The Lodge is advertised to give off a luxury yet rustic vibe. Visually outside the buildings and pool is quite nice, inside is another story. The rooms are not great considering how much they cost, I'd rather stay at the vibe or mercure than this place. The lights kept flickering the whole time, the day spa isn't open all weekend, closes Sunday. There is not 24hr room service. The room I got was a lodge suite, advertised to be a high quality suite. Which is was not. The goof was below average. There was nothing to do at the lodge. It was probably one of the worst hotels I have stayed at. Definitely in the bottom 5. It is like staying at the Ibis.

A few issues over the course of this stay. 1. TV in room not working. Team could not help and suggested I wait 30mins and see if it comes good. It didn't. Solution was to move rooms. 2. Moved room and had a dirty black cockroach across the floor. I captured and flushed it. 3. Calling reception to report on both items above phone rung out multiple times. When coming back to the room after a day at work this is not a great experience. 4. Breakfast is always a challenge for people coming in to the restaurant. The sign says wait to be seated but the staff are all busy in the kitchen and don't see people standing waiting. I have learnt you are best to just head over to the kitchen and let the team know to record my room number otherwise you would be waiting forever. The team are always pleasant but clearly under pressure.

Arrived to relax one night with my husband during a very difficult pregnancy. Booked the mum to be package which was meant to include a manicure or pedicure. Found out this is not a current option. Fine but the whole spa experience was a bit unimpressive. Late starting etc Took my self to the bar to get some lunch whilst I waited for my husband to arrive. Ordered a beef burger and when it arrived extremely rear inside. I explained to the lady working I was happy to pay for a new one as I didn’t mention I was pregnant. She said no all good I will get you a new one. The new one arrived still uncooked in the middle, blood on the bun and added aioli. So I left to my room hungry. Arrived at my room and noticed they put us in a standard room. I had booked and paid for a garden/pool room view. Very average experiences

Upon arrival, I was upgraded to a suite. The place was cleaned and the smart TV was a bonus where I could stream. The bathroom was nicely decorated and the coffee machine was a nice touch to the amenities.
