Positives - location, quiet rooms, good housekeeping serviceNegatives - odd smell in hallways, ran out of towels at pool several times, reservations system failed when checking-in, short on staff at check-in, room was worn--older and dirtier furniture, shower curtain was dirty (install sliding glass doors), most 4 star hotels have separate shower and baths

Our stay at this hotel was good, the staff were always friendly and helpful. Smiles greeted us at every point. There were a few things I would like to see improved. The meals in the restaurant could have been a little more varied, a few more options for European/Western guests. Security could also be tightened - a member of our travelling group had a substantial amount of money stolen from their room safe, and the CCTV outside their room wasn't functioning so the hotel was not able to confirm who had entered the room.

have stayed a few times at Grand Sukhumvit. hotel is in a good location. BTS is about 5 min walk and for those into night life, nana entertainment is just around the corner.being an advantage plus member i got an upgrade to a more spacious room which was excellent. they even had a separate sit-down check-in for us. :)my only gripe is that wifi is too expensive at 390thb a night. even the lobby there is no free wifi!!! i stayed at sofitel in shanghai and they offer free wifi in lobby. this is a major drawback if they want to target business travellers.
"Great start to our honeymoon"

We stayed here for two nights at the start of our honeymoon in Thailand - and what a start it was! We were upgraded to a suite that had it's own living area and kitchen as well as fantastic wet room bathroom and bedroom.The staff could not be friendlier and always helpful with local information.Fantastic value for money, we will definitely be back again.

Great hotel. Everything was good value for the price. Service is friendly and efficient. Location is right in the heart of Bangkok. If anything, the buffet price at the Restaurant is a bit on the stiff side. Other than that everything is just fine.

This was the second time i stayed in this hotel .the location is excellent.very near to the train station and all the hustle bustle.the room was nice .except for the breakfast which needs to improve in service and quality.Also very high charges for the internet.most hotel have free wifi .

The Grand Sukhumvit continues to hold quality with personal service ! A great location close to Nana BTS, along with the entertainment areas of Nana & Cowboy. Value for money is second to none in the area, with many local and international restaurants close by. Safe, quiet and convenient.. what else do you need !

My first impression on arrival occurred when the receptionist brought me to Accor Member Check-in counter which was private sector from other guests. They served with welcome drinks of juices. The hotel staffs were good service with Thai hospitality. The hotel was in good location that was not so far from BTS Nana station. You can walk only 150-200 meters for exercise. The room was clean and spacious. The restaurant was famous for delicious food but the price was quite high if you do not have discount card.

Whenever I am in Bangkok I stay at the Grand Sukhumvit. It is well located near NANA station. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are spacious and excellent value for money. Some have fantastic views of Bangkok.

the first time came and check in. I already got surprise, they provided special room during check in and you can relaxing. Fast check in and got my room. Clean and comfort room. Only Wifi not free is disadvantages. Location only 3 minutes walking from Nana BTS station.

Grand Sukhumvit Hotel Bangkok is at a good location, 5 mins walk from the NANA BTS startion and the busy streey of Soi NANA entertainments and the busy street of Sukhumvit. The hotel is good and very spacious. The hotel is not expensive but it was good and value for money for business travellers. the only problem is that it is difficult to get a cab when you need one.

no-frills stay. got a good deal and free room upgrade (although it's a smoking room that smells). Yet the location is convenient (30m away from Nana BTS and you can see the hotel from the BTS). The room is very clean although the smoke smell lingers. Beds are comfortable and I had good sleeps. Basically if you are out a whole day and just want a good sleep, convenient location and value for money. Grand Sukhumvit Hotel is worth staying.

Rooms are excellent with a nice bedroom. For a pretty new hotel, however, the central air-conditioning is too noisy to cool down the rooms to a temperature at which you don't sweat under the quilt which is better suited for hotels along the polar circle. Thailand has an excellent choice of cable TV programs provided by True. The Grand Sukhumvit, however, preferred to go for a cheaper provider which results in a miserable range of channels.

Defiantly recommend this hotel, close to the main shopping centers. The staff are very friendly and having security guards in the hotel make it a safe atmosphere.We ate at the hotels buffet and enjoyed their selection.

We have stayed here 4 times now and whilst it is still very good value and extremely well located, we feel the standards are lowering now that it has dropped its 'managed by Sofitel' badging. Slow shower, torn sheets and badly scuffed furniture were a minus. Did make bed softer and fix sheets when asked- thanks to maid. However, good staff and still a very pleasant room. Disappointed to not be offered our personal checkin service (AdvantagePlus) after long flights. Would still stay here.Tip- India Today on next corner was an excellent choice with lovely views upstairs.
