"wish we could have stayed longer"

We have stayed here sever times over the years and we have yet to find fault with anything!!!This hotel has an excellent location for catching the trains to other countries or for just walking out the door to catch the trams.

This is a nice hotel, close to the train station. There are tram stops of two separate lines in front of the hotel so getting into the city center is not a problem. The room was comfortable but very small for 2 people. Even the bathroom and the shower were quite small. But nice and clean. Breakfast doesn't have much variety. Overall, a very good option.

The location was perfect and the free transport was great!!! All the staff was very courteous and friendly, the breakfast was a bit lacking on hot food but good quantity on the rest.

Easy access to hotel from railway station by foot 8 mins or tram. Welcome at front desk good. Tram tickets for two days travel including airport bus meant trips to town were easy. Tram stop outside hotel. Room was pleasant. Large number of TV channels. Good shower. 24 hour cafe. A great place for access to train and town. Airport bus outside train station easy to access also.

I liked the courteous and friendly service. The room offered no toiletries, not even a bar of soap, but the room was clean and had comfortable linens.The breakfast was included with the room, another plus point. Overall, it is worth its value and with the added friendliness, I would definitely recommend to those watching their budget.

I have stayed at many Ibis hotels, and this is probably the best - AND also the most expensive. The hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the main station, with a tram stop right outside. The free use of local public transport during your stay is a great bonus. The reception staff were exemplary - polite and helpful. Our rooms had no view, but were clean, comfortable and quiet. Apart from the price (which is high, but still pretty good compared to other centrally located hotels in Basel), I would recommend this hotel without reservation.

Excellent hotel with great staff. Location is a bit out of the way but Basel being a small city it should not be a major problem.House cleaning could be a bit more careful entering the guests' room. I've been waken up twice with in fifteen minutes at around 9AM.

good hotel in a good central position (and free access to tram, if needed). Quite expensive, but it's normal in Basel. Very kind personnel (let me parking the motorbike for free in the garage). Clean rooms.

The location was convinient for us as we needed to be close to the train station. Pillows remains to be an issue at Ibis, particulary considering the price... I think breakfast should be allways included in the room rate.However, I must say that Antonia was great and really helped us make the best out of our experience...

The IBIS hotel in Basel is in a relatively newly build glass box. Rooms are clean. Prices represent value for money. Hotel is located close to the railwaystation and the public transport ticket included in the hotel price allows guest to take the tram to the town centre. This takes less than 10 minutes. Staff is very ready to help and friendly. I'll be back.
"spending the night for an early morning flight in Europort"

We had an early morning flight in Europort and decided to stay one day in Basel as we have not seen it before. This hotel is just next to the train station so if you come by train it is really convenient. The city centre is not that far off either especially with the tram. It is a good ,standard ibis hotel, I got what I expected.

Ibis hotels are there to provide the essentials. The Ibis Basel Bahnhof does this and is staffed by a very friendly and helpful team. Clean & efficient and does the job without any fuss. Easy walk from the station (5 minutes) and shops nearby. Easy to get into the centre of the city by tram from right outside the hotel.

Very well located hotel, when the intention is to be near the center and the train station. Excellent service, very good price/service balance. Breakfast is very good, though a little bit expensive. I would recommend it and stay there again.

This Hotel was a great find. We have stayed in various Accor Hotels before, where service and welcome are always very good. This Hotel is very new, therefor really modern and clean. The bedrooms are well equipt with hair dryer and TV and 24 hour snack menu. (sadly no tea/coffee in room) but this is available in the bar downstairs, which again is a nice area to be. Continental breakfast is buffet and very nice and fresh. Frei Pass is given on arrival which you can use on all the public transport, which is excellent., there is a tram stop just outside the hotel which takes you into center of town. We had great sleep as the Hotel was surprisingly quiet even though it was next to train and tram stations. All in all great stay and the staff were very pleasant. Parking cannot be booked in advance, so this could be a problem, we managed to park in the street. Do not park in the blue boxes, as Private, but you can park in white boxes/lines (few and far between) after 7pm the workers all come back and collect their cars and so more spaces for you, just check if on parking meter. Would stay again.
