The hotel is located right at the airport within walking distance to the terminals and monorail to NEC. Rooms are clean and staffs very helpful. The only complaint is inadequate towels and lack of hair dryer

Ideal for Birmingham airport we always try and stay here iether on the way there on coming back.. Located right by airport and Birmingham international railway station.Very clean and not too expensive.

"Not the best staff"

Great location on the doorstep of the airport.Hotel was really busy due to an event at the NEC. Price of a room had doubled that night unfortunately.Staff at breakfast were not very helpful. Might have been due to the fact the hotel was full but some manners would have been appreciated.

"Extremely Good Hotel"

On arrival the staff were extremely pleasant and although the colour of the decor (mid green)was a little shocking, we were very happy with all aspects of the hotel. We would not hesitate in staying there again.

"Flight stay over"

Used the hotel as had an early morning flight. Room was functional rather than sumptuous but for a cheap (£22) one night stay it is hard to fault. Hotel is ideally located and no more than one or two minutes walk from departures. Hotel only serves a buffet style breakfast so we had breakfast at Wetherspoon's in the airport. Ate at the Ibi, which is next door to the ETAP, in the evening before the flight and food was OK; plus you get 10% off the bill if you show your ETAP key card.

"Good value no frills hotel"

Good value basic hotel. Stayed over night after day at The Gadget show at the NEC. Basic room, with excellent shower! Right next to airport but slept with window open and no probs with noise. No on site parking but reduction on NCP next door, still worked out cheaper than other local hotels with parking.

"Great Value - Excellent Service"

Great hotel, metres from the aiport, parking very close by, not expensive. Bar cclose by, very easy to get to, no waiting. Excellent, will def use again and highly recommended. Couples, travel for the weekend. 30-50 years of age.

"ideal for early flight"

we have stayed at this hotel on more than one occasion as it takes the stress out of getting to the airport on time. Although facilities are basic they are clean and you can get up have a breakfast and walk over to the airport without any getting up in the middle of the night to travel and worrying you will be late for your check in . you can eat at nearby hotels for dinner or at thecafes in the aiport or take a bottle of wine and grab a tasty salad/sandwich from the 24hr M and S store in the airport and snuggle in front of the tv for a relaxing start to your hol. only downside for us this time was that it cost double the usual price due to Crufts being on !hence lots ofdogs about too!!

"Hot room"

The hotel is great for a short stay, and is only a short walk to Birmingham airport. Check in was quick and easy, and the room very clean. This was my second stay at this time of year, and the only complaint I have is that the room, and bedding is too hot. It appears you cannot alter the room temperature (maybe just when the Winter heating is on), there is a quilt within a cover, so no bed clothes to remove really. Both times I have ended up removing the quilt and just doubling the cover of me. Shame, because the bed itself is comfy, I would have liked to have been able to sleep all the way through without inconvenience of getting hot.

"Why pay more?"

The Etap hotel at Birmingham airport is perfect for an overnight stay or 2.Located 300 metres or so from the terminal building, it takes a few minutes by walk.Quick check in, rooms are comfy, very clean and quiet...not a sound, so I had a really good sleep and being a solo traveller I felt very safe here.Excellent breakfast from 4 am, free Wii Fi.Drinks and snacks are very well priced, and if you book a room early enough,the prices are amazing for an airport hotel.But even if you are a 'late booker', it is still excellent value and the only place I would stay when using Birmingham airport.

"Room with a view"

We were disappointed not to find a kettle in the room and have to pay for any hot drinks in the reception area. Booking online was not as easy as it could have been. There was no facility to add a third person for breakfast or be able to alter the booking to add another night's stay or to prebook parking. The receptionist was very helpful and answered all our questions politely. The shower was first class, just what you need after a long day. The tv kept switching itself off so we ended up just leaving it off. Although the room was clean and tidy, it was very small and only fit for somewhere to sleep.We booked this hotel because it was central to the NEC which was our intended venue for our stay there. We will probably look for somewhere else next time.

"Excellent value for money in very handy location"

If you want a cheap & cheerful hotel at Birmingham Airport, you can't do better than this. We paid £18 for two adults staying one night. The rooms were very clean & comfortable, and we had a good nights rest, and were only 3 minutes walk from the check in desk at the airport.

"Early flight insurance."

Booked this 2 months prior at the crazy promotional £18 purely for peace of mind to be at the airport for an 08:15 flight, in case we had a dose of the evil snow and ice of last 2 winters. After reading other reviews about hard beds, I 'phoned manager Frederic Dumont on morning of 19:00arrival to request a mattress topper and he duly obliged, even offering an extra duvet if required! Even at the usual £36/night I would think that Accor group would fit beds with some kind of suspension, not the solid chipboard bases presently in use!Otherwise, a perfectly sound and economic stop-over within yards of the check-in desks.

"Perfect location"

This hotel was in the perfect location for my airport needs...with only a very short stroll across the carpark to the main terminal means extra time in bed!!There are food places in the terminal buildings but the hotel also does reasonable food at a good price.I booked 30 days in advance & the double room was only £18.There is parking close by & also easy access to the rail link & train station, I have stayed here once before & would not hesitate to book again when I am due to fly out of Birmingham.

"A good alternative to the Big Boys!"

The hotel was great value as was the buffet breakfast which is paid for as an extra but well worth the small extra cost. The room we had was small and basic but clean and comfortable with a shower and seperate toilet that were again very small but clean and modern and adequate for our needs. We only stayed one night after an evening flight from Germany and this hotel is fine for one or two nights.

"MHM at Etap Birmingham Airport"

"low cost, good quality"

The Etap at Birmingham Airport is one of 3 hotels there all in the Accor group. The Etap is the lowest cost and pure;y caters for overnight guests who stay before they travel elsewhere. Prices atart at £18 for a room for 2 or 3 people and all are pretty basic, but clean and comfortable. For food go to the Ibis or the Novotel which are a couple of minutes walk away and you can be at a check in desk in Brimingham airport in less than3 minutes.

perfect for an early flight . easy to get to by train and monorail straight into airport with hotel 5 mins walking distance. hairdryer not in room but bought a cheap one in airport.only paid £18 for the room . bunk bed was difficult to get out of . however i would stay here again. in fact already booked for a march hol. !!!!!!!!

"Basic but great value for money"

The receptionist was very helpful/friendy. Rooms were basic but clean. Wouldn't expect any real luxuries for the price though. Could do with a thicker mattress though as we found the bed a little hard on the basic mattress. The breakfast was good with plenty of bread for toast and croissants. Would definitely use this hotel again and would recommend it for people on a budget.
