I can start by saying nice hotel and location, but several issues that are not so pleasent: - bathroom too small bu still fine.- hot water needed half an hour to get down, as if it was pulled from another city. - not well maintaned rooms, tab not fixed, not good quality shower. - Asked for iron and iron board, got a dirty iron that spoilled my both shirts. - Terrible sewage smell in the bedroom when switching on the AC, asked for movement, but seconned room had the same problem but less a bit. I was sick after my stay, I have allergy. - No safe in room. - wanted to charge my I phone, it was impossible to get a charger. while more than half of today business world has the iphone or ipad. - Bad pillows quality. - No paper tissues in the rooms othen than the rolls.- too expensive internet in the room, 25 DHS per hour for what. - Free internet in the lobby, great, but not so easy to connect.. And only 2 electrical plugs to connect to, while all the guest came down to lobby to connect and work. - Breakfast buffet was empty and not well refilled. - Poor food selection and copy daily. - dirty tables, no body clean the tables after each use. - very bad coffee quality using powder milk. - no papper tissue on the tablesVery poor stay, I do not recomment anyone to stay there

Novotel Deira City Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Great quality for the price"

I stayed at the Ibis out of a desire to save a buck for my "real" vacation a few days later. I usually stay at the City Centre Hotel & Residence (also owned by Accor), but since it's pool and gym area were undergoing renovation and CC was referring its guests to the Novetel next door (yet another Accor hotel, and connected to the Ibis), I opted for the supposedly "no frills" Ibis. What I got was a nice surprise. For a mere 30 dirhams per day, I got to use the Novetel pool and gym next door, albeit both smaller than City Centre's. I got a slightly smaller room than I would in the City Centre. Internet in the room is extra (but free WiFi in the lobby). There is no tub, just a shower. The Deira City Centre Mall was across the street (whereas City Centre has an entrance to the mall) But I still got excellent service at an excellent location for roughly half the price. Even when City Centre has completed their renovation I may continue to go back and stay at Ibis.

All good but the aircon took a lot of time to cool and appears that it was slightly old. Got in the guy to clean the filter. A bit better but still took time to cool. Before Ibis has an option of airport pickup and drop for free and now its all been stopped which isnt a good sign.

Novotel Deira City Centre: 5.0 out of 5 stars "A pleasure..."

...since we discovered that we are NOT 5* people. We prefer the more basic 2 & 3* not just because they are cheaper but generally more comfortable. IBIS fills this well. Reasonably priced - in comparison to other hotels locally, The system simply works but what continues to impress is the quality of the staff training. THe Customer skills of everyone is amazing. And this includes the contract security guards.Two niggles - the music in the public areas is very loud and it is constant. One longs for blesses silence. And printing and redeeming my loyalty vouchers was REALLY hard. So much so that the front dest supervisor and I retreated away to the office and spent an entertaining but pointless 1/2 hour trying to work it out together. Byzantine..Otherwise great stay albeit this time for only a single night.

Near airport. Shopping mall opposite. Very busy at check in. Had booked and pre-paid for 2 rooms, one with 2 single beds and one with double bed. On arrival after 14:00 hrs as required, only rooms with single beds were available. Told to wait 30 minutes for room with double bed but still unavailable and settled for 2 rooms with single beds. Have stayed here twice before.Book on line in advance to get better price. Swimming pool available next door at Novotel for small price. As in Europe, no kettle in room for travellers.Overall standard as one expects from a typical Ibis hotel. Built 2007

The Ibis chain is the economy brand of Accor Hotels, but invariably provides consistent value in clean, well-appointed rooms in great locations. I frequently stay at hotels near the Dubai Airportk often only for a day in transit. I found the Ibis Deira City Centre hotel to meet all my needs. In spite of being extremely busy with guests attending a nearby commercial exhibition, the check-in was quick and convenient. Likewise the check-out before my midnight flight to the U.S. I plan to stay there on my return flight in ten days.

Great location, across from City Centre Mall and close to airport. Good basicaccomidations and basic food for the breakfast you pay extra for. Beds aren't very comfortable (too hard) - which makes you sore & still after a few nights sleep. Good for the price, would recommend for the economy traveler.

Novotel Deira City Centre: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Great location, Basic Service"

This hotel has a great location opposite the Deira City Centre shopping mall and the metro station. Also only 5 mins from the airport by cab (or train). Rooms are extremely basic but clean and decent. The bathroom is tiny and basic, and equipped with a shower, loo and basin (two towels and a bath mat - no soap or shampoo - just shower gel). The shower does not have a curtain or door, but just a glass screen. This can become messy. There are no safe lockers in the rooms, but these are provided at reception - a bit of an inconvenience. The free wifi in the lobby is a great plus. Reasonable value but don't expect any frills.

Novotel Deira City Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good Value for Good Room"

Recommend this hotel for business as you can access the Metro to anywhere in Dubai. Metro is about 5 min walking and shopping, City Center is about 5 min walking also. if you want to rent a car, budget and different type of restaurants are around the corner.

The beds were so hard that you could barely get to sleep. It was so uncomfortable and it was impossible to find a position that didn't make your body ache. The room was fine, it was just the bed that made our stay a disappointment.

It would have been better had you keep Tea Maker in each room so that travellers can have Bed Tea at their own comfort. IBIS Novina Singapore had provided tea Maker and Refrigerator in their rooms. Rooms needs better cleaning and lighting is too low.

Novotel Deira City Centre: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Smoking Room"

The location is quite good- opp. of the Deira City Centre Mall, where you can find a Carrefour (hypermarket) and a large food court.Also just some footsteps away, there is the metro station, from where you can easily reach the top spots in Dubai like the Dubai Mall or the Mall of the Emirates.The hotel seems to be quite new and mainly clean, but unfortunatelly we were given a smoking room, as there was no non-smoking room available at check-in. The guy at the front desk told us to come back the next day in order to get moved in a non-smoking room for the next 3 nights of our 4 night stay.The next day at afternoon (after returning to the front desk twice) we got keycards for a room that should be a non-smoking one. While checking the new room we noticed a very disgusting smell. I suppose that an air freshener was used to cover the smell of smoke.The smell of the smoking-room was a pain in the [--], but the smell of so called "non-smoking" room was even worse.So we returned to the front desk and told the guy that we want to keep the smoking room because the proposed room is disgusting. The employee did not seem to care at all and gave no reply.Apart from the service problem I should be said that you DO hear noises from departing and landing aircrafts. Also, the room was more or less clean, but I think that it would need a renovation in the next 1-2 years.I have stayed with accorhotels at least 100 nights in the last 4 years, but I never had such a bad service!

Not too much to say, it is a typical Ibis hotel. Stay has been good, but the rooms are a little bit noisy (noise from the corridor is not stopped by the door).Very close to airport, 5 minutes by taxi.

Good hotel for 1 or 2 nights in a good location. Room was clean and within walking distance from shopping mall and train station. If going to stay for longer would pick a different Hotel but for what we needed it ticked the right boxes. Following day we jumped on the train as booked into the Atlantis...
