"Stay at Sofitel"

My family and I stayed at Sofitel on May 17-18. We had a good time! We learned, though, that Spiral was still closed and would open sometime in August. Accommodation was excellent! However, I did not get a copy of the newspaper on the morning of May 18. My family and I are looking forward to our next stay... hopefully with the Spiral restaurant open for business. "Great Hotel BUT SOME SERVICES were Lousy"

*Club Floor. Superb service. Food though may be improved, but the service of the personnel compensates.*Room. The junior suite was nice. Except that all units are located at the far end corners of the hotel floors. It's quite an exercise everytime we have to go back to the room. Space is good value for money.*Room Service. We requested for another set of toiletries the next morning. It took more than 30 minutes for it to be delivered. THen when it was delivered, it was just handed (literally from the hands of the hotel personnel) to my hand as if i was dealing from a sales guy from a wet market. There was even a string of hair. Disappointing.*Breakfast at Hotel Lobby. Three of the mugs served at our table were not properly washed. One had stains on the lip top and two other had coffee/choco stains inside. Big dismay. Service that morning was also slow. The resto staff seemed to have no focus area, some tables were overlooked. Ours included; request for water and coffee took very long before it was served. Follow-up had to be done prior to delivery.

"A Perfect Hideaway"

Sofitel's location is perfect for those who want to relax and get away from the metro buzz. The rooms specially those with the bay view are the best for those who seek a quiet and relaxing break. I can't wait till they reopen the Spirals Restaurant which offers the longest and super sumptuous buffet. My family always looks forward to a weekend family bonding at the Sofitel.

we have enjoyed our overnight stay at sofitel. service was very good and the rooms were clean. my only complain is that the parking is so expensive at Php 200/night while other hotels usually allot parking spaces for their overnight guests for free.

"Great Hotel along Manila Bay"

This hotel has excellent amenities especially their lagoon swimming pool. They have a very friendly staff as well.My only suggestion is that they should give free parking to their local guests who are staying at the hotel. I dont understand why we need to pay the regular rate when we stayed longer and paid more versus the guests who just ate in their restaurants or attended an event.

The place is clean and the staff were very accomodating. The swimming pool was a lot of fun for the kids, except for the slides that only allows 12years old kid to use. I hope they make another slide for younger kids.

"A bit disappointed with the room"

We've stayed a couple of times at Sofitel. With this stay we availed of the free night since I am a member of the Accoradvantageplus. I reserved a room online and purchased an upgrade to have a bay view and king size bed. When we entered the room I was surprised to see 2 single beds. The bay view was not great either even if we availed of the bay view. They gave us a room on the 4th floor. Not sure if it was because it's a complimentary from the membership or the hotel's really just fully booked. But nevertheless the service was excellent and their staff is very friendly and service oriented.

"Not satisfied this time."

The quality deteriorated since my last visit last year. Low pressure of water in the shower. The safe lock was broken, we requested to have it fixed but after an hour still not attended to. Requested for pillows also took a long time. Not satisfied this time.

"not service oriented"

1st day - Early in the morning, I surfed the net and checked what the prevailing rates are and if it is available for a 4 days and 3 nights stay at Sofitel. I noted the cost and it is available. Since I lived nearby, I decided to pass by the hotel and book personally my reservation at the front desk. At the front desk, the person who initially received me told me to book it at the business office if ever i wish to avail of the rates I told them. Is it standard protocol? Maybe. But then again if you have the computer right in front of you, could she not just verify the rates that I wish to have. I even presented my "Silver Accor Advantage Plus" card. Learned a lesson. Not much help if you have the Accor card and book online if you wanted to avail of the best rates because they will not offer it to you at the front desk. Went to the business office and was properly assisted by Ms Chona from the Advantage Plus office.I returned later in the day with my family and everything went smoothly until my kids decided to swim at the pool. The pool was nice, well maintained and they had a great time however after taking their dip, they have to return their towels. I asked the staff manning the area if the kids can use the towels in going towards our room. They said no. Again, it would have been better if they allowed the kids to use it for awhile and just asked us to return it afterwards or if ever it got lost to have it charged to us. But then again, they would rather see the still dripping wet kids walk towards the air conditioned corridors for our room. Learned a lesson. Bring your own towel. 2nd day-At around 8:30 am, we went down for breakfast. Full house. We had to fall in line for our table. Not such a big deal if you are by yourself, but with kids in tow and no place to sit on, it is a hassle. We were eventually sitted outside of the airconditioned area, by the main driveway in a hot and humid weather. The space? small for a big hotel. The food? The usual kind. Not as spectacular as we were accustomed with when the then Spirals area was operational. The Chefs maybe missing.There is more. You have to pay for the parking space you were using even if you were billeted at the hotel. It would have been ok with me if they were charging me for a valet service, which they were, but for a parking space on a supposedly 5 star hotel? Would have commented on the third and fourth day but not much space here. Easter egg hunting at Sofitel? It is a joke.

Before checking-in at the hotel have a printed copy of accumulated points from Accor Advantage Plus. I have not avail of my accumulatled points in settling my dues because the receptionist explained that a printed copy is necessary to be applied in my dues. When I inquired at Accor Advantage Plus they told me to charge all my expenditures in my room so that I can redeem my points from Accor however they were not able to advice me to print the accumulated points I haved earned hence no printed copy was readily available during my check-out.
