Trip cancelled following an accident. Do we get a refund for not having breakfast? We spoke to reception around 7 pm on the evening that we were to check in.

Valuable for the money that paid for. The hotel located just 5 minutes walk away to coach station and department store. Recommended for all the traveller who looking for the place to stay in Southampton.

"Very Convenient"

The is just right for an overnight stay Breafast simple but you can help yourself to as much as you like. The staff are very helpful and polite Bedroom quite small and not much privacy when taking a shower. No provision for tea in bedroom but available at reception.Every thing was nice and clean and the price of the room is very reasonable

"Good cheap basic ...."

Stayed Friday night. Arrival and check-in painless and efficient. Room basic but functional. Basin in room rather than bathroom and shower moulded into room rather than in separate bathroom. Nice and clean room, comfortable bed. Ideally located for West Quay and docks.

booked in for 1 night, cheap parking- make sure u have ticket when checking in as allows u to come and go as u please , , good clean hotel, very friendly staff, suited me perfectly, have booked another night for july already. breakfast very good wide choice ,

"enjoyable stay"

my partner and myself stayed at etap in southampton for a nite. the hotel was ideally situated in town so we were close to everything we needed. there was parking on site and the cost was very reasonable. the reception staff were very friendly and very helpful, cheerful. well worth the money, we are going back in april as we enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others and defo stay there again

"Pretty Uncomfortable"

Firstly we were charged extra for parking. The room had the basin in the main room and a bunk bed over the double that my wife hit her head on. Breakfast was just toast and cereal not cooked. Much preferred the Ibis on the same site.

"Etap - always cheap and cheerful"

I've stayed in Etap hotels before and they're always cheap and cheerful. I only use them to sleep in and they have comfortable beds to allow me to do this. cons - no lock on the toilet door - the night staff are a bit strict

Had couple days break, decided on a bit of retail therapy on the south coast. Great nights had in oceanas nightclub and revolution vodka bar. Plenty of good restaurants around. Rooms were basic but more than addequate.

i really enjoyed my stay, the service was warm and friendly :)The only downfalls were i was expecting an english, not continental breakfast .. it was gorgeous still,the location was perfect, it was close to the station and the city center,the staff were sooooo warm and caring :)thankyou x

"A Day In Southampton"

I arrived at 17.30 on 31/01/12 , having read the literature associated on the train & learning that I should have brought my credit card to check in. Undaunted by this I arrived after 17.00 as advised & was greeted by two very friendly & helpful receptionists who furnished me with the necessary required details for my 24 hour stay . My card was slightly troublesome but the young lady at reception quickly rectified the situation with a new card. My room was perfect for the purpose of my stay.

The television was out of order, and was not fixed by the next morning. The sink was next to the bed, an inappropriate place. Inside the toilet the lack of a sink to wash your hands was unhygienic, and there was no lock on the toilet door. The bed had a bunk bed above, and was so placed that I cracked my head on the wooden surround. It was disappointing that there were no tea-making facilities. It didn't appear that the heating was working properly, as the room didn't seem to warm up.The reception was well-manned, and the staff courteous and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the duvet warm. The hotel was well-situated near the coach station and the main shopping streets.
