« Great hotel »

The mercure hotel in torino was overall amazing. The location of the hotel was great; it was very near the central station. Also, the breakfast was fantastic as there was so much variety. The service of Marie d 'Angelo was also really good. She shows a lot of passion for her Job. She also exactly knew the needs of the guests and was always very friendly. The staff in the frontdesk were also very keen to help and didnt hesitate to help us understand the public transportstion.

« One night in Turin »

This is a good quality hotel only let down by the immediate vicinity which lets it down, although not unsafe it is run down. The receptionist was very helpful and breakfast excellent, secure car parking is available to residents.

« The weather was lousy but the service was great »

This is an old hotel which is maintained better than most. It has a lot of character. Only had one day in Turin and the weather was awful. I really wanted to see the Shroud of Turin but couldn't even find the copy! Tourism staff at various venues didn't seem to care and even the information booths proved useless. This couldn't be said of the Mercure staff who were always very attentive and helpful. Even when the loft bed area (yes, received a great upgrade) got too hot - it sorted it quickly. Their welcome water and fruit was of a better quality than most. I was particularly impressed with the welcome drink - not just the usual cheap house wine but a great local red in an amazing wine glass exactly to my liking. Thanks and well done...

« Four stars false »

Carpets dirty from reception, red carpet on the stairs dirty, dirty floors, broken wall on the apartment door. Unica really great thing was the quality of breackfast products, and the kind staff who served us in the breackfast

Stefania U, Responsabile reception at Mercure Torino Crystal Palace, responded to this review

Dear Guest, Firstly, I would like to begin by sincerely apologising for the standard of service you received on this occasion. This is certainly not a true reflection of the high quality upon which we pride ourselves on at Mercure Torino Crystal Palace hotel. I appreciate the feedback and rest assured that we take all comments very seriously. I hope you will give us another opporunity to welcome you back.

« Pleasant stay »

I chose this hotel because of it's location in San Salvario, and proximity to the train station. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Wifi didn't work in the bedroom. Room basic, but all I needed

« Nice hotel, "interesting" area »

Great location if you want to visit the old town, staff very helpful and friendly. However, there were a number of ladies and other vendors with whom I wouldn't want to do business right outside and down the side street. Our room in the top floor had a good view of mountains, but over the top of the train station!. Mercures are always an interesting brand, liked the basic hotel here, only breakfast was served, which was adequate. Very handy location for our 2 day trip here with our 2 sons (in their 20s). The other point is that car parking is very limited and has to be reserved, we parked around 400m away in a private underground park which was fine, and got a discount for being at the Mercure.

« Good value »

A good place as a stop over, we had breakfast as part of the deal too, front desk staff very helpful, only downside is location, but it's kind of what you expect by a station, rooms seem to vary for the same price????

« Excellent room but noisy street »

The staff were good, the room was excellent but the noise from the street made sleeping impossible one night. (We were on the first floor.) try to get a room on a higher floor, above the arcade or off the Via Nizza.

Stefania U, Responsabile reception at Mercure Torino Crystal Palace, responded to this review

Dear Guest, I am delighted to read that you found our staff to be friendly and helpful. I would like to thank you for your feedback regarding the noise from the street that on rooms on the first floor happens to be heard even if the rooms have soundproof windows. Once again thank you very much for taking the time to write a review and we hope to see you in our hotel again

« One night in Torino »

The hotel is very close to train station and Via Roma (main street). It also has a private parking. People in the hotel are very nice and attentive. Walk on foot at Via Roma and profit the downtown. It's really very nice.

« A hotel that suits the beauty of the city »

I stayed in at the hotel for 5 days attending a conference in Torino. It is a small hotel in the centre of Torino, close to the bus from the airport. My room was superb, with high ceilings, big windows, even a little balcony! The decor was neutral and classy. Very comfortable, spacious bathroom. I really enjoyed my time there and slept extremely well. What is best there are people at the reception who make you feel truly welcome and comfortable. Great place!

« Nice hotel, shame about the information »

A nice hotel very close to the main railway station. Very limited parking. We thought the air con was on but not very good. When we mentioned it the next morning, we were told that (even tho the temp was in the mid 30's) it had been turned off from reception as some people choose not to have it on!! This was crazy as there was the option to turn it off in the room and it was not mentioned when we signed in! The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was a complete waste of money!
