"Pompy Uni Visit"

Visited my Daughter at the Uni.Room worn but generally clean , stain on carpet.Childs bunk bed was not made up & only one bath towel supplied although room booked for 2 Adults & 1 Child.No Kettle or Cups.Good Value for £29 pn , will Probably use again.

"Handy stopover in Portsmouth"

We picked this hotel because it was handy to the ferry and we were delighted with our stay. There was free parking next to the hotel and free wifi. The rooms are very efficiently laid out so that you have everything you need. Everything was spotlessly clean and the beds really comfortable. We didn't take the breakfast but for a few pounds more you could have all you can eat in a buffet breakfast. For a budget hotel, this is really outstanding comfort and value.

"Great Stay, Great Price"

A mate and I wanted to have a bit of a big night out, we travelled down from Reading on Friday after work to Portsmouth for a Night Out. Room had everything you would want. Double Bed, Good Shower, Space. Didnt really spend much time in the room, but for £27 it was absolutely fantastic !! Cant fault it.

"Good value accomodation"

This hotel is very handy for us when visiting our daughter. The rooms are rather small but very clean, the shower is very good. We enjoyed the breakfast and found the staff friendly and helpful. We were on the 4th floor and it was very peaceful. There is no facility for making tea/coffee in your room but you can get drinks from a machine on the ground floor for a small charge.

the hotel is quite far from the town center of portsmouth and if you want to see everything you will need a car. On arrival pablo has been brilliant and really really helpful with good advice about where to go. The other member of staff was less interesting by the guest and we had to stand for breakfast the following morning before than one of the 5 member of staff came to us. Otherwise the hotel is good value for money.

"Value for money"

At £18 per night this was a true bargain! Great shower, comfortable bed. My only niggle is the plug socket for my hairdryer... not near enough to the mirror. Staff were pleasant and helpful.Location was slightly out of the way but who cares at the price... more to spend at the fantastic Gunwharf outlet. Plenty of overflow parking on the B&Q carpark if the hotel was full.

"A very good stay"

I have nothing negative to say about my stay at the Etap Hotel in Portsmouth. Everything was excellent. Pablo at reception was very helpful and polite to my wife and I. It was our first ever visit to Portsmouth so naturally we we a bit " Lost " Pablo was very friendly and assisted us with directions in Portsmouth etc. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable and clean,and breakfast was enjoyable. It was all good value for money. We would stay at Etap again as we've done many times before with no problems experienced.

Room was cold and aircon noisy. But clean. Staff friendly. Have stayed before and will stay again as we only need a basic room when visiting friends in Southsea. Very convenient for bus into city centre.

Use the Hotel frequently, weekly.Generally, good value, very clean, good service,little disappointed this time with room as the shower and sink were emitting an unpleasant smell throughout the room.
