Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Your systems need to be in place"

A big disappointment. Your Accor staff just sell and provide NO service.The online reservation system mislead us into believing that we had 2 nights complimentary stay. The reservation staff and the reception staff failed in their duty of being a check-point on the reservation. There is no education on the Accor Club membership privileged offerings among the staff. The staff throw rule books and don't seem to have come across the word service recovery. Even the Front Office Manager is just a paper tiger and has no real authority to make decisions. All this ruined a perfectly good weekend and left a bad after taste. Not to mention we had to shell out additional amounts for our stay (where again the rate provided was for single occupancy though it was a double occupancy). Thankfully the Front Office Manager Shul knows how to deal with people.The baby crib provided too, was in a bad shape and the padding (no bed) was insufficient. The tray left out of the door the night before we checked out, was not cleared until the next day 3 pm!The only positives is that our daughter enjoyed herself at the pool and the room was comfortable. The staff at the Square are real helpful and friendly and so were the bell staff. Overall very disappointing to receive such sloppy and miserable service from a reputed brand of the Accor family. It is very surprising as we have had wonderful service at the Shamshbad hotel of Novotel.

Room was well kept. However Air Con was ineffective.Technician on duty was not helpful and did not help with airconditioning - we spendt teh night in average cooling.person at guest service was rude and not willing to help

Very comfortable hotel with plenty of amenities. There is also some activity later in the evening so those working BPO late shift don't feel like it is the middle of the night.

Saw a Lake in Pics, But the Lake Was Dry , Value for Money , Lots of Mosquitos in Open Areas, All Rooms are Non Smoking Smokers will have a tough time during the stay, these things apart the hotel is good enough, food is good n resonably priced

The lake as mentioned is certianly dry due to the dry weather, which will comes back into his original life in monsoons.As a responsible company to reduce carbon footprints for sustainable developement of the enviornment, we have taken the initiative to make our guest floors as Non-Smoking floors. However, we already have an area specified for smokers on the first floor and two outdoor smoking areas at the lobby level.Once again, thank you very much for your candid feedback.

- broken lamp shades in the room- dirty bathtub, pillows and hair everywhere- no smile on staffs face- breakfast table was given to 3 people at once, and hence everytime one left the table someone else was sitting at ones place- staff didn't care about above mentioned complaints- questions, which were raised to the staff, were left unansweredhowever, food was good (even tho at breakfast it would be nice is some food would be properly cooled) and the overall hotel was clean. difficult to get an spa appointment.fairly remonte located, and difficult to find at night. only practical if one has a driver+car.the general feeling was that they wanted the money from hotel guests, and thats all. i did not feel welcome at the hotel itself in terms of treatment and attitude.

All things were good especially your front desk asst manger Mr.Meda bhattachary who was very helpful and accomodating.The food was very good but needs more variety especially chinese.The things which need improvemet-1.The coach in the gym came at 8am and was obviously acting as a guest rather than help the guests with exercises.2Massage services were not available as they were booked fully though there were lot of massuers i could see roaming around.

The hotel is well located for business travellers, has nice rooms.However, the food at the restaurants is nothing to write home about.The service is pretty slow.The house keeping feedback system is great though.I left my i pad charger while checking out and have received a mail asking where it can be sent.

good and clean hotel , nice rooms , very good and friendly staff ,food was great , could not try the pool or gym as this was a bussiness trip location is very good as airoport is on a freeway so trip to airport although 40 km away takes only 35 minutes overall very good although a bit expensive

It's a very good feeling right from reception till we leave the hotel. Problem is with the security people peeping into all our luggage. Except that everybody is courteous. I personally recommend to all my friends to stay atleast once at Novotel to feel the same.

I had booked the hotel room online..........I had paid the room tariff in advance using the Credit Card......at that time the confirmaiton read that the charges are inclusive of taxes....but later on when i checked out they asked for more amount as taxes.........which was nowhere mentioned on the website or in online offer price......................this is not expected from such a reupted brand hotel.............In addition the breakfast chatrges mentioned online are 500 while they asked for 750 + taxes at the time of availing the service.............Hotel location is also not good..........its in the suburbs.......................Overall....................the commitment part is Poor..........................picture should be clear regarding the charges and the services which will be provided to the guests.............at the end of the day guests should not feel cheated.............................

Management responseDear Guest,On the outset I am sorry for the miscommunication and challenges you faced during your stay at the Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre. I would like to answer the points raised by you in two parts1 – Billing and taxes - The extra charges on your card are taxes which were charged at applicable Govt. subscribed levels. Unfortunately the tax (service tax) structure underwent a revision very recently and we were unable to update it on the website immediately. The ‘down time’ associated with the tax transition resulted in the disparity in taxes you were subjected to. We are sorry for this and we have arranged for the refund of the amount you paid through taxes, since in this case you should have been clearly aware of all the costs.2 – Cost of breakfast - The option of 500 inclusive of taxes that you saw on the internet for breakfast is an option available for all our guests who book through the internet. This is a special rate provided to upgrade to a breakfast inclusive rate, predominantly to encourage our guests to opt for this as a top up to the room sale already committed by you. The subsidized cost of Rs. 500 is offered to incentivise the booker to prepay and therefore commit for a breakfast. However if the is not paid for, at the time of booking then this incentive is no more available and the regular breakfast rate of 700+ taxes becomes applicable, this charge of Rs. 700+ taxes is reflected in the menu at the restaurant too.Your booking in our records showed room only booking, with no breakfast, hence the full rate was charged for the breakfast you consumed. The prices mentioned are applicable for utilizations booked and do not demonstrate the rates of the services of the hotel at all times. Therefore this must have been a misunderstanding and therefore we will consider a change in the description. We thank you for bringing this to our notice. We had a great time relaxing at the hotel. Nice start to the summer!!!! While the rooms are huge, they are comfortable and provide a great pool view. The Saturday Night BBQ was excellent. Lot of choice and good service. Overall a good place to go for leisure or business.

Ordered food from in room dining. First i ordered Indian dish and it was full of spice, i can understand that being an local dish this is ok. Then i ordered pizza, full of salt. Be prepared for spicy food without any warning/ suggestion. Only for spice lovers. Location and quality of hotel is good.

Due to work commitments it has taken me longer to write this review, but I now feel that now is the time to write about my stay. I stayed of 12 days in the HICC and it was my first time in India and was amazed by the level of service and standards that this hotel supplies. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff from check in to check out, and there was always a member of staff there with a smile to greet you morning, noon and night.The hotel itself was a pleasure to stay in with ample ammenties to meet the guest. There was two main restaurants within the hotel, one supplying a wide variety of local and worldwide dishes to cater for all guests both in an al acarte style and that of a buffet 3 times a day, lunch, dinner and midnight meal. The other was a Mexican themed restaurant serving top quality food outside by the pool. The food in the hotel was of a high quality and I was impressed with the selection available at all times. May I use this time to thank all the staff who make my stay such a pleasure, from the Managers that ensured I was always looked after.A special thanks to Vishal who works in the hotels main bar, who always went of his way to make sure everybody was treated to 5 star standards.

I combined business with pleasure - went on an official trip, husband and son (3 years old) joined me 2 days later and we spent the weekend there. Hotel is close to hitech city but far from other sights. So be prepared to spend on cab fare for sight seeing. Use Cel Cabs - I found them very reasonable.We upgraded to a junior suite for the personal bit. Nice suite, spacious, clean. No bed bugs, as some negative reviews have noted. Great amenities and freebies.We had an all inclusive plan - the food was great. Good veg and non-veg selections. Quite a number of non spicy dishes too. The eggs were good, not the pale yellow of most non free range eggs but really deep yellow. Ask for sunny side up eggs at the egg counter during breakfast, yummy :)The staff were attentive but not too in-your-face.We had a great vacation, thanks in large part to Novotel (HICC).
