Good basic hotel right on the airport. I had an early flight and the location made it quite easy for that. Very reasonable rate for the hotel and a very helpful staff.

The hotel and room were clean the en suite shower was great, the bed was very hard not comfortable. the eveming meal was ok good enough value for money, although the buffet breakfast left a lot to be desired not much choice for £7.50 compaired to other buffet breakfasts i have had. Staff were polite and helpful. Ideal hotel for a stay before your flight right on the airport doorstep with the train station and NEC a short ride in the air rail away.Would stay again.

"Holiday stop"

A really convenient hotel just across the road from the terminal. Easy to roll out of bed and walk across. Good nights sleep in a quiet room. Would happily stay again and have in fact already booked for a summer stay.

Service was friendly and efficient, room was very clean and comfortable, location perfect for us because we flew from Birmingham airport. The only minor criticism was that the bath towels were not very big but on the whole a very pleasant stay. We also ate in the restaurant which was very good value for money, we will use this hotel again.

"Hire some more staff !"

We stayed over night at this hotel which seemed to have only 3 staff on duty to cater for the reception / restuarant and the bar.Whilst the staff were very polite having to wait for over 75 minutes for our food to arrive and a further 30 minutes for our main course was simply not acceptable.We were informed that some staff had not shown up for work but by that stage we had already been waiitng an hour for our meal.It is very handy for the airport but not much use if you want a meal before you go to bed !

"Extremely convenient for B'ham Airport"

Location of this hotel is excellent, just around the corner from airport check-ins!Definitely value for money for the price i paid. The bed is a bit hard though and there was some funny noise (pipes expanding?) from the shower room in the middle of the night. i'd definitely stay there again.

"Really bad cleaning"

Had to change room due to bad cleaning of bathroom and on second room in the morning found stains of blood in the door.The cards from door were always broken and had to go down to reception to activate them again.

"The Ibis Experience"

The room is quite like a caravan, the bed mattress was ok but the bases are solid and hard. The bathroom "pod" is funky but no place to put a washbag or clothes when you shower, and there is a smell of downpipe...BUT it was quiet considering the airport proximity, and the walk into the NEC took minutes.And the price, tho I suspect inflated for the Spring Fair 2012, is better than elsewhere.In other words ...it worked for me.

"Comfortable enough - expensive if airport busy"

Designed to cater for people who have late or early flights from the airport. Rooms functonal but comfortable enough. 2 mins walk to terminal. Very expensive if airport is busy. One of three adjacent Accor hotels on the site from very cheap (Etap) to expensive (Novotel) . You can eat at any of these depending on your budget and the ambiance you want. Hotels are right in the middle of airport complex but also have access via local monorail to the adjacent National Exhibition Centre.

"Great loaction for Birmingham airport"

The hotel is in a great position for Birmingham airport with the terminal building less than 2 min walk away.Hotel is a typical Ibis with small functional rooms and a very small bathroom. I eat a meal in the hotel bar which was OK value for money and average food (again what one would expect). Service was very good.

"Overnight before holiday"

Very convenient based on Birmingham airport site for early morning flight the next day within walking distance. Good sized rooms with no disturbance at all during the night. Efficient service from all staff, good food at the restaurant and good selection of drinks.
