"Great for the Arena"

The staff was very friendly and the location was perfect for a visit to the Arena. The only problem was the top bunk was incredibly disgusting and looked like the sheets hadn't been changed before we arrived. Otherwise it was great for a short trip.

"Value for Money next door to Sheffield Arena"

My daughter and I stayed at the hotel to go to a concert at Sheffield Arena - as we booked on line, based on value for money, we were amazed at the location. Only a hedge separated the hotel and Arena car parks. We arrived in plenty time and walked to the cinema and many many eateries across the road. Perfect. It was only a mile away from Meadowhall - although we didn't venture this far. The room was unusual in that the shower and wash basin were in the room - but that was okay for us - may not suit others. My daughter particularly liked the bunk bed and it was great to have a room with three grown up beds.

"Over-charged"

Had we been charged £18 (the room rate advertised outside the hotel), I would have had no complaints because you get what you pay for. But, as we were charged £42 per room (breakfast was extra), I feel like we have been robbed!A small, box-like room, with not even a kettle and only 3 thin pillows for a room which sleeps 3 people, cannot warrant £42 per night.I should add that I did not know anything about this hotel before we went there (I booked over the internet), so when I was charged £42 per room I expected a much higher standard of accommodation.The only good points: hot water, a clean room and friendly receptionists.Don't even bother with the breakfast!

"Ideal for purpose"

Only booked for 1 night but the hotel staff were very helpful, the breakfast excellent,everywhere very clean, our only little niggle was the bed was very hard!! Not really a complaint, just personal preference.

"Sound Sleeping in Sheffield"

This Hotel is great, we only needed to sleep overnight and it was great for that, toilet was small and the room was small too, but this was a cheap night stay and the size of the room didn't affect our ability to sleep soundly and the staff were so helpful.

"My 1st trip to Sheffield"

The Etap was very easy to get to and was in the perfect location for the Sheffield Arena.The rooms were spotless and everything was in working order. The reception staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Wifi was available in all the public areas (small fee was payable) Parking was also available for £3 for 24 hours, I would recommend getting there early though as spaes are limitedIf you like a very firm bed, then you will have a great nights sleep, I personally like a much softer bed and firm pillows, so sadly did not sleep that well at all

walking distance to the sheffield arena, ideal for a cheap night. saves travelling back, paid £18 for 3guests, Bargain! the hotel itself, its £18.. you got to just get on with it and realise its only £18. wait to freshen up at home, is my advise.!

"Perfect Stay"

I was seeing Drake at Sheffield Motorpoint Arena and needed somewhere close to stay. For me it was perfect at it was only a few minutes walk to the arena.Check-in was super quick and the room was ready straight away. The room was clean and had everything we needed i.e soap, towels etc.The only problem i had was the shower was actually in the room with a frosted glass door, i just didn't expect it.Apart from that it is a very good hotel.

"Good for the Money"

Stayed over 17th March for an event at Sheffield Arena.Very modern building. Rooms very basic, felt like a prison cell. But only cost £28.So no complaints.Great location for Arena.

A great location if your are going to the arena. The rooms were clean and warm. It is a 'no frills' hotel, but is great value and the staff are very helpful.

"Excellent"

It is what it is - a budget hotel, compact rooms but very clean and also warm and comfortable. We were at an event at the arena so the location was the reason why we booked it and it was very convenient and generally much nicer than we expected. No way was it "hostel like" !!! It was amaing value for money but what really made it great for us was the very warm welcome from the receptionist who appeared to be alone on duty. She was also friendly and helpful with requests for take away menus and a hairdryer, even though she was very busy checking guests in.The continental breakfast was nice too - a different smiling young woman welcomed us and was busy clearing tables. For £3.75 each we weren't expecting much seeing that a coffee from a Starbucks costs over £2...but we enjoyed our toast, croissants and muffins very much. Etap your staff in Sheffield are a real credit to you (and that comes from someone who has been a manager in customer services herself!!) We wouldn't hesitate to come back. Thanks very much!!

"Good value hotel in great location."

I often stay at this hotel as it is such good value and in exactly the location I require. The staff are very friendly and helpful and there is always a good selection of food and drink snacks available to buy day and night. All the rooms have a double bed with a single bunk above and my only criticism is that the mattresses are hard. If the mattresses were replaced with softer ones the hotel would be perfect.
