"In the vineyard"

This is Etap hotel - yes, but quite newly built and in a calm spot, wine field as neighbour, residencial area. Beautiful surroundings! Nice firm bed which in my opionion is the main advantage of Etap, the other being value for money. Would really recommend it!

Typical basic Etap hotel that provides cheap accommodation in a down to basics way. Proximity to the Novotel allows for more livelu athmosphere than one usually finds at an Etap, restaurant and bar at the Novotel allows to hang out.Car is need to get around (to city center etc) as in almost all Etap hotels.
"Minimalist lodging"

ETAP Hotel Accor is an efficient place to sleep. It is an experience in low cost mininalistic lodging. Rooms are painted white with no decorative furnishings. They consists of a tiny bedroom off of which opens a toilet room, stall shower, which opens directly into the bedroom, and a sink within the bedroom, all designed for quick cleaning. Bed is a steel frame double width with an upper level twin mattress mounted against the wall over the double bed pillows 90 deg to the main bed. No in-bed reading lamp is provided. Additional furniture is a single small desk and a single desk chair. TV is bolted to the wall in the corner of the room. Two light weight bath towels are supplied. No bath mat, no luggage rack.A typical French breakfast is supplied at additional cost.Hotel is on the outskirts of Amboise in a residential area near no public transportation. A taxi is required to get downtown or to the Amboise train station, fare: 16 euros. Staff prefers speaking French. Amboise if a fascination town to visit and explore the magnificent Chateau d'Amboise and the charming Le Chateau du Clos Luce where DaVince lived his last 3 years. If traveling by car and looking for only a place to crash, the hotel Accor experience may appeal, otherwise stay in town which is easily navigable on foot

The hotel itself was very clean, comfortable (as I personally like my beds hard) and easy to check into. However, while the automated check in is convenient if you arrive at an odd hour, the lack of staff made it hard to ask any kind of question. In addition, the hotel is located rather far from the center of Amboise, well out of walking distance from restaurants and chateaus.

The Hotel is quite "useful"/handy.It´s a little bit out of the city centre, but it´s complete, clean and good.We´ve got some dirty towels, but the reception changed it immediately.Since you are traveling and out of the hotel more than 80% of the time, it´s a great place. Just shower and sleep. That´s it. "Handy" is the word.If you are looking for luxury or central place, it´s not the place.

Great base for exploring the Loire Valley. The room was pleasant and very affordable. We did not try breakfast but it was available for less than 5 Euros. Good hotel for couples, groups or families with children.

This hotel was just like other Etap hotels, except there was no wireless internet access available in our room, when it was meant to be.We are to speak to the staff, but they could not understand the problem.

This hotel was great for us. It is clean and quiet. It's in a rural area about 10 mins from city center by car. It is almost fully automated. Insert your confirmation number and push a few buttons and you receive you room code. Breakfast buffet was adequate. Coffee was great. A manager is there during the day but for the most part it is automated.No complaints. Enjoyed our stay.
