The worst hotel room during a three-week trip around South Korea

The ibis hotel in Suwon makes a first good impression with a spectacular lobby with plenty of space and a water feature. Unfortunately, the higher floors are not as impressive. Standard rooms are TINY. There's not enough space for two adults with two suitcases. More importantly, standard rooms are INTERIOR. They have windows but you don't get any view - you have a view of the inside of the hotel. Nobody can look into your room, but you can see shadows of people walking in the corridor and the lights in the corridor all night long. The main problem is that it was NOT what I expected. The description of standard rooms in Polish is wrong and misleading. It says that these rooms offer a garden view. In reality, if you check the English text, these rooms offer views of "an internal garden". Some white pebbles and a few plastic plants, not a real garden. The windows in standard rooms don't open, so you can ventilate the room and the ventilation/air conditioning unit is not powerful enough to keep a steady temperature even in April. The temperature got really high during the night, so it was hot and stuffy.

I loved the room I stayed. Everything was comfortable the quality of the room atmosphere, furniture and the lights were perfect. I highly recommend to eat the breakfast; you will not regret. I even tried the basement hot bath and it was absolutely delightful.

Very good location as there are many restaurants and coffee shops around the hotel. The front office staff speak very good English. There is a big starbucks by the lobby, which is a big plus for guests. I would never say it is an average ibis hotel as the service was perfect and professional, the lobby had very modern decoration.
