ibis London Elstree Borehamwood: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good value"

10th May 2012

Good value, but beds have plastic covers and are uncomfortable. Prob the worst beds in any proper hotel. Despite this its fair to good on the value stakes.

ibis London Elstree Borehamwood: 3.0 out of 5 stars "morons"

8th May 2012, lilymax_12, London, United Kingdom

The reception staff are stupid beyond belief. There was a female chinese looking staff member who did not understand english. When asked to call the room of my friends she was unable to do this and then told me the room was empty and that they had gone out, when in fact they were in there. Because of this we missed a meeting.

ibis London Elstree Borehamwood: 4.0 out of 5 stars "On an annual visit to a two-day meeting held adjacent to the North Circular Road"

27th April 2012, Saxmundham

This was the third occasion we have stayed here. We were car-born and looking for an economical hotel of good standard. Although a bit remote from Central London the access to all parts via A1/A41 is very speedy. We have confidence in the Accor Group as a whole & Ibis Hotels meet our one-night stays on many occasions.

ibis London Elstree Borehamwood: 3.0 out of 5 stars "is the bottle top still there?"

6th April 2012

Clean enough and for the price ok this time. However, is the metal bottle top still under the bed. It was there before I arrived and still there when I left! At the moment, the hotel still seems popular with school kids of all ages and parts of Europe. It is adequate - shame I do not have a car!

ibis London Elstree Borehamwood: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Real Budget Hotel"

2nd March 2012

Good price, standard rooms. Distant from central london. Ideal for north london escape. Food was reasonably good, little overpriced, especially as there are many eating places within walking distance.

ibis London Elstree Borehamwood: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Stay around Elstree - great suburbs"

26th February 2012, Grays Thurrock, United Kingdom

Enjoyed the modern design & spacious room with state-of-the-art but basic clean bathroom & WC.Excellent location, close to all the necessary amenities, easy comfortable walk to nearby important national rail station.Good ambiance at the entrance of the hotel.Only irritating thing was that inspite of having several 6-day bookings to allow a longstay in this hotel - the staff would repeatedly tell me that you are supposed to check out now - as they cannot see the all booking - quite irritating & scary at times those remarksThe daily room cleaning service & condition of the carpet in some of the rooms probably could to be improved.

ibis London Elstree Borehamwood: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good value stay but no free wireless internet"

13th February 2012, Chateauroux

£4.50 is what I had to pay for Internet here and that's per machine, and since I have an iphone, ipad and computer, that makes £13.50 extra a night. I didn't pay that of course and it spoilt what was otherwise a nice stay. Quite why you can get free internet now in most hotels including ACCOR hotls like Formule1, All Season and even many Novotels but not in Ibis hotels is beyond me. Seems that we customers need to vote with our feet to get this extra tax on a basic necessity today banned forever.

ibis London Elstree Borehamwood: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Convenient, quiet but musty smell in bathroom"

9th January 2012, Freedompass_Hunters, London UK

I admit to not being in the first flush of youth but I was surprised to be put in a room for the elderly and infirm. The room was bare and stark and there was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom. As my need was for just a room from midnight until 06:00 the room was adequate and quiet, I did not have time to make use of the bar and breakfast services. Parking was easy, the check in quick and the price very reasonable. The hotel was very conveniently situated for my appointment in Boreham Wood.

11th September 2011, Sunderland, United Kingdom

We found the staff very helpful and welcoming. The room we had did smell foisty however it was clean and tidy, with fresh towels when needed. The breakfast was excellent and the availability of car parking was brilliant.Thank you to all the staff for making our stay great.
