"Basic clean and cheap hotel - do not expect anything more"
19th February 2012, Hong Kong, China
Attended in early Feb for the ice/snow festival.Very basic hotel, no real facilities beyond the (tiny) room with hard bed, breakfast not worth mentioning. But, it was clean, modern, functional, cheap, and in a good location. Staff were polite, and there is a tour agent in the foyer. Was very disappointed that they refused to accept my Accor loyalty card to accumulate points! How can they be part of the brand/franchise, accept my reservation via the Accor website, but not accept the card?

Great location close to facilities we required. Rooms basic but clean and reasonably modern. Rather small but this did not bother us as we there only overnite. Great value for money. Staff however need a little more training in terms of greeting people-rather stoney faced and not friendly.
"Best Locastion and Value for money"
29th January 2012, Biejing
I chosse this hotel, because it is in the centre of the city and not far from the Train station. We were travelling with two daughters, the rooms were given as we arrived, early in the morning. Miss rose were very helpfull and make us comfortable in hotel. The breakfast was good for the money to pay but still there is some thing to improve in replanish of food and service.Room cleaning was efficient and fast. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The English CCTV channel could be plus, if can not have CNN or BBC.Overall, our stay was very comfortable and will come back to stay in Ibis.
"Ibis Hotel in Harbin"
24th January 2012, Amstelveen, The Netherlands
The location of the hotel is great, close to Zhaolin Park, within walking distance from the river, Center Street and St. Sofia Church. The room is basic but good enough. The shower was bad, all the time the water temperature went from cold to hot every few seconds. They told me it was a temporary problem because the whole city block was being renovated and this affected not just the hotel but the entire neighbourhood. The western breakfast is simple, the Chinese breakfast better. At the reception there is usually at least 1 person who speaks reasonably good English. In the evening there is a free shuttle bus to the Ice Festival. All in all good value.
"Great value for the price"
17th January 2012, kissane, perth, australia
Stayed a few days just before the Ice and Snow Festival 2012. Very centrally located, a couple of blocks from the mall and even closer to the Russian Church. No fridge or safe in the room (but in January, we simply put drinks on the ledge outside briefly to chill them!). Basic room facilities, but perfectly adequate for the price, and hard to expect more. Didn't try the breakfast and 24-hour bar (ironically, it was closed every time we tried it!). Staff helpful, although just adequate English. We ate once in the basement of the adjacent Department Store (in the food hall). Fantastic Korean beef meal for about 30 Yuan. A very comprehensive free guide to Harbin was available from the Tourist Centre (just off to right of the mall, not far from the top, underground): many pages of information in a printed booklet (in English). Extremely helpful and a shame it wasn't at the hotel for guests.
"Good Hotel, have breakfast somewhere else, anywhere else"
5th August 2011, Jilin City, Jilin
Clean, centrally located and low priced, all good points, BUT they have no concept of breakfast. I travel constantly, I have been in China for 20 months and will be here until the end of 2012, I am also a member of Ibis Hotels. The breakfast had all the Chinese things, but in a city trying to be so western breakfast failed badly. They had a toaster and bread, no butter or spreads (or knives if they had) Coffee with no cups, milk or sugar and what was labelled "orange juice" which was actually warm, weak orange cordial. Otherwise a OK hotel, just have breakfast elsewhere.
"Good Location & Service"
14th April 2011
Hotel Ibis Harbin Shangzhi is well situated. It is near to so many shopping and eating places. It is not far from Sophia Church and the well-known Zhongyang Jie. Strolling till the end of Zhongyang Jie, you will find Stalin Park and Songhua River. I find the services given by their staff very good too.
"Very good location and very warm hotel"

"Great location to stay when visiting the Ice Festival and snow sculptures"
8th February 2011, Canberra
Non smoking room on non smoking floor was excellent. Really close to the main shopping street (especially if using the underground network) and walking distance to the Songhua River.
"good for seeing the sights"
27th January 2011, Beijing
Nice enough hotel, my only complaint is that our room was a smoking room which we had not wanted so it didn't smell good at all. However, the hotel had a tour guide in the lobby organising tours to the snow festival, tigers and ice festival which was a great help to us.
