Hotel was fine, I got in late and the check in was a little slow, but the room, breakfast, check out and the shuttle was great
"Good location if you want to be close to the airport"

This was my second stay at this hotel, so it must mean something. Basically it is close to the airport and ideal if you have an early morning flight. There is a free shuttle bus than takes you and from the airport - 10 minutes away. The hotel is big and there is lots to do there even for a longer stay. There is a shopping centre on site and the train station MTR is very close by where you can take a train into the city.Good choice of restaurants at the hotel and reasonably priced. The rooms are rather small but adequate. This time I stayed in a suite - great bathroom and the room was larger than the standard size rooms, but still smallish - allvery clean and comfortable.I will probably stay there on my next trip to HK.

Unless you're familiar with the master key system for lighting in your room, watch out! Nothing was explained to me at reception when I checked in regarding how to use your room access card to also activate all lights! I arrived into the room at midnight in pitch darkness & could not find/see anything to work the lights. I had to fumble around to find the room phone, then use my IPhone as a torch so I could work out what number to dial for service! The instructions they gave me over phone were not clear! Thank goodness a passing concierge in the corridor assisted me! This 20 minutes in blackness was not a good welcome for a inexperienced weary traveller!! Especially at midnight after a long haul!! Otherwise, I loved the room, loved the beautiful linen on the bed & the soft feather pillow, loved the Hotel, very luxurious!!
"Good Hotel near Airport"

Free Shuttle from Airport to the hotel. Close to Citygate outlet, just walk from the left side of the reception. There is Tung Chung MTR near The Outlet and Cable Car Station to Ngong Ping. The Room is very nice and clean, but we couldn't sleep well because the weather in room is very cold, although we had turn off the Air Conditioner.

We stayed at the premier floor with queen bed. The room is amazingly equipped though we were a bit disappoint that there's no bath tub in our room. There's some nice looking stationary inside table's drawer, which was very helpful on business trip.The place is very great if you're visiting AsiaWorld Expo. Free shuttle bus is very convenient. We ride MTR from Tung Chung to Hong Kong station easily. ifc mall is just 30 minutes away. Though Citygate is a good bargain also.Anyway, nice restaurant can't be found nearby, except hotel's buffer dinner. But foodrepublic in Citygate has many nice food shops that all tasty. Still we take MTR to TST for a nice dinner, around 45 mins away.

If you don't need to be centrally located in Hong Kong or just need to be close to the airport this hotel is an excellent choice. Free, regular shuttle from the airport right to the door is a good start. Check in was smooth enough and the staff friendly. The room (Executive Premier Floor) was quite spacious, well appointed and very clean, although a little different in style to the norm. Bar service in the Andante Bar is very good and the entertainment for a change pleasant and not overpowering. The buffet breakfast in Essence Restaurant offers plenty of choice of good quality although service could be a little over zealous. Overall a very pleasant experience with nothing to really detract from the experience.

I really like this hotel that is very closed to shopping center (Citigate).Food is o.k.My son hopes breakfast better and better delicious. When you went to this hotel, you can view your room very wide and nice view.

Great hotel! Great amenities, amazing view from our room at the15th floor, friendly and courteous staff. I specially loved the personalized greeting when we first opened the tv room. Imagine that! Btw, the citigate mall is just right above the escalators on the ground floor. Exciting buys, really! I'd love to spend my next HK visit in Novotel Citigate!

The hotel location is perfect. with same price you can not find similar condition hotel in Hong Kong city centre. We have used MTR one day ticket to reach to city only in 30 min. If we come to Hong Kong I will stay in the same hotel.We used the hote only for stay and it was perfect for the relaxing after a full busy hong kong seightseing day.BUT when we arrived to hotel, the wellcome is not good because of crowded.

I stayed 2 nights with my family for a vacations in Hong Kong Novotel Citygate, actually I have already stayed with the Novotel Kowloon 3 night before I check in to this Citygate.Compare to the previous one, this is an amazing location since I traveled in Hong Kong .The atmosphere of the room is really wonderful, not very spacious, but it is really very perfect . I stayed in room 1910 with a harbor and cable car view, in which we can see mountain, sea and cable car and also the amazing building around. Most excited is the location connected directly with the Citygate Mall for shopping and food republic and MTR access of Tung Chung station. Access to and from airport is also very easy. Once I travel back to Hong Kong I will stayed in the same placed. Love It so much.

We were unfortunate to be allocated a smoking room when we checked it this was simply horrible although the room was sprayed The pillows n towels alll smelt of smoke very disgusting for a non smokerAs the hotel was full we had no choiceIt would have been great if the hotel refered to our preference as we have stayed with them several times

Great hotel - good food, nice, modern clean rooms and a wonderful staff. I stay here on my way into China and on the return back as it's close to the airport and always a relaxing, enjoyable experience. Highly recommended. The pool is beautiful as well.

my assistant made the mistake of booking me at the Novotel in Bangkok so when i showed up at the Novotel CityGate in Hong Kong, I was quite distraught and tired to find the reservation had been made in the wrong hotel. However being their sister property I thought there would be an ease of transferring the details over or charging me at least half for the honest mistake( we do live in the age of flexibility) but that was not the case. Revenue sucking hounds. The front desk staff at the Novotel CityGate were rude and wouldn't even look into the issue for me stating that "well we are busy and all you can stay in here is a smoking room double queen....you'll have to do it yourself!". I wasn't rude nor looking for the perfect fit because I understood the mistake had been made on my half but it was unreasonable for the reception to give me such cheek in trying to solve this problem i had encountered. There are quite a few of the Accor group hotels around me and that was my first stay in one. I e-mailed Bangkok and have heard no response. First and last stay in an Accor group hotel due to poor responsiveness to an issue and poor customer service from the people we depend on most...the front desk.

Near the airport and have a nice and big shopping mall (Citygate Outlets) just next to it. The MTR - Tung Chung Station is also just outside the entrance of the Outlets, really convenience for those who wish to travel to the city. It was a nice experience stay (for a night) there, will choose this hotel again if I need to get away for a short trip to Hong Kong.

We always stay at Novotel Citygate since our first visit to HK in 2006.We love the room, unusual view of the hills and modern amenities provided by the hotel.Friendly service and lots of smiles around.Slightly far location on Tung Chung line but you always gets by MRT and it is only taking about 20-30 mins to the city. Compared to the busy city hotels, this hotel is calm and close by the Factory Outlet and restaurants so it's great.Minor complain that Free Wifi is a must, other accor hotels in China or Singapore give them for free. Needs a minor renovation here and there but again we stay there 3-4 times already so we notice the minor details.

Clean hotel,check in coldly efficient, porters unhelpful, watched while my cases fell over and let wife and i pick up -ok for a stopover not a holiday. Forget the free bus use the blue local taxis from airport - very helpful , cheap, and happy drivers.

The moment I checked in at the Front Desk, 1st good experience was told that I had been upgraded to club floor with free wifi access. 2nd, while I was still settling at the front desk, was approached by the concierge with a package that was left with them by my HK friend instead of me approaching them. I am impressed with their promptness and customer service! The room is clean and a wonderful view. Though it is small ( well this is HK ) but fully equipped even with an iphone docking system. Most of the staff are friendly except 1 staff (looks like a senior staff) at the concierge does not put on a smile when I left my baggage aft checking out and also when I ask him where should I wait for the free shuttle to the airport. He just point to the direction and walked away.... it did leave a bad taste but was saved by the friendly and helpful hotel bus captain!

When you need to remain close to HKG airport, I really do recommend the Citygate. Speed and quality to get at this hotel through their shuttle is very efficient.I really enjoyed the rooms [Executive room]! Nice, clean.
