Sofitel Mumbai BKC: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Satisfied"

6th March 2013

Very satisfying experience with respect to service, ambience, quality of food and roms, only issue was that the rooms were too much cramped up. They need to be llittle more spacious. All the reataurants are very well decored and again execellent food. Over all a Memorable stay.

Sofitel Mumbai BKC: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Great value 5* hotel"

20th February 2013, JohnLoxley, Camberley, United Kingdom

I used the Airport transfer service both ways which was fast & effecient. The room was very comfortable and the service throught my stay was excellent and faultless. There is a good choice of restaurants in the hotel and a bar which is great value during the daily "happy hour" promotion. The only minor critism I would have is that the Aircon in all the public areas was set a little hot for my liking (26 deg C), although my room was fine. At least it worked unlike in many 5* Chinese hotels that I have stayed in!

Sofitel Mumbai BKC: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Valentines Special"

19th February 2013, rb28Mumbai, mumbai

My stay with Sofitel BKC Mumbai was planned for just one day for Valentine's, but we ended up staying for 5 days and it was an amazing experience. Apart from the really plush decor and amenities in their standard room (luxury room) to their junior suite where we spent the remaining 3 days was amazing. Not cause of the provisions they have they are the most hospitable, polite and always ready to serve you their best staff they have. Each person from the person opening the door to the hotel to house keeping to their duty managers were extremely hospitable and courteous. They don't look after you. THEY "SPOIL AND PAMPER" YOU. We are going to keep going back cause they are so GOODDDDDDDA very special thanks to the Duty Manager - Anshul Chada, Restaurant Manager at Pondhicherry Cafe- Abhishek Sheopuri, Merwin & Restin at Club Millesime, Smita at Guest Relations and Rakesh Thakur - House Keeping.A very heartfelt thank you to all of them and especially above mentioned staff.ThanksKayzad & Reemma

Sofitel Mumbai BKC: 5.0 out of 5 stars "one of the best"

17th February 2013, bundra, Perth, Australia

first time in Sofitel at Bundra . magic hotel , great service , food, and location for diamond centre , but o'boy the beds are to die for . the best nights sleep in a hotel for years . Will only use this hotel for all my future trips to Mumbai. Only down side is the area is a bit quiet so no night life but for a 3 day visit could not have been better .

Sofitel Mumbai BKC: 5.0 out of 5 stars "super stay in new hotel"

14th January 2013, kristenParis_France, Paris, France

the exceptional staff, espcecially the concierge department, but truly everyone, made a huge difference to my first stay in india. extremely high quality food as well... i feel confident to compare as i also stayed during this trip at the four seasons mumbai, which was excellent, but far more limited and pricey in their buffet, choices, etc.

Sofitel Mumbai BKC: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Beautiful with some minor caveats"

4th January 2013, WorldHappy, WorldHappy

Sofitel is a unique, beautiful property in the new business district of Mumbai called Bandra-Kurla (BKC). The area is quiet (really, quiet) far from the maddening crowds of the old city, and though remote, it is still near enough to everything to make this respite worth the extra travel. The hotel is chic, overly stylish, and ultra-contemporary (well sort of, not sure what anyone would call this decor). The Indian staff say bonjour and bonsoir which is at best pretentious but the graciousness and attentiveness is by any standard exceptional. Everyone is beyond helpful. The rooms need help. In our one bedroom suite the glass entry to the bathroom means no privacy at the sink, getting out of the shower, etc., what were they thinking. There is also no bidet (won't make the Europeans happy) and no hose (won't make the Asians happy). The couch is as uncomfortable as it gets though it is beautiful. The switches aren't labeled and it is an endless guessing game as to what turns on what. Regrettably a new buidling is under construction on the side of the building we were staying on so being on the 12th floor offered no advantage. The food in their casual, buffert restaurant was absolutely some of the best we've had in Mumbai an astounding presentation three times a day. The two formal restaurants were really very good just not great. The club lounge was wonderful and the food more than ample but it was just always unclear as to when you pay for things and when you don't. We're curious to try the Trident next door when in the area again but without question this is one to keep at the top of the list.

Management responseBonjour Valued Guest,Thank you for taking the time to post your review regarding your recent stay at the Sofitel Mumbai BKC, and for your candid feedback. We would like to share with you that the design of the hotel is inspired by French and Indian textures. The Art-Deco design blended with Indian embellishments is the hallmark of Sofitel Mumbai BKC. Each Sofitel hotel across the globe offers a genuine experience of French luxury and the best of local culture, and that is the reason behind our greeting of “Bonjour-Namaskar” in the morning and “Bonsoir-Namaskar” every evening. We appreciate your comments on the room interior design and functional aspects, some of which we are in the process of evaluating, like the hygiene faucet, whilst some like a full privacy bathroom are available already. Do let us know on your next visit if you would like us to reserve a room with frosted glass in the bathroom. We have also completed the labelling of switches in most of the floors and will soon be completing the balance. We regret the inconvenience this may have caused you during your stay.We would like to thank you for choosing our hotel as your accommodation choice. It was our pleasure being at your service and we look forward to welcoming you back to Sofitel Mumbai BKC in the near future.Sincèrement,Aashima SharmaHotel Manager - Sofitel Mumbai BKC

Sofitel Mumbai BKC: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Excellent Rooms!"

3rd January 2013

The fact that this hotel is away from the traffic prone areas of Mumbai gives it an edge over the others..but on the flip side it wears a very deserted look, at least during my stay it looked like I was the only one living in the hotel. Cleanliness, rooms etc. - Excellent. If you like Awadi food this place (Jyraan) is excellent. Pondicherry Cafe - Disappointing! The services at the restaurants are reasonably good. Room services could have been better. Rating: 4.5/5
