It is very hard for me to put into words the service that we received during our stay at the Ibis Brighton Station…. However, I will try… Absolutely awesome, fantastic, wonderful, exceptional… trusting that you get the picture... the service from the team from the receptionist to the housekeeping team through to the hotel management all were friendly, professional and efficient beyond reproach with them always striving to ensure that or stay was the finest that we could experience with nothing too much trouble. Without a doubt some of the finest customer service and hospitality that we have received in any hotel in the United Kingdom. The other positive for this hotel is its location in the heart of the city of Brighton, adjacent to the cities main railway station, with its direct connections to London (in under an hour), Gatwick Airport and the towns along the south coast including Eastbourne and Worthing. Also, bus connections can be found just outside the hotel to the whole of Brighton and Hove, on the cities excellent bus service. The beach is a ten-minute walk away. I do not want to be negative about this hotel, however, the rooms were disappointing compared with other Ibis Hotels that I have resided at in the UK; they are a little dated in terms of décor and amenities, for example, the televisions are old and small, there is nowhere to comfortable sit with the chair being formed plastic without cushioning, there is limited power to the bedside etc., yet the bed and linen are wonderful aided a fantastic nights sleep. I should add that the hotel is spotlessly clean throughout. A wonderful welcome awaits you if you stay at this lovely hotel in the heart of the action in the cosmopolitan city of Brighton.

It’s a practical place for me. I have a couple of comments. Firstly I opt not to have my room serviced which saves washing and unnecessary cleaning. I like thus option. However it would be nice to be able to empty my bin somewhere and to have a toilet brush. I also found it slightly unpleasant, after having paid over £400 pounds for a multi night stay, for my final interaction with the hotel staff to be the demand of £3.00 for storing a bag for a few hours. This rather spoiled my departure experience.

Good location but bathroom not clean on arrival

Good location 5 minutes from station and main shops. Unfortunately the bathroom was covered in hairs when we arrived. This was eventually rectified although when I chased it up, the cleaner said they’d knocked with no answer, but we were sat waiting for them to arrive. Taps had not been cleaned either. Room smelt strongly of cleaning bleach, be nice to open a window. Nicole was excellent and sorted out my breakfast as I’m gluten free and don’t eat a full English. Great to have the option to buy a coffee and pastry instead. We were told to produce photo ID on arrival, I don’t remember seeing anywhere I had to bring it, which was because I had my child staying with me? The check in lady said if you aren’t with a responsible adult you aren’t staying with us! I get that for young groups but not a parent with a child. Overall a good place to stay but please spot check your cleaners.
