Great place, friendly,clean,good food, cold beer,great location only when we went to check out they told us they make a mistake on the bills (which we got one each day because it is a cash less hotel so we pay our tab each morning) for accomadation and charged us an extra $200 and you have no choice but to pay sort of left a bad taste

My recent stay at the Mercure, Patong was a great experience. The hotel is situated at the edge of the markets, which allowed for easy shopping with the added advantage of not having far to carry any purchases made.I also used the hotel day spa. This was a wonderful experience. The staff are friendly and the treatments luxurious, all at unbelievably good prices. I would definitely recommend the use of this facility during a stay period. The hotel has a relaxed feel, ideal for families, with the pool area being a hot spot of activity on any day. A great place to relax and meet new friends.

The stay in mercure patong was ok as far as value for money is considered... Good Part - The hotel has a strategic location with the beach around it.... Moreover the rooms are also good if you do not consider the cost part. Service is ok. But thailand people dont know how to talk in english. Bad part - The worst part of the stay was that the moon bar and pool was closed and the management knew that it will be closed till next year april 2013. So if you are going by the pool view and booking this resort dont ever go in for it.Secondly they charge me for 3 nights were in you can pay for 2 night and get the 3rd night free so never book in advance just because accor group offer you good discounts at the last go....

We live in Phuket for many months of the year and stay at the Mercure Patong if we want to spend a night actully in Patong.The staff and service are second to none but our one complaint is that we have always had to wait for our room. We arrive at 2pm - check in time - but on 3 occasions now we have had to wait an hour or more for our room. This is a bit annoying and does interfere wuth our planned itinerary.

I decided to book the Accor special "Stay 3 nights pay for 2" deal because theFULL AMOUNT OF STAY IS PAYABLE IN ADVANCE BY CREDIT CARD AT BOOKING TIME. I then left Perth thinking all my accommodation was prepaid. When I arrived at Mecure this had not been done and I then had a problem as I only carried spending money with me. This was the hotels fault but no apology was made instead a rude and untrue explanation was offered to me as to why this was not done. I was then given a room which was above the night market and very noisy. Even with ear plugs in I couldn't sleep. The shower screen was mouldy and the water smelled mouldy too. I have stayed at this hotel 3 years before and it was much better then. I won't be going back.

I stayed with my husband and a group of about 20 people. The pool was fantastic and the lobby bar was a great place to meet before we all went out. I was disappointed with the quality of the rooms, the towels were old and thin and the shower had mould in it. The breakfast was not as good as expected. Prior to staying at the hotel I attempted to email the hotel directly to arrange a group booking and also for their tour desk to assist with booking group day trips. I did not ever receive an email in return so I would rate their customer service poorly. I ended up having all the members of the group book individually on the internet.

Staff tried ripping me off several times! service was aweful, there are way better hotels in the area for much less money and to top it off they want 800 baht or $25 per day extra just for the wireless internet password! Terrible.

service level regarding reception, ckeck in...slow and incovenient, sometimes arrogant staff......my breakfast prepayment was forgotten and i could not enter the breakfast room next morning. When i asked for check and return to me they just ignored withouit any update, so i left the hotel without breakfast (i prepayed 1.200 Baht for 3 persons).

This is our third stay at the Mercure Patong and standards are definately sliding,management allowing guests to drink their own alcohol and smoke in the pool,and to allow rowdy behaviour of guests shouting from the balconies is not the sort of thing I would expect in a Mercure hotel very disapointed. The standards of room cleanliness I feel have also gone down from our previous 2 visits.On the plus side the hotel is well located and the rooms are well designed with a bath and separate shower, ask for a twin room and have the beds put together otherwise a double bed is all you get and this just seems too small after the usual King size beds in all other Thai Hotels.

The hotel was OK, but that is all.The outside area (terrace and table) was not cleaned one single time during my stay. The bathroom was either not truly clean at any time during my visit.I had ordered a superior room with views of either the pool or the city, but ended up in a room with views directly into a concrete wall. No chance to get this changed!

It's okay considering what you pay. It's due for a bit of a re-furb. The towels are old and tatty and the fruit selection at breakfast was limited. Noisy on the west-outer side as there is a noisy gate at the back doc used for early morning deliveries and bars nearby. The staff are helpful and polite and the pool is fantastic, especially for kids. Skip eating and drinking at the hotel as it is expensive.

When I was check in at the hotel , i was given a room with a view stair and concrete wall (corner room). So I call the reception to tell about the room I get , but the reception staff said that I got the deluxe room (upgrade from superior room i paid already) . Then I talked with the manager (?) on the phone but the answer was the same , I stayed for 5 nights and I also a member accor advantages club, but I got this kind of room, SO if i want to change into my original booking room , they talked me I must wait until 2 days. I thought this kind of answer was not belong to accor reputation. Also the room was not represented for 4 stars hotel ( very old the furniture ). I think the management just like to give good rooms onto group of tour ( they have good view room and paid cheap price) than personal booking like us > Staff also not so nice, not very helpful. So I think its better to stay at other hotel which more appreciate to personal guests than group. Still Many good hotels at Phuket area.

Stay around Patong area since 2000 ( about 8-9 stays ) Mercure Patong location is execellent. Familly room were good but aircon still faulty after two complaints.With the price we paid it's worth the value , but we got a morning call at about 0630hrs in the morning which we do not requested. It spoil my day.Housekeeper and security --------------------------- greets you with a big smilesFront desk, cafe and pool side bar staffs -------- Rude and unfriendlyPool size -------------------------------------------------- decent sizebreakfast -------------------------------------------------- ok nothing greatKid's room staff ------------------------------------------ friendlyNote : we encountered different services from the service staffs at the cafe and the bell counter as you know .................. This is the first time we come across. You will never come across in Holiday inn phuket or burasari , thumb up for their services.

I felt that being an Accor A club member, I was not treated proper enough in term of service. We arrived Mercure Pathong at 14.00+, but the room was not ready. We were requested to wait for 1 hour, then reduced to 40 min then after some complained from us, it was reduced to 20 min. then finally we were given a room, but it was not prepared for us. Long face of receptionist facing us. After staying few nights in Bangkok, we felt so different quality of service, though they were in the same country. It could be too many guesses and too less attendance.Bath room towel quality were very bad. They supposed to be renewed. Meanwhile the Housekeeping was good. Respond came quite fast. The room door were too thin, we heard noisy neightbour's rooms door being slammed all the time during evening and morning.

Had a one night booking that I changed to two nights after arriving the hotel. The hotel has a good location, has nice rooms and a good pool. Thats all that I needed for my stay. When the staff offered so good service I can surly return one day.

the pace of their working is really really slow - i knew that once i check-in in the hotel. Later when i went into my room, i found that i got the wrong room (city view room), i went back to the reception area again, to clarify with the staff, then keep waiting waiting and waiting them to issue me a new room card. I really can't undertstand why it took sooooo long time in doing this. During my waiting time, there were mosquito bites found on my legs. it's really really terrible.i found that there were dirts on towel, bed sheet... the cleanliness is not good as i though.on the third day morning - i had to ordered my room service breakfast the last before and i did it and clearly mentioned the time of delivery is 7.15 - 7.30am as i would have a one-day tour started at 8.00am. i called the room service on 7.35am. the staff replied that he followed up for me. 5 mins later, there was no breakfast...still. i called again, same reply as before. Finally n eventually, the breakfast was being delivered in my room at 7.45am. I can say that i can't enjoy the dinner but rushing for it only. on the same day, after my day tour, i went back to my room and have shower, then i found that there was no shower towel. my partner called housekeeping and asked for towel. called few times and keep waiting waiting n waiting. their reply of our last call was really unacceptable - the staff asked us to wait until 6.00pm but at the time is only 4.30pm. It's really unreasonable in asking my to wait for 1.5hrs, isn't it? my friend explained to staff, then we wait...wait.. wait again... my towel is arrived... finally n eventually. luckily, i did not get cold during the time i wait with wet body. it's really a nightmare for me on that day.
