We could not fault the level of service and facilities at this Hotel. Definite value for money and extremely helpful staff. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are exceptional, the view and location ideal. The service provided by the staff was second to none and we would highly recommend the upgrade to premier lounge facilities. Met the nicest people and the food and drinks were exceptional. If we were ever to return to Macau we would definitely stay again at the Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16.

We enjoyed our stay at your hotel. It is away from the mad casino crowd but near to the local attractions like senando sq/ ruins of st paul. etc. We walked to all these but the weather was very humid. We washed away al the stress at the gym,swimming pool or steam bath/suana.The hotel buffet breakfast was excellent too. Only hiccup was the silly man at the ferry terminal in Kowloon directed us to the wrong ferry which brought us to Tiapa instead of macau. I would recommend this hotel if they have the same interest as us ie away from the casino crowds.

My family and I stayed at Sofitel Macau Ponte 16 for 3 days. We booked two rooms since we are a grown family of 6. Days before we checked in, I called the hotel to double check if our hotel reservations are finally set. Matias, the hotel lobby staff, was very friendly. He made me feel comfortable and appreciated. When we arrived, Sofitel Macau just wowed all of us. The lobby already impressed me with its scent, furniture and decorations. We met Matias at the hotel lobby and he gave us rooms with the best views (Macau at night is just breathtakingly beautiful). We were assisted by Esteban to our rooms. Esteban is such a kind hearted man who is always willing to extend his hand for help. He gave us maps, recommended tourist and shopping spots and even helped us easily get taxi cabs to bring us to the airport. The rooms are just double-wow. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable and beautiful! I always believe that one of the factors that you have to consider in choosing a beautiful hotel is the bathroom and Sofitel Macau has superb bathroom amenities!! Truly luxurious. :) The rooms are equipped with free fast wireless internet as well. This made my research about Macau easier. :) The food at Mistral is just sinfully good! :) I love the desserts. The restaurant truly lived up to its standard of offering famous food from other countries. The menu was truly international! :) Also, I was so pleased with the restaurant staff especially with its shift manager, Robinson. Robinson and the Mistral staff helped me come up with a 1 lb. birthday cake for my mom. Since my mom has the Accor Hotel Membership Birthday Pass Cake, I used the pass to get a free cake for my mom. Robinson and the Mistral waitress (I forgot her name) truly helped me in getting this yummy Mango Mousse cake. My family and I surprised Mom in her room with the birthday cake and she loved the surprise!!! :) Yay!We checked out and left our huge luggage with the hotel staff after 2 nights. We left it there since we would be staying again at Sofitel after our 2 day stay in HK. I negligently left my new Clarins cream at Sofitel. When I came back to Sofitel, Noriko was extremely helpful in finding this cream. Noriko asked me about my stay and how I find Macau and its food. She was super friendly that we ended up talking for 20 minutes! :)Sofitel made our stay worth every penny! Double thumbs up to the hotel and its staff!! :) I will definitely come back to Macau because of this hotel!

"Visit to Macau"

My wife and I came to Hong Kong 5 years ago and went to Macau for a day tour. We loved the old quarter, the atmosphere, the shopping and St Pauls ruins.So on this trip we decided to stay at Macau for a couple of days and we wanted to stay in a classy hotel near the old quarter, rather than a fancy casino. The Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16 was an obvious choice and it was only a 15 minute easy walk to the location we wanted to be at.The hotel is very impressive and grand, starting at the Foyer through to the rooms and the Sofitel Club Lounge. My wife and I decided to go back to Hong Kong to celebrate our 35th Wedding anniversary and made a reservation for a King bed on the club floor.The staff at the Sofitel went out of their way to make us feel at home, being personally met by the Assistant Manager in the foyer, taken up to the Club Lounge for afternoon tea and a leisurely check in. Everyone knew you by name for the stay, very impressive.Although the bed was not the normal Sofitel Pillowtop dreamy bed that we have come accustomed to, thus a little bit hard, the room, the view and the customer service was outstanding to excellent.A great experience and great value for money, so would recommend it to anyone.

I have stayed at Sofitel Ponte 16 many times due to being a member of Accor Advantage. It is a wonderful hotel with great efficiency. Rooms are nicely maintained despite the age of hotel. Great food at its main cafe. Also, location is convenient and quiet. A great choice for Macau!The only negative is hard to catch a taxi from hotel but that is a problem for Macau in general.

Waiting too long for Shuttle bus. It is inconvenient that there is no shuttle bus between hotel and Taipa. The attitude of the staff are very good.

"Excellent Hotel except........."

Excellent hotel except shuttle bus to ferry terminal needs improvement. We waited almost an hour as each bus comes every 15 minutes and the queue reached the main door of the hotel. Although there were empty buses but unfortunately they adhere strictly to their schedule. Many guests complaint to the hotel staff but no action taken.We hope the hotel will serously look into this so as to upkeep their good reputation.

"Macau Short Stay"

Although we only stayed for two nights I am certain a longer stay would have been even better.This hotel was fantastic from the first approach at the reservation desk to the room we were offered on an upgrade, this room was really lovely. We had a meal in the restaurant called Mistral I think, the service was first class as was the food. We could not fault this hotel in any way we were very happy and satisfied with our stay.

the rooms are quite big, clean & luxious with sight view of sea. The service is quite good with free charge of internet. The location is very near to the downtown, 5 minutes walking. There several bus lines can reache to every conner of the city. I'll stay in it next time.

"Shuttle bus service"

Everything so nice except the shuttle bus service from hotel to the pier which change my overall rating from excellent to very good. While waiting for pick up luggage, I ask the driver to wait for a minute and he said he cannot wait impolitely and close the door and left the hotel immediately. I then reflected the situation to a lady in the luggage service counter, but was told that the driver is not your staff and she can do nothing. I am very shocked about this statement. I think there should be a mean for customer to suggest improvement on service.

"Nice hotel but outdated casino"

Hotel is very clean and nice and staff is delightful. The rooms were very nice. The only negative point is that it is slightly far from the other hotels and casinos. The casino at the hotel itself is very old and needs some serious revamping. If you are going to Macau to gamble, I would not recommend this hotel. Otherwise it's a very good choice.

Convenient Location close to town centre and traditional tourist places. Wonderful sea view with the whole Macau pennisula on the right side and China on the left. You can feel the traditional old life of Macau with busy travellers going back and fro in the piers.

This my second stay at this hotel. The service was good. After checking in, we were queuing for a taxi to go elsewhere there was no taxi in sight. After about 5 minutes, one of the bell boys came to ask the people in the queue where we were going (there were about 5 parties of about 12 to 13 people). He then started to make calls and after a while, taxis started appearing. One plus for service. However, on the next morning, the cleaners came knocking on our door very early in the morning asking us whether we were checking out. We had the "Do Not Disturb" light on but they they did seem to notice. Then after about an hour, another cleaner came back again asking us whether we needed our room cleaned. He must be in a hurry. This affected our sleep. In the following day, we had the "Do Not Disturb" sign out on the door handle in addition to the lights. They did not come knocking. So, there;s still room for improvement.

"Nice visit"

Location is great, its in the main location of Macau. Just 5-10 minute walk to popular restaurants and gift shops. The room was very clean and tidy, love the Hermes amenities. Although I was staying on the executive floor, but the floor above is the restaurants and I can hear chairs are being pulled around which was a bit annoying.The lounge near the lobby was nice, nice atmosphere and great service from the staff. Although the food's quality could of been better.
