The hotel is very clean and the staff is extremely friendly and accomidating. The hotel is close to the train station and a 30 minute walk to the town center. We stayed a Saturday night and our room was on the 5th floor facing the street. There was a lot of noise and activity from people in the neighborhood. Not ideal for a restful nights sleep. If you stay here I would recommend requesting a room on the courtyard side of the hotel. It would be off the street and much quieter. Not a bad hotel for the money. The breakfast is typical European. It was good and a great value at 7.50 euros.
We stayed at the ibis budget hotel in Antwerp and loved it ! We were utterly amazed with the level of professionalism and friendliness that we found here !!! The rooms were perfect and extremely functional! They were clean and perfect for what we needed !! And on Top of that we were offered a 3p room ( we first thought we would get a double and a single) with 3 single beds !! We got fresh towels everyday and the staff respected our do not disturb sign ! We were very happy with the quality of the breakfast it had everything you would need for a healthy varied breakfast!! Then there was the staff ! I think ibis should be very great full and proud to have these amazing people Representing the hotel ! They are friendly and willing to help at any time !! They truly made our stay !! As someone who has stayed at a lot of hotels this should not be classified as a budget hotel as it was soooo much more than that !!! Amazing is the word that comes to mind :)!!
We arrived antwerp by flixbus. We went into the train station and asked the information for Directions to Ibis central station. With luggage in tow it seemed quite far. Having to cross the entire train station to the far end and exit towards the left. Then one sees the Lindner hotel. The Ibis entrance is towards the right side of Lindner. We made the mistake of going to the left side since we saw the Ibis budget sign above. Once inside however, we were glad that the room was new and really clean and quite big for two people. I booked a triple room but our daughter coulnt come so we had bigger space. The only downside was that there was no aircon. We couldnt complain since this was a budget hotel, remember.. At first it was just comfortable but in the middle of the night it became hotter and we weoke up sweating. At around dawn, I remembered a review I read about something under the sheet which made the bed uncomfortable. I checked it out and it was there! I removed the entire thing which was made of rubber or plastic, i guess to protect the mattress.. Soon after we were sleeping soundly. We got up late and had breakfast at 9am. Breakfast was simple but was satisfying. At €7, it was very much worth it. There was coffe, breads, cold cuts juice and fruits. The girl even paased hot croissants to the guest which was delicious! When we checked out we thought we could leave our bags as our next trip was at 3:35pm. But we were told that we had to pay €2/bag. (We had 4 bags) we found this unusual as most hotels would allow luggage storage. (We left our bags for 2 days in our hotel in Paris while we went to Lourdes). We were told that there is luggage storage at the train station so we decided to leave our bags there as in fact this was a better option since we had to take the bus from in front of the train station. I would have rated it 4stars if there was no rubber over the mattresss and we were allowed to leave our bags for free.
We were welcomed by friendly staff. Our room was almost exactly like the ones on their website, very cutely designed. We were on the first floor so we could hear conversations from the street, but once we'd close the window there was just silence. The bed was very comfortable so we slept like bosses. Pillows could have been more substantial, though. We stayed for six nights and throughout our stay our room was kept clean, the sheets and towels were regularly changed, and when we wanted to sleep in, we just used the "do not disturb" sign. The only thing our room lacked is another shelf or two for our clothes. Also, the back-less chairs aren't the most comfortable to sit on for longer periods of time. And there wasn't too much space to hang wet towels. The hotel has a tiny lobby (literally two tables with two chairs each) and stairs are apparently only to be used in an emergency. But the two elevators were always sufficient. There was always someone at the reception, and always friendly and helpful. The hotel is one minute outside the train station building, and some 30 minutes by walk to the old town center. But nearby there are also Velo Antwerp public bikes by which it took us 10-15 minutes of pleasant biking to reach the center (everybody bikes in Antwerp and streets are wide). We didn't eat breakfast here because there were many other good options nearby. Would easily come back here.
Service of hotel is quite well. Staff is nice and helpful. Rome is like presented on the pictures. Location of hotel is grate. It is next to central station of Antwerp. It is easy to find hotel, and everything is very near. It is good if you have early departure. Breakfast is nice. Only problem is that rooms do not have hairdryer.
ok rooms for the prices. Kinda clean. the lights in room are really cool and big confy bed. But you better love the smell of smoke as it stinks at the entrance due to all is standing smoking and the airvent from the hotel comes out there, from the smoking rooms, yes they ask if you want that when you check in. the coridors smells like they have airfreshner with a new smell, yes you guessed it smoke smell of the week. I got a non smoker room and the didnt smell but in and out and the lift. if your on a budget its ok. But if you have a choice dont stay here.
As my journey was for business purpose, the IBIS Budget Hotel in Antwerp was very convenvient due to its location very close to the Antwerp Central Station and the Bus station I needed for my work. The staff was very kind and replied nicely to all of my questions. The room was cleaned every day and it was very nice to find the room clean at the end of each day. I found the room quite cumfortable. Maybe the only thing is that the "IBIS" blue lamp was just at the level of the window but I could sleep anyway. I find the price for the breakfast just a bit expensive. Again, I find the hotel and the room very good and I was very looking forward to get back to the room after each working day during these two weeks in Antwerp. I would like to thank again the personal staff of the IBIS Budget hotel in Antwerp near Central Station for their kindness.
I stayed here two days with some friends, although the hotel is a standard I think it was a bit old or look dirty. The staff was very helpful. But the room didn't look very clean. But it has all an ibis hotel should have. The breakfast was regular, breakfast in berlin was better. The location is very good near the central train station. I didn't like the look of the surroundings very much but it was fine.
The hotel is very well situated, very close to the main train station and the city centre. It was clean and the breakfast was adequate, although I would recommend having breakfast at the station, as it would be a lot cheaper. The room is small, but clean and adequate, bearing in mind the low cost. The beds are small, and the mattress a little thin. The towels could be better.
This hotel was efficient, straight forward, and centrally located. We stayed in a 3 person room with 3 twin beds. As students, we loved how close it was to the main strip and to more local student bars. They give you a code to get into your room so you don't have the hassle of the cards! During the day, it was close to all of the sights to see. Overall great weekend. Only complaints: No ice machine and no safe storage in the room.
