This hotel is a good value for the money i would say. The downside its about a half mile walk from the beach. The rooms are small and the walls are thin so you can hear your neighbors quite well. The free wifi is only at the bar downstairs literally within 15 ft you will lose it and the lobby areas not air conditioned so dont plan on staying too long.

"Good location but terribly arrogant front desk"

Rooms were decent, but front desk staff were absolutely arrogant and lacked common sense. We had booked 3 rooms for our extended family (which included small kids). It took 2 hours for the counter lady to us check-in - this, when there was no queue!!!! She then gave us 3 rooms in 3 different corners of the hotel. Then changed it to rooms on two different floors and eventually changed it to 3 adjacent rooms!!! Then two of the room keys wouldnt work, so had to come back again to change. On going back, the room keys would still not work. They did not replace water or teacups the following day. On complaining, they insisted that they had. I spoke to the front desk lady "Joy", and asked her to call the manager. She rudely told me "You have to wait for 30 minutes" and banged the phone down. It was not until I went to the reception and shouted at them that the supervisor made an effort to come out and talk. When I asked for the supervisor's name, she said "Bess", and the front desk lady added haughtily "And I am Joy, see the tag here", with a "Do what you want, I dont care" attitude. Small thing but ruined our experience.They would not call a meter-cab, claiming they did not have the number. Asked me to arrange the number myself.The travel agent with the hotel charges double the money for this trip compared to outside!!! A small premium is ok, but double??? Daylight robbery

"Bad room service"

Very poor room service...a 2 star wid probably have a better room service...Had called for bathing towels 5 times but no one turned up....Had to go to reception and even after that they did not send it to he room..

"Average hotel good price, clean room"

Better have room service deliver to guest room. Better have more choices for breakfast especially all day breakfast. Wi fi connection is very good and nice lobby area. I would recommend to have shuttle bus service with fee to transfer guest to the heart of Patong beach.

"Great stay"

Good quieter position in street running away from beach. Easy walk to main part of town i.e. Bangla road. Five story property with rooms overlooking the pool. Big Plus is the restaurant, air conditioned with all day dining and excellent ffood, both Thai and European.Staff all friendly and any problems solved within fifteen minutes, or your night is free.Wife loved the availability of massage and manicure/pedicure in cabana by the pool,reasonable price ( cheap by Aussie standards ) professional job with more attention and time spent the usually would receive at home. Went back to stay another 5 days.

"NO Laundry facilities provided"

It's price is cheap but the environment and facilities are fine. However, it could be an excellent edge compared to same level of hotels if laundry facilities (e.g. washing machine and dryer) are provided for guests.

"Top Stay"

the service was great as well as the rooms, it is a fantastic place to stay and the staff went above and beyond with their service. Even though the Ibis a somewhat of a budget hotel the high level of service was comparable to the expensive hotels. Friendly atmosphere. Pool is delightful. Looking forward to staying again next year

"very poor service"

The hotel was clean and good except the staff were not helpful one bit. They kept changing the room rates each time we went to the counter and they could hardly speak english. I changed my hotel after the second night coz I just couldnt deal with staff and their service specially being on my holiday. The location was not very good coz pretty much every shop nearbycloses after 6pm. Room was clean and well presented but service ws poor.

"Shopping Holiday"

Great value for money. Our alternative was to stay at the Marriott but we were always out all day so why have a lot of money tied up in a room you hardly use. Great breakfast to charge you up for the day. It was great to come back to an airconditioned room or for a swim in the pool. 20-30 minute walk to main shops, but the walk was good exercise, and safe even at mid night also you got to see a lot more of the street life at night. Alternatively find a tuktuk that will bring you home for 100 baht.

"Good Value Hotel"

Ibis hotel is clean and nice. Very value for money. Staffs are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and very thoughtful and clever designed e.g. cloth rack at the balcony, coffee and tea making kits beside the bed, safe deposit box and pool towel in the room. Very complete amenities in the room and comfortable beds. Only the corridor is with musty smell.

"Great value for money"

This is a really nice hotel, the place is better than the pictures, great value for money especially if your an accor member. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again... Only 500 meters from beach, nice pool, rooms always clean place very tidy and excellent staff, friendly and always willing to help.

"nice hotel"

the hotel is not located in front of the beach, but still can be reach by foot. you can find restaurants and shops nearby. pretty close to the center of patong's nightlife, but no need to worry for the disturbing sounds when you're sleep.

"great place to stay and only a short walk to the beach and the start of the shopping hub."

We were able to have an earlier check in time with no hassles & the rooms were very clean & modern. We stayed in the family suite which was on the 1st floor over looking the pool. The pool was very clean & the staff regularly check on your drinks & were never to far away if you needed them. The buffet breakfast was full of variety & we always had a huge breakfast then would skip lunch & have tea. The beach was only a short 5 minutes walk away & another 5 minutes on that & you are at the start of the restaurant/shopping hub. The hotel internet was very dear & I found an internet café just around the corner who only charged 1 baht per minute – cheap!! There is a minimart across the road plus laundry service which is so cheap plus tour operators who you can barter with to get the tours cheaper. The hotel organized a babysitter for us on night which was great. I was very happy with the hotel itself, the position & especially the price !!! No other hotel in the area could compare to this & I spent a long time researching hotels. We found the people very friendly & went on lots of tours of which phi phi island was the best where we went snorkeling seeing many colorful fish, fantastic beaches & we will be doing this tour again when we go back next year. We also did james bond island which was great to see plus we did elephant trekkin,g got up close to tigers & elephants at the zoo which was amazing. We also went to the market in phuket town on a sat night where we got some great bargains, they don’t have as many handbags as patong itself though. All I can say is barter barter barter & if they won’t come down in prices someone else will eventually. Tuk tuks are everywhere for transport if the kids got too tired to walk home of a night, but generally we walked home every night after having tea at some of our favorite restaurants. We will definately stay in this hotel again !! It is only a short 10-15 minute walk to bangle road for an adults night out. All in all clean, excellent service, value for money, very good location making ibis patong the perfect place for us to stay. we looked at other hotels whilst there but they were so much dearer and for what & extra pool ? i am so glad that i spent the time researching the hotels and positions as it was the best choice. we were then able to spend more money on tours & having fun !!
