"Enjoyable"

Great food, great staff and the room was clean, enjoyed our stay. Free parking is a bonus and the gardens are really lovely at this time of year.Will be back again soon and we enjoy being recognised and welcomed each time we arrive

Maybe a 3 1/2 Star hotel. I rate 6/10.No A/C but central heating. Hotel has nice grounds. Decore a bit dated. Restraunt was good but no hot buffet option for breakfast (a comon thing in NZ) only continental with a cooked option.On the corner of two fairly busy roads but no doublr glazing , so a bit lound.Only 30 min free wi-fi.

We found the Mercure Leisure Lodge at Dunedin excellent, especially for dining room service and great quality of food and cooking. Theposition of the hotel so close to the botanical gardens is idea to relax on holiday

Service was very good. The room was very well presented and warm. Dinning room was very welcoming and warm and service was very good. Hotel was very clean and so were the rooms. Also has good parking space for vechiles and hotel is easy to find when coming into Dunedin. Will be back as we like the hotel and staff.

One of the best accor hotels we stayed at in New Zealand. Restaurant staff a bit off putting, cleaning fingernails and grooming skin on arms, while we were having a pre dinner drink. Front reception staff were very helpful and friendly.

"Mercure Leisure Lodge"

Mercure Leisure Lodge is good value with free parking, friendly staff and good food. There is a minor problem with road noise but the good alway outweighs the bad.Will continue to stay at Mercure Leisure Lodge when we visit Dunedin.

"Great hotel, restaurant service only average"

Great Hotel, have stayed here approx 20 times. Rooms are a good size and well appointed. Restaurant menu is good; however there is one problem I encounter every time I stay - the restaurant reception is outside the restaurant where there is a bar and unfortunately this reception isn't "manned" so the wait to be seated can be several minutes, the same issue exists when someone leaves, there is no-one to process the bill and the wait can be long. I suggest the restaurant reception is moved into the restaurant or to the bar and that a bell is installed so customers don't have the long wait at either end of their visit.

Love staying here, older style hotel BUT you do need new beds, They are so soft and when the partner rolls over you sure get the wobbles in the bed. Very clean, housekeeping do a great job, nice anfd clean in the rooms

Helpful staff. Hotel in a pleasant location near Gardens. Clean and comfortable. ST breakfast asked if I wanted cooked options such as pancakes. I didn't but it was nice to have the personal approach.

Reasonably good location and very comfortable rooms, with good lighting in both the bedroom and bathroom. Wi-fi in the lobby. Breakfast a tad expensive, but I definitely will come here again. Now I'm just fillling space because the process wants more words!

we went to dunedin to our godsons 21st birthday, who we haven't seen in quite a few years! We throughly enjoyed ourselfs (we had a lovely time in dunedin even though it was raining). We ate in the restaurant at the mecure leisure lodge and it was great and the rooms were lovely and very comfortable. we had a fabulous sleep and an even better weekend. thankyou mr and mrs Neate
