient and the food delicious. We had good quality sleep. Our next visit here will probably be for something to do, we like it.
Dear Guest, I was glad to see that you are a returning customer and we've managed again to deliver the service we're promising, Indeed we handpick our staff and we are all happy to work for such a great establishment and deliver the highest standard in everything we do. Our promise is to exceed expectations in a friendly and professional environment, Chef and his brigade has engineered a bespoke menu to fit our quaint country house hotel and I'm glad that you found the food delicious. I can see that you are already planning another visit and I hope we will once again manage to exceed your expectations!
We love to stay at this particular hotel for it's friendly helpful service, it's proximity to town centre and the lovely walks. As usual we were not disappointed and as ever the breakfast was outstanding.
Dear Guest Thank you so much for not only taking the time to write a review on TripAdvisor but a lovely review. Indeed, the hotel is set in the country but only a stones throw from the hub of Milton Keynes. One gets the best of both worlds. I am delighted you enjoyed the breakfast, we have such a wide selection to cater for everyone's needs. We look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel. Kind regards and best wishes Guest Relations Manager
