"Good Modern Hotel"
30th March 2012, rufa09, Leicester
This hotel is fairly new and is partnered with an Etap. It is situated in a quiet residential district and many rooms give a view of the river that separates Ciboure from St Jean de Luz. The rooms here are slightly bigger than an average Ibis. The garage is secure and easy to access and drive in and out of. (parking in the garage is charged for). All the staff are helpful, friendly and speak good English. The hotel does not have a restaurant but this is no problem. It is a very easy walk into St Jean de Luz where there is a wide choice of excellent restaurants. Being in the Basque country the cuisine has a strong Spanish influence. We have stayed here three times and find it provides an excellebt stop over if travelling down to Spain. Unless you want a large buffet breakfast do not pay for the hotel buffet. There is an excellent boulangerie and cafe immediately opposite who will provide you with good coffee and croissant for arounf 4 euros each.
"Ibis near St Jean de Luz"
12th March 2012, DJFGW, Halifax, United Kingdom
This Ibis is situated very close to the centre of St Jean de Luz, just across the river. Easy to walk into the town for restaurants etc. Parking is 7euros a night which is enough! Parking is difficult if you do not use the hotel car park.
"Ibis - Ciboure (St Jean de Luz)"
30th January 2012, Stockport, United Kingdom
An easy walk from the railway and bus station in St Jean de Luz, just across the river to the neighbouring town of Ciboure, where the Ibis offers modern, clean and reasonably priced rooms. We've stayed twice here and would definitely go back. There's a boulangerie opposite (Les Pains, Ronde des Pains) offering excellent coffee and delicious croissants and other pastry treats.
"Brilliant location near St Jean de Luz"
29th September 2011, rufa09, Leicester
This hotel is easy to find from the motorway. It is situated just across the river from the busy centre of St Jean de Luz. Reception provided us with a map and we found it a pleasant 10 minute stroll to the resort centre. Here there is a good selection of restaurants serving food with a Spanish/Basque influence. The hotel provides excellent secure parking and when we arrived the receptionist came out to meet us and give us the codes for the garage. This receptionist was very helpful and spoke excellent English. One tip, avoid the hotel breakfast. There is a patisserie opposite that opens at 7 am and provided us with cafe au lait and a croissant each for a fraction of the cost of the hotel´s buffet.
"Travellers stay at Ciboure"
21st September 2011, Lagos, Portugal
Always stay at this hotel as our stopping off point on our trip to Portugal. The hotel is well located in a very prety village with good restaurants and fabulous architecture. Rooms are basic, but very clean, and beds comfortable and large. Staff are very friendly and helpful .Only improvement I could think of would be an english speaking channel on the TV.
"Charming city"
21st August 2011, Stockholm
Nice big room but bad view (looking right into a big wall). Close to the city center but still a 10 minutes walk. Nice breakfast with good logistics. Parking garage next to the hotell with plenty of space.
"Clean, central and decent accomodation"
7th August 2011, Adast, Dublin
If you're looking for a no-frills hotel in a fairly central location, then look no further. This hotel is less than 10minutes walk into the busy town of St. Jean de Luz. The rooms are basic and we were travelling with a 15month old baby. When we requested, at the time of booking, a cot for the baby - we were told it would be provided free of charge. When we got to the room, the cot was actually a pull down bed. Not at all suitable for a baby - perfect for a child of 4 or 5. For a one night stay, without a baby, this hotel is fine.
"Great stay, thankyou"
20th July 2011, Lancaster
Good location within walking distance 10 mins of St Jean De Luz and despite being close to rail station rooms have excellent glazing for a quiet nights sleep. The rooms are the usual modern fitted furniture style with a pod like shower/bathroom which was efficient and ok for a few nights stay and it was very clean. Some rooms are larger than others and we had one with a balcony and lovely views so request a high floor.Very clean hotel and cold buffet breakfast was good so Pre-book for a good rateWe would recommend this hotel if you want a quiet location with secure parking and within walking distance of the centre.
"Ibis Ciboure"
14th June 2011, hatfield herts
Excellent short stay in room at the top number 609. Best view in hotel with small balcony. Don`t be put off by proximity to trains. Well sound insulated hotel. Good buffet breakfast but town in easy reach if preferred. Enjoy you stay
"a night to remember"
21st April 2011, Madrid
The woman at the reception desk had some patronizing attitude! Enough to say goodbye to the accorgroup. The A club card is useless when you make an internetbooking. The rooms and the bathroom in particular were not 100% clean and an Ibis hotel without restaurant should stop serving the rubbisch snacks they offer now.
