Mercure Siracusa Prometeo: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Not the best Mercure"

28th August 2013, Steyning, United Kingdom

Staff not very helpful. On arriving was unable to gain access with all our luggage until my friend walked from the car park to the front of the hotel. Bar was closed both nights although advertised to be open until 10:30. Complimentary 2 day bus pass was useless did not see any buses on our walks to Ortyga which took 40 mins not 15-20 as advised by reception. Second day the tourist info told us there were no buses as it was a holiday. No tea & coffee in our room but there was in my friend's room. Was told that they had been given an upgraded room but this the first Mercure I have stayed at without this facility. Only plus point is that it is opposite the historic archaeological site.

Mercure Siracusa Prometeo: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Very good stay"

21st July 2013, Surrey1948, Cobham, United Kingdom

Really good time - staff friendly and very helpful. Room clean and shower worked well. Nice to have tea and coffee facilities. Enjoyed the restaurant both for breakfast and dinner. Pool lovely - got a bit crowded at times.

Mercure Siracusa Prometeo: 5.0 out of 5 stars "A very comfortable stay"

4th July 2013, Sarah7991, Trowbridge, United Kingdom

Rooms very comfortable. Plenty of room with 2 adults and toddler. Bar staff and breakfast staff so accommodating and friendly. Maid service every day. Clean towels every 2 days and changing of beds half way through our weeks stay. Hotel quiet with no noise from other rooms. Could hear some traffic but not too bad. Would definitely stay again. Good location for Greek ampitheatre.

Mercure Siracusa Prometeo: 4.0 out of 5 stars "French visitor"

27th February 2012, Vitrolles, France

I stay in this hotel for a couple of day every month for business. This hotel is quite pleasant and they have a free parking (very useful in this city). Rooms are very confortable and quiet. Breakfast is copious and various. For dinner, it's quite expensive and not necessarily tasteful. The only thing I can reproach to the hotel , it's the 5 euro they request for the wifi, taking into account the room's rate, this should be free, it's mean on behalf of hotel.

Mercure Siracusa Prometeo: 5.0 out of 5 stars "An excellent hotel with excellent service"

12th August 2011, sgp1, Moscow

Because of its previously planned tourist trip could not stay at more than one day. Excellent service, especially elegant and affable manager Umberto. On the morning of the rooms of the hotel spread the printed newspaper - it's nice to get news from home in their native language. The hotel has an excellent restaurant and a rich breakfast with delicious local sweets. The hotel is fully equivalent to 4 *. Mercure Siracusa Prometeo recommend if you want to comfortably pass the time.

Mercure Siracusa Prometeo: 4.0 out of 5 stars "A good choice if you don't have to stay in Ortigia"

2nd July 2011, Lisboa

This is a no fuss good modern hotel within walking distance of the Archeological Park. For Ortigia a car is a must: it is easy to get there and back (even during rush hours) and to park. The front desk is both efficient and friendly. The hotel food is unimpressive to say the least. There is a very nice swimming pool and bar on the the top floor.
