FORMULE1 Sydney Olympic Park (soon ibis budget): 2.0 out of 5 stars "Lonely and Isolated Hotel"

15th May 2012, BizTraveller607, Singapore, Singapore

There are no room service, food or drinks....the only convenience store opens on Monday and Friday the day I arrived and the same day I left. Strave in this hotel except if you choose to rely on vending machine dispensing Pizza and Chips!

FORMULE1 Sydney Olympic Park (soon ibis budget): 3.0 out of 5 stars "Good basic accommodation"

13th May 2012, vcms, Canberra

Good, clean, basic accommodation for an overnight stay where the room is not the event. Check-in was a bit slow. Breakfast convenient but basic.

FORMULE1 Sydney Olympic Park (soon ibis budget): 3.0 out of 5 stars "Basic accomodation"

2nd May 2012, 10Lisa10, Melbourne, Australia

Hotel was cleanVery small but you get what you pay for. We found it sufficient for one night and if you werent going to be spending a lot of time there - it would be ideal.

FORMULE1 Sydney Olympic Park (soon ibis budget): 4.0 out of 5 stars "Sydney royal Easter Show 2012"

13th April 2012, jw475271, Devonport, Australia

the hotel had the basics but it was excellent for interstate people too stay for convenience who want to go the football ANZ stadium or the royal easter show.your continental breakfast was excellent, unfortunate in the surrounding area of your hotel their weren't any eateries besides maccas and subway.but we enjoyed your conveniences for the three days thank you.

FORMULE1 Sydney Olympic Park (soon ibis budget): 5.0 out of 5 stars "Fabulous place to stay for Easter Show"

12th April 2012, Mollymook, Australia

The staff were extremely friendly and professional. Our rooms were very clean & quiet with a great outlook too! The beds were really comfortable...Hassle free stay, highly recommended. Thanks Formule1

FORMULE1 Sydney Olympic Park (soon ibis budget): 4.0 out of 5 stars "the good and beware."

23rd March 2012, Canberra, Australia

i had requested a fridge in the room and when i got there there was none, so all my food went off. that was disappointing. the bed however was excellent for sleep and for what i wanted it was great. the cost went up when obviously the hotel realised an event was on. which i found a bit rude, next time i will book before they realise it as it had been the regular price a month earlier. at that time i was looking at staying longer but when the price changed i only stayed one night and at family the other. but all in all i did have a good sleep and the bed comfort made up for it all. plus in the room the outside noises were blocked out.thanks

FORMULE1 Sydney Olympic Park (soon ibis budget): 2.0 out of 5 stars "dont stay here"

15th March 2012, dubbo

friendly greeting on arrival.room & amenities(although the toilet needed a new light bulb) were good for what we wanted. location was fantastic. however we will not ever stay there again because the carpet was not vaccumed, i saw someone toenail clippings all over the carpet . i went down & reported this & all i got was a "yuck" & we will send someone up to "fix it". I also had to make the kids beds(double bed was made)- on check-in i heard a customer say to front desk that one of their beds was not made aswell

Management responseDear Valued Guest,I was disappointed to here that your room was not vacuumed properly. I have spoken with the Housekeeping Supervisor and all the staff had undergone revised training in reference to this. I can assure you that we are taking the appropriate measure to prevent this from occurring again. As I am sure you are aware, our family rooms have double bunk beds in them. As these beds are not always used, we put the cover sheet over the mattress and then have another sheet and blanket available, on each bed, for guests to use if they need to use the bunks. We are more then happy to make the bed for the guest in advance if requested.I do hope you change your mind and give us the chance to better serve you in the future.Kind reegards,Ashley GorrellGeneral ManagerFormule 1 Hotel Sydney Olympic Park

FORMULE1 Sydney Olympic Park (soon ibis budget): 3.0 out of 5 stars "Great Position"

13th March 2012, Nowra

Rooms are very clean. The staff are friendly. Basic but great for the price. Value for money is great. The rooms are tiny but it's just a bed for the night.

FORMULE1 Sydney Olympic Park (soon ibis budget): 3.0 out of 5 stars "n/a"

Hotel was what was expected from the information received on the web site and from staying at Formula 1 hotels before.

FORMULE1 Sydney Olympic Park (soon ibis budget): 4.0 out of 5 stars "Great Place to stay on a Budget"

13th March 2012, Shazzapoplion

Great place to stay if you are just needing somewhere to sleep. It was clean, nice and great. We will definitely stay here again.

FORMULE1 Sydney Olympic Park (soon ibis budget): 4.0 out of 5 stars "One night stay!"

11th March 2012, Sydney, Australia

For budget accommodation we were pleasantly surprised the reception staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful.the room was clean - beds comfortable with fresh white linen.we missed breakfast - but were directed to cafe/takeaway next door which we also returned to for a quick lunch before leaving - also very helpful and friendly. Suited us as we arr late (24hr reception) left next morning, were able to leave bags at reception until after the event we were attending.Quiet - had a good night's uninterrupted sleep.

FORMULE1 Sydney Olympic Park (soon ibis budget): 3.0 out of 5 stars "Lack of sleep"

5th March 2012, Port Macquarie

When the fire alarm went off at about 2:30 in the morning and we were told to evacuate by electronic warning system, it took a while for this to sink in. I looked out the window saw no flames, opened the door and smelt no smoke.By the time I had got down the fire stairs there were a number of fire trucks and firefighters going about their business. What astonished me was that management had not completed a head count or even knew if all the guest were even out of the building. My concern is, if the actual building was on fire and you were a heavy sleeper or used ear plugs to sleep with, you would have never known and may have been trapped in the building. After my lack of sleep I had a very cranky day and a very difficult 4 hour drive home.Fire alarms are a necessary evil, even if they false alarm in the carpark that has CCTV coverage.

FORMULE1 Sydney Olympic Park (soon ibis budget): 4.0 out of 5 stars "Fire alarm at 2:30am"

5th March 2012, Bluedog69, Harrington, Australia

In General my stay was pleasent enough, the room was clean and tidy. The bed is incredibly hard and makes for a tough time for those not suited to a rock platform. On my final night we had a Fire evacuation at 2:30am which was fun for all....the fireman indicated it was a faulty sensor in the carpark.100 people standing out in the rain at 2:30 was not ideal.

FORMULE1 Sydney Olympic Park (soon ibis budget): 4.0 out of 5 stars "Homebush option"

4th March 2012, Melbourne, Australia

A good alternative if no extras are required. The rooms are very small but have mostly what you' d need, especially if you're out all day. It would have been nice to have a bathmat but otherwise no complaints.

FORMULE1 Sydney Olympic Park (soon ibis budget): 2.0 out of 5 stars "Not recommended"

4th March 2012, Melbourne, Australia

We felt this hotel was well and truely budget. The only thing is on the weekends you could be paying around $220 a night (Which is what we paid for one of the nights for a tiny cabin like, less than basic room. No phone, no fridge, no kettle. If you shopped around you would find other hotels in this area are loads better and a fraction more. Do your homework.

FORMULE1 Sydney Olympic Park (soon ibis budget): 4.0 out of 5 stars "Formule 1 review"

23rd February 2012, Adelaide, Australia

the hotel was in a good location for olympic park the staff were helpfull and knowlgeble I would have liked a fridge in my room but generally good. The breakfast was good value, and the hotel was within easy walking distance of trains and busses

FORMULE1 Sydney Olympic Park (soon ibis budget): 3.0 out of 5 stars "Tiny Room"

20th February 2012, Sydney

Room was tiny, 2 beds right next to each other on wheels. Bathroom separated by a curtain, one chair in the whole room.If your looking for a small room to crash in overnight and not do anything else there this is the place for you. If your looking to spend more time than just sleep in the hotel room our better off somewhere else.

FORMULE1 Sydney Olympic Park (soon ibis budget): 3.0 out of 5 stars "Did the job"

20th February 2012, Canberra, Australia

Although not up to the standard, obviously, of the other hotels in Olympic Park, it did the job and was much, much cheaper. Could not justify spending the extra for the others as we needed a place to sleep and Formula One provided that just fine

FORMULE1 Sydney Olympic Park (soon ibis budget): 3.0 out of 5 stars "Formulae 1 Sydney Olympic Park"

16th February 2012, Townsville, Australia

Good location if attending/conducting business in the area. Afffordable.Service - towels - (only one towel given my second day of stay, no face towel issued). Clock Alarm - my alarm went off every 30mins, had to removed at the wall. (May be good to check/reset clock as part of housekeeping).

FORMULE1 Sydney Olympic Park (soon ibis budget): 4.0 out of 5 stars "Very good review for Olympic Park Formule 1"

15th February 2012, Nelson Bay, NSW

My husband and I stayed at Olympic Park Formule 1 on the night of Thursday, February 9th, 2012.We have stayed at this hotel on many occasions and have always found the service friendly and courteous. On the evening of Thursday, February 9th, however, the service and courtesy of the staff at the Reception Desk was excellent. A young lady, whose name I did not get, was of great assistance when I found that the televeision in our room did not work. The batteries were exchanged on the remote and when the television still did not work, this young lady came to our room with a new remote to ensure that the television finally did work. She also offered us a new room if she was unable to get the tv to work. This type of extra courtesy was very much appreciated as we needed to see an ABC program later that evening. We always enjoy our stays at Olympic Park Formule 1 and our sincere compliments for the staff at the Reception Desk who are always helpful and friendly.Susan and Han Michel

FORMULE1 Sydney Olympic Park (soon ibis budget): 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good value and what I expect from an F1"

7th February 2012, Canberra, Australia

Can't get a better location when attending events at ANZ Stadium. I've stayed at a few F1's and this is the cleanest (but would be nice if the vacuum occasionally went under the bed). Clean bathroom and comfortable beds.
