My 3rd stay at this hotel. Easily accessed by car then the CBD or Darling Harbour is an easy walk. Clean, practical rooms with king size bed of two singles joined. Floor space is limited however and access to bathroom a litle awkward.

While the room was smaller than we expected, the front office staff and room attendants were both cheerful and friendly and also helpful. The Hotel is situated very close the the Sydney ferry system, buses and trains and many good restaurants on the harbour. All in all a most pleasant stay.

My husband and i recently stayed at the King Street Wharf Ibis, Sydney for a weekend break. We booked the room through Accor Advantage Plus and we are Platinum Members of Accor Vacations. It was supposed to be a complimentary room however there were none available so I booked a superior room. I did expect to get a Queen sized bed, however it was a double or a very small Queen. Both my husband and I are tall, we both had our feet hanging over the end, very uncomfortable. The bed was similar to a fold up bed and the mattress was very hard and uncomfortable. I would hate to stay in an unsuperior room (that thought scares me)! The towels were not washed properly, there was make-up or maybe blood left on the towels. The cups/glasses are obviously washed in the room in the hand basin?? As there was lipstick left on them, they should be replaced not just washed. The timber floating floor was cold and noisy. The room was quite sad and abysmal. I would not stay in an Ibis again. I would not recommend Ibis to any of my family, friends or colleagues. In fact I will oppose them efven thinking about them booking an Ibis. The parking at $45 per night was excessive, even for Sydney. The staff on the desk both at check in and check out were very helpful and lovely, that was a bonus.
"Small but clean and good value"

Very little room, tidy and everything you need for a comfortable stay. Good value for a Sydney stay and if you're just looking for somewhere to crash.Walking distance to all the great restaurants at King Street Wharf.Linen was a bit odd - sheet, followed by doona (no cover) and another sheet - haven't seen that configuration before!
"Excellent value in the city"

Great service from check-in to checkout. Rooms compact but spotlessly clean, bed very comfortable. Location perfect for exploring all of Sydney attractions. I am an A-Club member and stay in hotels across the brand worldwide, and for value & location I have found that Ibis Hotels are fantastic.

"GREAT HOTEL"
21st April 2012, John2496, Sydney, Australia
This hotel is so centrally located to all that Sydney can offer. A short walk to transport and the main part of the CBD. Very good for eating at Darling Harbour Just a short stroll down the road. It represented great value for money

"Perfect for short stay"
15th April 2012, thewebchild, Adelaide, Australia
We just needed a hotel close to King St wharf that wasn't expensive, as we were spending time with family and not sitting around in the hotel. I like Ibis hotels and have always found them very good value and service is excellent.

"Clean, modern, good location"
10th April 2012, Sydney, Australia
Staff are very helpful, rooms are very clean and new, great night's sleep for the middle of the city. Onsite parking is a pain, you have to check in before you can access it and bathrooms are very small.

"Dissatisfied"
23rd March 2012, Canberra
In recent years we have started to be somewhat disturbed by the quality of the room offerred when booking a compiementary room. This is dispite invariably staying for more than 1 night & paying the normal tarrif for the other nights.Whilst not seeing any of the other rooms I am confident that Room 102 was at the lower end of the quality scale.Althought it had a large window it was approximately 50 metres from the street over a driveway & with flyovers and other construction work overhead to the extent that no natural light entered the room. All Staff encounred were pleasent & efficent so no compliant was made but it has caused us to consider our futer Accor membership.

"King Street Wharf location perfect for travellers"
18th March 2012, pvk4, Canberra, Australia
Very clean and extremely well located hotel with helpful staff. I requested a room with no noise and was located 602 which was at the rear of the hotel with double blinds. It was very quiet and we slept perfectly although the bed wasnt A1 quality. With a discounted price it was very good value.

I thought the cost of the room was very high given the size and amenities included, Breakfast was average on choice given the price was high and extra over the room
"Sydney City"
2nd March 2012, CINROCKS, Cairns
Paid top dollar for a less than 3 star establishment. Room was very small. Were given 1st floor room, so no view other than an on ramp full of traffic. Workers working on road below, though that is not the fault of the hotel. A short walk to darling harbour. Restaurants also close by.
"Not too bad"
23rd February 2012, Kiwilock, Auckland, New Zealand
Rooms are very small for what you are paying for - Quality ofbed was very good and the fittings in the room are nice and modern - Overall not too bad just a bit too small for 2 people to stay in for more than 1 night
"DON'T STAY HERE!!!!!!"
20th February 2012, Kurri Kurri, Australia
Extremely BAD value for money. You can stay 800 mtrs away for the same price and get spoiled with excellent service. Rooms VERY small and nothing like they advertise. OVER PRICED!!! Staff have no idea what they are doing. was told a bed was made up and ready, IT WASN'T. Was overcharged!!!! Took far too long to check out because of staff mistakes. Other customers were also receiving poor service and overcharges at check-out as well. Don't stay here!!!!!!!!

"Good hotel"
13th February 2012, Melbourne, Australia
The ibis King Street Wharf was a pleasant hotel at a very good price for central Sydney. Whilst it was a bit close to the freeway ramp, I could not hear the traffic. The breakfast at the restaurant was nice and represented good value at $10 when taking the Accor discount into account.
"2 nights"
10th February 2012, Auckland, New Zealand
Great location, after 12 days aboard a cruise ship inside cabin, our room seemed slighty bigger, but just. Using 1 night complementary for one of two nights stay, it would have been nice to have been offered an upgrade for a 6 year member?.Staff were very helpful and friendly, as i might say, we have experinced with all our accor stays, much appreciated.keep up the good work, best regards, Pauline & Lee (NZ)
"In general I liked it"

"couldnt swing a cat"
1st February 2012, sydney
Rooms were tiny, parking was $40 extra, there was only one person on desk when checking out and we had to wait with 6 others. The location is good if you are catching a boat from wharf street and it was quiet, but no view.

1st February 2012, Sydney, Australia
The hotel was good overall but was surprised at the size...I thought the rooms were on the small side and other ammendities such as the lobby bar and breakfast area were also small.....but overall I was happy with the stay and was happy with the customer service from the staff at reception.....

"Another disappointment"
25th January 2012, Shellharbour, Australia
While this is not entirely the fault of the hotel, it was still another disappointing stay through Accor. It took 11 months to find an available hotel to use our complimentary night at a time that suited us. The reservation was booked through the Accor website, and confirmation email was received.Driving to the hotel - no signage resulted in us having to go over the Harbour Bridge (on a Friday afternoon peak), and susbequently through the city. So 40 mimutes later we got around the city block and made it to the hotel. Very limited parking space to check in - we drove around the hotel block another 3 times before I hopped out to check in while my husband continued driving in circles. No signage for cap parking either.Once at the reception counter I was informed that there must have been an error with the computer system as our reservation was not there. I was assured that she would find me a room. I was given a card to enter the car park, although told that it is hard to see as there is no signage, oh and the security gate is broken too.To their credit they had a room ready for us straight away. Rooms were basic, but very clean, tidy and well designed. The next morning at check out - we were given the brush off by the manager that was on at the time - saying that there is no point complaining to Accor as the reservation showed up on his system. If it was there all along - why give us the extra stress when we arrived? Why tell us that they often have this problem? Why offer us compensation if it will not be honored? Yes we managed to get a room - but 3 out of 5 years with Accor have proven almost impossible to use our complimentary night without any sort of drama. I guess this is our lesson learnt.

"Average"
12th January 2012, sydney
Great location but rooms are little boxes, if you want to get a good nights sleep I wouldnt recommend it for the value.Rooms are very clean, but the bathroom is only 2 steps from your bed.Rooms are ok for a night but unless you get a bargain rate it is over priced.
