"one night stay"
23rd May 2012, silverbeet, Christchurch, New Zealand
I just needed a clean, comfortable place to stay the night, close to a function I was attending, and this hotel was perfect for that. The only "downside" thing is that one of the lifts stopped working, and that had happened on a previous occasion staying here as well.
"Terrible, poor sleep"
14th May 2012, AuMiln, Dunedin, New Zealand
I had a hard time sleeping because of the noise day and night. Only one lift is working so have to wait forever to go down the foyer. Bathroom also dirty that you can clear see molds on the walls even with lights off. :(? Room has a distinct stinky smell that sticks on to your clothing :(
"Worst hotel I have ever stayed at"
8th May 2012, greenkumquat, Brisbane, Australia
This hotel is not even close to the rated 3 stars. The rooms were dank and had no air circulation. The lifts were broken the entire week we were there. It was always so noisy. I had no hot water for 2 days of our weeklong trip. I had frequent flyer points that I can earn there yet the manager denied it completely. The beds were so uncomfortable, you could feel all the springs. The sheets were not actually changed when we asked for them to be changed, the bed was just made again. I was not happy with any aspect of my stay at all.
"Noisy Hotel"
7th May 2012, bmkt00, Auckland, New Zealand
This hotel was very noisy as there are night clubs on either side. The lift was also broken so they put on the third floor just above the nightclubs.
"shocking stay"
4th May 2012, NationalParkAlpine01, national park
Both te lifts were out and had to walk up 300 stairs to get to our room and then carry suitcases down them. The drape over the door did not cover the window so the spot light shone directly in the room. The window would not close so the street noise carried into the room and wit 2 nightclubs in close proximity there was a lot of noise. The shower and the staff were great.
"Terrible stay - extrimly noisy, very dirty"
3rd May 2012, wirpool, Moskau, Russland
Property more likely looks like a student dormitory rather than a 3* hotel. The room are extremely small 10-12m2 (inc. the toilet). It is rather claustrophobic. The housekeeping clean very poor every other day. Do not add every day any tea/milk. One lift is always out of service, another one was working only two days out of four I stayed there. The hotel is situated in the City on the very noisy street and is being surrounded by four night clubs. Music is till 2am during biz week and till the 6 am on weekends. Windows insolation is not enough. It feels like you sleep on the street...I used to stay at 11 floor. Taking into account that lift was off two days you need to be in a good physical form/fitness form to be able to reach your room with baggage on high floor…and come down. Conclusion – stay away from this place! But the positive thing about this place is that reception staff – friendly, cooperative and good. It is not their fault that the got employment in such a hostel.
"Elevator not working"
30th April 2012, None2012, Zurich, Switzerland
One of the elevators were not working on our first stay, which took aages to get to the other one. On the second stay after three weeks both elevators were not working. So we had to use stairs to get to 9th floor and the staff didn't seem to worry about that.
"A place to stay just off lower Queen Street, Auckland"
30th April 2012, gandpfrench, Tauranga, New Zealand
We have stayed here before and found it very basic, very small rooms, but everything you need if you need to be in this part of Auckland and have limited funds. We are older folk from Tauranga who don't want the long drive to Auckland, and so travel by bus, this was very handy for us as we needed to visit a frined in North Shore hospital - we took a bus and visited the first day. Next day we took a ferry to Devonport - a bus to Takapuna - and another bus to the hospital. Very easy and using our Gold Cards all the travel in Auckland was free to us.
"level 12"
26th April 2012, spanz12, Melbourne, Australia
I guess it was just timing but the lifts were broken for a full day of my stay. Not only was I on business and needing quick get aways but I was on levle 12 of the building! Very inconvient. Staff seemed novice. But it was a clean neat room. would have been perfect if not for the lift situation.
"4 seasons"
26th April 2012, blair_thompson, Auckland, New Zealand
Lift wasnt working.fire exit door open on our level, bed was averagely comfy though no duvet cover just two sheets.bathroom flooded when had a shower due to blocked plug or something.not very pleasant. cheap but would rather fork out another $60 for a better hotel. nothing like the pictures
"Nice hotel but beware of the very noisey night club next door....."
26th April 2012, squeaky67, Christchurch, New Zealand
I took my son (9 yrs old) to Auckland over night as a birthday present for him, it was his first time away from shakey Christchurch & first time on a plane. The Hotel was clean, tidy & good value for $$$$$ unfortuately we had major problems with the noise from the Night club next door as the side wall of our room backed onto the night club. We could hear everything from very loud music to men & women yahooing & screaming & this went on until 4am in the morning, my son was very freaked out by the noise & he couldnt sleep so this did spoil his birthday treat, I did ring down stairs to be told that this happens every Fri & Sat night & because the hotel was fully booked there was nothing they could do. The Hotel is located in a really good place close to Queen Street & buses & taxis. It is a good place to stay but just make sure your room is at the back of the hotel & on the opposite side to the night club & higher up that floor 2.
"All Seasons Auckland"
24th April 2012, KaurSydney_Australia, Sydney, Australia
The location of the hotel was right in the middle of the city. The price is really cheap. I spent 4 nights there. Only one lift was working. On the second last day of my stay the both lifts stopped working. I was on the 13th floor. I told the staff to change my room to ground floor as m pregnant. They had no spare rooms so I had to climb up the stairs that was so risky for me. But next day I told them to changed my room because of my condition so they have given me a room on 4th floor. So, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone in future. It's better to spend some few dollars.
"All Seasons Auckland"
23rd April 2012, Napier, New Zealand
Central Auckland venue was the attraction and it's definitely walking distance and close to everything. Very noisy on Saturday night. Top floor room had fabulous view but was spoiled by no curtains, toilet flush system didn't work well, right next to lift so were kept awake most of the night, no phone.Staff were very obliging next day and moved us to lower floor, curtained room with ranchslider to balcony, phone and away from the lift!
"Review of All Seasons Hotel, Auckland, New Zealand"
23rd April 2012
There were only two pillows and both were quite flat. There were no lifts operating for at least 15 hours and having to walk up and down 17 flights of stairs was pretty annoying. Some sort of compensation e.g. a reduction of $20/night on the room rate should have been offered on checkout. The toilet in the foyer was not serviced - there was no handwash in the dispenser for at least 24 hours and no spare rolls of toilet paper. Only one variety of breakfast cereal was provided. It would have taken little effort from the staff for this to have been a much more favourable review.
"Makeover needed"
19th April 2012, johnblingfield35, Singapore, Singapore
The location was good but the hotel was a bit 'tired' and with only one lift working which was a problem being on 16th floor. I have to rate it like this in comparison to other Accor group hotels where I have paid a similar price.
"Unhappy visitor"
6th April 2012, Sydney, Australia
The room was tiny, the soap was never replenished, the phone in the room was out of order, the phone in reception was out of order. only one lift was in working order which meant we were left waiting for a lift for up to 5 minutes, and both my husband and myself barely slept due to the noise from the club below and the noise from the patrons of the club outside in the street. I would never stay at this hotel again.
"Close to the city"
6th April 2012, Wellington, New Zealand
The room was small but sufficient for what I wanted. It was good value for money, Stepping up to the bathroom would be awkward for older people. There was an endless supply of hot water in the shower. The second lift was not working so this held us up. It was just off Queen's Street and near the venue I was attending, Being this close to town on a weekend was noisy with night clubs and party goers close by. Staff were lovely and very helpful.
"All Weather Hotel Review"

Good value for the money. Great location, close to most of the Auckland attractions like Sky Tower, Auckland Harbour, Britomart Transport Station. Little expensive compared to hotels in US.
"my stay"
1st April 2012, Christchurch, New Zealand
The weekend I stayed was not a good one one lift was broken so it took minutes to catch the lift up or down out of your room. If you used the stairs u were locked out and couldnt get on to your floor. I asked reception to order me a taxi I came down from my room straight away but because the lift took so long I missed my taxi and didnt know so sat waiting for minutes until i asked reception and they said taxi had tooted I wasnt there so they left! I would not recommend this hotel the only good thing about it was the location
"The Hotel"
30th March 2012, Palmerston North, New Zealand
The hotel was not great at all the only good thing about it was where it was and the ladies at the frount desk.I have sent an email to accor to explain how the room was dirty, cockraoches in the room, the bedding was stained and dirty we were not impressed we would not stay there again.I was told that i would be getting an email back from the hotel but have not got one yet.Its a shame because it has made us wonder if we want to choose an accor hotel in the future.
"Better Grade of Backpacker"
26th March 2012, stgeorgesonthebend, stgeorgesonthebend
Entrance looks "modern" with exposed brick work. Reception is confusing as it part of the bar. Only 1 elevator in service - lengthy waits as there were some 15 floors to be serviced with the 1 elevator - pretty old elevator with cracked floor tiles (maybe part of the decor?). The passage to the rooms was dreary, dingy, sleazy looking - plainly un-inviting in the very dark olive like colour - no lighting to speak of!The room was very small (perhaps should have read the booking details which said 12 x 16' room). The bed was o.k. The TV was at least 25 years old (smaller screen that my laptop) and no remote! The kitchenette was very 70's. The bathroom - well probably the less said the better. No bed-site lamps - so to read was a challenge (fortunately my tablet is back-lit) and sleep you had to get out of bed.At breakfast buckets lined the seating area as rain water was seeping through exposed pipes overhead (I hope it was rainwater anyway!).Not a good look for ACCOR and most disappointing for me.Also for $ 109,00 for the night, NOT the best value in town - poor selection on my part. Just shocked that ACCOR even have such a type of establishment in their mix.
"Loud and Small"
23rd March 2012, Christchurch, New Zealand
The rooms are very small, and if you are staying on the weekend bring earplugs! The hotel is flanked by two pubs and they dont shut up till very early hours. One of the lifts has been broken for upwards of 2 months by the sounds of it. and the remaining one is held up all day by the cleaners so you waste ALOT of time waiting for it. I wouldnt stay here again.
"All Seasons Auckland"
22nd March 2012, Wanaka, New Zealand
This hotel did not meet my expectations. The rooms were extremely small, had no cockery or utensils in the kitchen, the bathroom was dirty and had no face cloth. The towel service came on day 2 at 5.30pm.............far to late in the day. One of the two lifts didn't work and you had to wait every time for at least 5 minutes for the lift to your floor.
"Auckland Business stay"
22nd March 2012, PhilHopkins, Hong Kong
I booked on line and viewed the pictures and read the description - all seemed okay. On arrival it was evident that this hotel is more suited to backpackers/budget travelers. The location is good other than there are night clubs next to and in the basement of the hotel that are noisy and operate late in the night. I was there at the time of the Volvo Yacht racing which also coincided with St Patrick;s day. ( maybe this was why the hotel price did not forewarn me that this was a budget hotel) The revelry in the streets as people left bars was also very noisy and went on until 5 am when the dumping of bottles in bins signaled the end of the evening. The bathroom was a sealed wet room and smelly - there was no wardrobe and no safe. The TV picked up 3 channels only. Certainly not any good for Business stays.
"All Seasons Nightmare"
21st March 2012, Nowra, Australia
We were very disappointed with our stay at the All Seasons Hotel In Auckalnd. Although we were advised that parking was available at the hotel this was in fact at a private parking station and we had to transport all of our luggage some considerable distance to and from the hotel as there is no designated parking (loading) space at the front of the hotel.Intsructions as to how the parking station worked were also unclear and had it not been for a friendly local we would have incurred some considerable cost to park our vehicle overnight. The loby was crowded and small and although the staff did try their best our initial impression was not good. This worsened when we made our way to our room. There are only 2 elevators, one of which was out of order (we later learned that this had been out of order for some considerable time) & to compound this the working elevator could only accommodate 6 persons (or in our case we squeezed 4 in with luggage). We were located on the top accommodation level and the elevator was very slow indeed. People resorted to catching it on the way up & do the round trip as it would invariably be full if they tried to catch it on the way down. The rooms were very small and did not have airconditioning (hot boxes). To try and get some sleep we were forced to open the door onto what I would loosley call a balcony. This consisted of a very narrow ledge protected by a not so high steel balustrade - definitely not recommended for small children..!!! The local area is a hotspot for local nightlife and it was not until well after midnight that the loud music and local population ceased to invade the quiet of our room. The combined bathroom/toilet could best be described as an oversized aeroplane bathroom and could only be occupied by one person at a time.Rennovations looked like they were being carried out on every floor of the hotel and again we were told that these had been taking place for some considerable time.Although the cost of our stay was fairly economical we have stayed in much cheaper hotels who have offered far superior amenities and services...!!!!When I enquired about WiFi connectivity I was blown away by the cost and that it was only available in the foyer area.I definitely will not be staying here again and would definitely not recommend it to other travellers
"Value for money"
18th March 2012, Christchurch, New Zealand
Very small room, in real need of an overhaul, but great value for a single traveller. Clean, light and airy styling, just needs some refurb (shower drain backing up, minimal hanging area and up really high). High level rooms have great views. Just off Queen St so very central.
"All Seasons Auckland"
14th March 2012
A very small room! Shower and toilet in the one room is ok, most hotels are like that but the room we had they were both on the same floor level in a fibreglass enclosure, meaning the shower water went all over the bathroom floor. Have to use towels to dry floor otherwise wet feet every time you entered the bathroom. Two lifts, one not working. Bulding very old and needs paint etc. The picture on the internet gave us a false impression. I suppose fair value if just sleeping one night but we then had 2 days at the Mercure down the road customs street. Extra $20 per night and what a lovely hotel.
