Mercure Dunedin Leisure Lodge: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Stay in Mercure Dunedin"

18th May 2012, Rainbow132, Jindabyne, Australia

First impression was that the hotel externally and the foyer area looked "tired" & in need of a refurb. Was a stuggle getting bags to 1st floor with no lift up narrow stairs. But the rooms were excellent. Rooms very modern and up to date and well appointed. Bed & bathroom very good. Had a great night's sleep.

Mercure Dunedin Leisure Lodge: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Improvements could be made."

9th May 2012, 5Louise2, Christchurch, New Zealand

Disappointing welcome, decor and heating. We chose this hotel as Accor to maintain our points system as we have travelled less this past year due to earthquakes and needed to be with family at home. This was our first New Zealand break away from home. Wouldn't stay here again. Believe we could do better. Also met elderly visitors struggling to manage their bags to their rooms and getting rooms to open - we assisted - this was a bus trip - surely more support could have been given to a group using this hotel. Please up the service for these people especially.

Mercure Dunedin Leisure Lodge: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Mercure Leisure Lodge Dunedin experience"

5th May 2012, jt4152, Brisbane, Australia

I was served by Emma at the reception. She is warm and helpfulThe room is clean and tidy'The location of my room is next to a busy Cumberland Street, it is noisy at time & amenities is average. What I liked best of this Lodge are the cleanliness, hospitality of Emma and parking facility. What I liked least of this Lodge is the noise from the busy Cumberland Street.

Mercure Dunedin Leisure Lodge: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Great accommodation"

Excellent receptionists; lovely breakfast staff and really nice place to stay. Very handy to Dunedin main shopping centre

Mercure Dunedin Leisure Lodge: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Great for a family like us(with 2 little children)"

19th April 2012, cakesberry, Queenstown, New Zealand

We have found that Leisure Lodge has a great atmosphere for a family. The outside is also great for the kids to run around, and our kids of course enjoyed the space out there. The breakfast room was the same; very friendly to the little children. We really appreciated when the staff brought out a Milo tin from the kitchen especially for our boys.

Mercure Dunedin Leisure Lodge: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Recommend"

16th April 2012, autoadvisor, Wellington, New Zealand

Room was good and quiet with a nice ambience but felt the shower cubicle could have been cleaner. Otherwise, all in all I would recommend others to stay.

Mercure Dunedin Leisure Lodge: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Very good hotel"

29th March 2012, Christchurch, New Zealand

This hotel has been enjoyable to stay at even though it sits between two main roads. Our room was well positioned in the middle of hotel so very little noise. The only disapointing part was the breakfast as we expected a normal buffet from which to select our food - instead you ordered off a menu which made it a la carte which we found disappointing, although I have to say the restaurant staff were very good.

Mercure Dunedin Leisure Lodge: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Very nice accomadation easy to find and close to the dunedin gardens."

29th March 2012, Balclutha, New Zealand

Mercure Dunedin Leisure Lodge: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Mercure Leisure Lodge Dunedin"

22nd March 2012, Auckland, New Zealand

Stayed one night, location next to Botanic gardens is lovely but if you happen to get a road side room as we did then the traffic noise is not so good. Rooms were clean & a good size. Reception staff were helpful & friendly. The big dissappointment was the restaurant, we have stayed at many Accor Hotels in NZ & overseas & always look forward to eating in house. Not this time, would definately recommend that you eat out. Definately a nice place to stay otherwise (remember to request a room away from the road.

Mercure Dunedin Leisure Lodge: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Pleasantly surprised"

12th March 2012, Hastings, New Zealand

One of the best murcure hotels i have stayed at. The room was great, close to everything I needed to access, and the staff were pleasant and welcoming. On the down side, there is never enough sugar in the rooms, only enough for 2 hot drinks per night.

Mercure Dunedin Leisure Lodge: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Our wedding anniversay stay."

7th March 2012, Christchurch, New Zealand

We had a very enjoyable stay and would certainly recommend our family and friends to stay there. Perhaps the only negative was our disappointment that the hot breakfast was cold and there was hardly any food left. There didn't seem to be any staff around to assist us regarding ordering any hot eggs. But apart from that it was excellent. Thank you.

Mercure Dunedin Leisure Lodge: 4.0 out of 5 stars "theres just one small thing............."

23rd February 2012, nzfargo, Timaru

I like the location, easy to get to and get out of. Rooms are fine but my only issue is that you are unable to fill the electric jug directly from a tap due to the size of the basin. A somewhat small and idiosyncrastic complaint but its an issue I feel needs to be addressesd when a hotel room is designed and facilities provided.a honeymoon bed too!

Mercure Dunedin Leisure Lodge: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Regular Client"

13th February 2012, Invercargill, New Zealand

I've been staying at Leisure Lodge Dunedin regularly for nine years, facilities have been gradually upgraded however the hotel still has the "homely" feel I enjoy - must be the garden/non-cbd location. I do recommend to friends & family on a regular basis.

Mercure Dunedin Leisure Lodge: 3.0 out of 5 stars "A Comfy Spot in North Dunedin"

13th February 2012, Canberra, Australia

We found thia a fairly quiet hotel, but with some traffic noise from the major highways on each side. The twin double bed room was spacious, clean and inviting, with superb bathroom. The buffet dinner was excellent, particularly the braised lamb shoulder. However, despite having an AClub card which promised 50% reduction in food costs, the buffet still cost us $30 per head, which we thought was a bit expensive.

Mercure Dunedin Leisure Lodge: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Dunedin Sojurn"

25th January 2012, memmi, christchurch new zealand

My husband and I spent 2 nights at the Mercure Leisure Lodge in Dunedin. Our first impressions were good. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The room was ok, in fact we thought it very good value for money. Car parking is excellent and location is good. The complaint that we have is with the dining room. We felt the food was very poor indeed. There was a buffet at dinner which we chose to eat from. It was appalling. Dunedin is in the middle of a food basket and how they could serve up such a second rate table of food is unblievable. We felt sorry that the coach load of tourists had to eat that and think it was typical NZ food. We would defintiely stay there again, but would eat elsewhere..

Mercure Dunedin Leisure Lodge: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Relaxing Location"

23rd January 2012, Twizel, New Zealand

So close to the Northern entrance of Dunedin and right by the road was worried about noise. Don't worry!! Rooms are very quiet in elation to road noise, staff efficient and friendly, the gardens delightful.Only problem (Rm 410) was when room next door (on the left) occupied we heard all they said through the wall. No problem with room on the right.

Mercure Dunedin Leisure Lodge: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Review"

14th January 2012, Auckland

Had to ask for room change because of smell of cigarette smoke. We were kindly accommodated but replacement room was fronting main highway and very noisy making sleep impossible. Again a room change was provided without hesitation. Very good service from staff.
