"nice staff shame about the room"
24th August 2012, anzieee123, Scarborough, United Kingdom
lacking in some of the basics for budget hotel, this storage locker for people is completly uncomfortable , credit card thick matresses, a toilet that was claustrophobic. there was no coffee making facilities, luckily the staff had a spare, unforunately the plug didnt quite reach causing the kettle when boiling to fall and scald my leg. plus sides are the cleanliness and nice staff. just needs making a bit more human. Use it for a stopover but dont expect a good nights sleep.View management response »

For the price paid it was worth it. There are no frills and the basic accommodation is functional and sufficiently adequate. The rooms at the front could be noisy for those sensitive but as I could easily sleep through a concert it wasn't a problem. There is a 24 hour Tesco across the road and the hotel provides a microwave for residents use so you could easily heat frozen meals or select from their snack selection. All in all it was a good stay and the staff were friendly enough.View management response »

Clean, functional and cheap - with secure parking. Good value. Only downside is location - on dual carriageway but Tesco over the roadView management response »

"Friendly staff - a warm welcome"
12th July 2012, Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Canada
I stayed only one night but I found the staff extremely friendly, welcoming and interested in me as a person. The room had an ensuite, everything was very clean which makes me, the customer, very happy indeed! Given these same conditions, I would recommend the hotel to fellow travellers, especiallyy those travelling solo. I felt safe and I'm planning to come back again -- very soon! Thanks, staff -- you were great!View management response »

Delivers what it says. Located on the inner ring road, so convenient, 10 minute walk to city centre.View management response »

It was an excellent stay and i would recommend it to other people, the only thing that i would add is that it would be nice if there tea/coffee facilities in each room, but other than that it was really value for money.View management response »

"etap - exactly the bargain you would expect."
9th April 2012, Nottingham, United Kingdom
For the advance booking price we paid we got exactly what we expected: you always get the same style room, mini shower and own toilet - all clean and priavte for less than you would pay to share in most places. They are located on the outskirts of cities but are a brilliant bargain to use as a stop off after a cracking night out - who needs the breakfasts anyway?View management response »

Management responseI am sorry that on this occasion you were disappointed with your stay at Etap Hotel in Bradford. I treat all feedback with the utmost seriousness and am currently investigating the matter, I can however assure you the security door that was open is actually the linen room where the linen is delivered and taken away, please feel free to call me on 01274 724415 or email me on h6364-gm @accor.com if you wish to discuss this matter further. I knew that the hotel was by a main road but could not have predicted traffic all through the night.Found that I had to pay £3 to park in their hotel carpark which was not used by anybody other than hotel guests. The blind would not pull down to cover full window so had to use rucksacks to block rest of light from road.Bed comfortable and shower big enough for sumo wrestler. Toilet in a room on its own.View management response »
