"Perfect Stay"

Travelling from Gatwick and staying at the Sofitel takes all the troubles of getting to the airport on the day of travel. The location and convienience in staying at the Hotel is just perfect
"Pricey but worth it!!"
20th May 2012, wallerwhoo
Stayed here after getting back into Gatwick in the evening and it was definitely worth doing! Rooms are quite expensive but as the old saying goes 'you get what you pay for'. I found the bed very comfortable and the bedding was plain white but very luxurious. Check out was not until midday the next day so it was nice not having to rush off first thing in the morning.Room had everthing you needed, large TV, tea/coffee making facilities, air con and bath with shower.Ideal for a pre or post holiday stopover as it is right inside the north terminal building.

"Comfort at Garwick"
13th May 2012, BroughtonBelle, Edinburgh
We have stayed at Sofitel/Gatewick quite a few times. It is highly convenient, very comfortable, rather pricey, but reliable - and the staff are nice. It is my favourite ariport hotel (with the limitations that apply to that). Beds are v comfortable and rooms are whatyou expect at the upper end, though complimentary mineral water would be a nice extra). Beakfast good. Didn't use other catering on this occasion but have sampled cafe before and it was fine.

Friendly staff, comfy and quiet room. Good nights sleep in a very comfortable bed. Position next to airport very convenient.
"Not your typical airport hotel"
12th May 2012, Katie C, Costa Mesa
What a pleasant surprise to check in to an airport hotel that was warm andwelcoming instead of just a place to stay. Convenient to North Terminal - 5 minute walk under covered walkway. Rooms inviting and a wonderful, comfortable bed.Check in/check out easy. Service with a smile.
"Perfectly situated and extremely comfortable after a long trip from Oz."

We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on food quality . We nipped out to the shops in the terminal ( just up the tunnel) and breakfasted in the room which overlooked the atrium- fab !!!
"Poor signage for first time visitor"
4th May 2012, Diglis, Worcester
A couple of points to bear in mind before staying here with the fly and park package.... You will not be advised on the website or by the staff that there is no lift in the newly completed car park (which is poorly signed from the road), or that the alternative is to drop your bags at the front of the hotel first. So like me you may end up parking and having to carry heavy cases down temporary looking steps and then around half the outside of the hotel (again no signage) across paths not designed for cases in the rain before getting to reception. The staff advise me that there 'may in the future' be a lift in the car park, but this seems a huge oversight for a hotel trying to offer a complete airport linked service. Also be aware that once on the podium level and checked in you will need to return to the ground floor level to hand over your car keys. If you want to take the lift you will find that only one set of the lifts actually go to the ground level...this is not apparent until you are in the lifts as all signage suggests all lifts go to this floor. So whilst this hotel appears to offer high end accommodation, it does appear to have missed some of the basics. On top of this my rather expensive shower gel (left by my only mistake admittedly) was not found to be in lost property, and I was advised that on the basis a cleaning supervisor cleaned the room that it was possible I left it somewhere else....my theory is that someone is now enjoying my goods as a freebie.....but my fault for leaving it I guess.

Top quality - wonderful access to North Terminal via the walkway. Good staff in all areas. Bar prices in line with five star quality hotel, also the food.
"Overall satisifed and will stay there but I wish the hotel had a swimming pool"
27th April 2012, Vess1962, Sofia, Bulgaria
I liked this hotel, the service was very good and it offers value for money for me. It is located in the North Terminal, so it allowed me to save time on getting to the railway. I used its gym which was small but had enough equipment for me. However, I like swimming and I wish it had a swimming pool. Despite the latter, I will continue to use it when I need to stay overnight at the airport.

I chose the hotel for its position to Gatwick. It was easy to get to by train and it was easy for Gatwick and my flight the following day. The staff were polite and helpful. The room was a twin bed which was all that I and my adult daughter needed. The beds were comfortable and the room tastefully decorated. We ate at the chinese restaurant where the service was good and the food delicious but would go to any of the other restaurants there too. The breakfast the following morning was good with a wide selection of food to choose from. I would stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to family and friends.
"Another great stay at Sofitel"
11th April 2012, joke13, farnborough
There are several choices of hotel in and around Gatwick airport but we always find the Sofitel has a consistent level of service and is excellent value for money. The onsite car park is also very convenient and ease of parking is a bonus.
"Accor hotel members take note"

No queue to check in and, when I requested an upgrade ( expecting to pay for it!), we were upgraded to the execitive floor with no extra charge. AMAZING. We like the executive lounge for its peace and tranquility and the whole floor is very quiet. Canapes, complimemtary drinks, free internet/newspapers/magazines and our own member of staff to take care of us. A very good experience - which we shall be repeating soon. Flying from the North Gatwick terminal, there could not be a more convenient and pleasant place to stay.
"Excelennt when leaving early from Gatwick"
10th April 2012, Tresserve, France
Room fine and good price. Room service expensive. Am staying again this week - but will avoid room service. Thats it but the system is set up for 100 characters and woont let me simply say the two lines aboce. Annoying Mr Tripadvisor!
"Late flight return - North Terminal"
5th April 2012
At Gatwick North Terminal, excellent if arriving back late but not very well sign posted. Very friendly welcome being so late/early in the morning which was lovely.Room small but perfect for the purpose the only issue i have with the room are there is no window to open instead of having the aircon on, so room felt stuffy!

The Sofitel at Gatwick is always excellent - we were just a little disappointed not to receive an upgrade as we were on Honeymoon and are A Club members.
"Great Location for flights from Gatwick"
23rd March 2012, chr1s_c925, Warrington, United Kingdom
Stayed here for 1 night as we had an early morning flight from Gatwick the next day. It is, in effect, part of the terminal building & so is very convenient. There are luggage trollys just outside the hotel door that can be wheeled to the flight check-in.Check-in took no more than 1-2 minutes. The room was clean & the overall standards were somewhat higher than the usual chain hotels. The price wasn't bad considering the location.we didn't eat breakfast there or use any of the bars or restaurants but it all looked OK.
"Always a pleasure"

The location is perfect for over night interconnecting flights and the rewards system means your experience only gets batter the more you stay. Fantastic food and service at the restaurant.
"A good night's sleep"
11th March 2012, queenofthenorth_11, London
Stayed here when catching an early morning flight, the location is great as the hotel is situated in the North Terminal. The bed was really comfortable and the check in and check out is easy. Would stay here again as it really reduces the stress of getting up in the middle of the night to get to the airport.
"Sofitel Gatwick"
9th March 2012, Kirtlington, United Kingdom
Room very good. Be comfotable. Check in very slow, had to wait in queue 20 minutes, Wifi free but system defective. Was unable to log in. But Hotel put this right in a very short time, by giving me instructions and password to check in as visitor rather than guest.
"Good Gatwick stopover hotel"
9th March 2012, DavidHN, Edinburgh
If you need to stayover at Gatwick as I did due ti impossible connection times, then the Sofitel is a very convenient plce to do so.Integrated right into the North terminal (and accessible right from the arrival point of the airport's South Terminal shuttle, it's very esy to get to. No waiting for hotel shuttle busses, or expensive taxi rides, just follow the airport signs and walk. The rooms aren't the most generous in terms of size, but the bed was very comfortable, which for my one night stop was the most important thing.Room service food options could be better, but there is a choice of restaurant dining at not too unreasonable a price.
"Excelent hotel"
7th March 2012, Uppingham
One does not normally have good things to say about airport hotels. The Sofitel at Gatwick is a noteworthy exception. The staff are helpful, the rooms are a good size and the beds are first class. Enough said1
"Good Hotel"
7th March 2012, Tunbridge Wells
Very good stay, would use this hotel again. We used the 'park and fly' package and everything worked perfectly. Hotel is right outside north terminal, so only a short way to drag luggage. The room was small but very comfortable.
"A comfortable stop over"
7th March 2012, Richard I, Jersey
The Sofitel may not be the cheapest Gatwick stopover, but it is certainly the most convenient. The rooms are very comfortable, the staff friendly and efficient, we only had a snack supper this time, but presentation and quality were very good. I will certainly stay again.

This was our first time at your hotel, wonderful, beautiful restaurant and very high standard food, rooms were wonderful. We are coming back to stay in April with the children, so convenient, so professional and top rate. Beautiful interior - the children will be impressed
