"One Night Stay at Windsor"

Our two rooms were booked back in January. At the time, the website offered us a twin or double rooms. We booked two twins rooms. However, on the morning of our arrival, I received an email informing us that all twin rooms were taken, and only double rooms were free. I was staying with my 85 year old father, and a double room was unacceptable. They did install a sofa bed within the room for us, which was very uncomfortable.We were told that a big party was staying which is why all the twin rooms were taken. This party booked before us, which raises the question - why did it take until the morning of our arrival to tell us about the lack of twin rooms?The staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly, which is why I would reccomend this hotel to a friend.

Excellent location. Could not believe how close we were to the Castle. Friendly,helpful staff. Would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family.

There are a couple of gripes I have with this hotel hence the 4 star rating. Firstly the carpark bays a very small, so someone with a large vehicle will struggle. Secondly, and this is my biggest moan. the buffet full english breakfast was well presented and looked lovely but it was almost cold.

It's a nice hotel in the center of Windsor with everything on walking distance. Rooms are clean and people are friendly and helpfull, overall good experience. I would definitily come back for another stay at the Mercure Castle
"wonderful Windsor"

A great location, had booked a twin room but receptionist upgraded us to an Executive room which overlooked the Castle. Staff, food and service couldn't be better. The only downside was the matress had a dip in the middle which meant that my husband kept rolling into the middle!
"Short sightseeing break"

Very good hotel right in the centre of Windsor opposite Windsor Castle. Free parking at the hotel was a bonus as parking in the town is a big problem. All the bars, shops and restaurants are right on the doorstep. The staff were very helpful. However there is no lift and quite a few stairs to climb to the bedrooms if you have cases.

Staff very helpful -parking facilities excellent-breakfast very good-location excellent for shops and sight seeing-didn't notice planes when windows were shut-air conditioning counteracted windows being shut.

excellent location, comfortable and welcoming hotel, substantial breakfast, parking available - a pleasant venue for a short break. very convenient for the castle and the shops, just a few minutes more to the river.

The hotel is so well placed for the station, shops, restaurants and the castle. We only stayed in the hotel for one night, but had a lovely stay and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We were also very lucky as had some spring sunshine!

"Mecure Windsor Castle"

Great location for Windsor Castle, literally a minutes walk. Stayed overnight on a special offer of 50% off so the value was fantastic. We were able to check in early and the staff were very accommodating. Breakfast was "ok" but all in all and at this price I would recommend a stay to anyone.
