"Location vs Cost"

When trading off location against cost this is hard to beat. Close to two U-Bahn lines and near enough to both the city centre and Prater to walk. Standard Novotel rooms, comfortable, clean and quiet but sparse on storage space for a family. Friendly and helpful staff, free Internet and a pretty reasonable breakfast (if included in the rate). We booked the 'wildlife' package that included breakfast and family zoo tickets which worked out as a considerable saving. Parking is off-site but secure and very close, and there are very good printed directions provided as well as carefully explained by the reception staff (so they seem to have taken heed to other coments here). There is a family friendly Vapianos next door as well as numerous other eating options within a short walk. We would stay there again.

"A week in Vienna"

Stayed 8 nights at this hotel as part of a month long holiday. It is located in the heart of Vienna, about a 10 minute walk from the city centre and close to most attractions. A supermarket and many eating places are also close by. The staff were very helpful, we had hired bicycles to get around, and they helped us store the bikes under the stairs in a room near the gym-now that's service! We paid a little extra for an executive room which was on the 8th (top) floor and had a small balcony. The room was excellent in every aspect and the rainfall shower was fantastic after a day out sightseeing as it was quite hot in Vienna at the time. Would definitely stay here again.

"Fantastic staff"

"Good value, well located hotel."

Good value, good rooms and the breakfast was always fresh. Handy location just across the Danube from the centre of the old town.

"Victory day in Vienna"

Hotel very well positioned, close to metro station line 1 (U1), at 2 stations from downtown. Also close to boat station to Bratslavia. People in the reception are very nice, open, attentious and happy. Rooms are quite ok, and breakfast at right level, to the price. Just close you have a nice restaurant to have some fast meals (Vapiano) where you can have self service pizas, salads and pasta. The hotel has also a restaurant but we did not use it.

"Romantic and shopping stay in Vienna"

We had very nice stay in the City Novotel in Vienna. We spent romantic dinner in hotel restaurant with excellent food and wine, with kind service. The hotel is situated very close by City center where you can do amazing shopping and of course very nice sightseeing of historical places. We know that we will definetely come back to enjoy Vienna and City Novotel.

"Great location"

The location of the hotel is great. About 15 to 20 mins walking distance to the Stephen's Catedral. There's an underground station right behind the hotel providing easy access to Vienna city.The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast had a nice spread and is of good quality. Kids eat free too!

"Nice hotel"

24th January 2012

The hotel is located in a very safe area, right across the bridge that connects it to the centre and the old town. The room (located in the 6th floor) was spacious and modern and the bed was really big. We found a free parking place on the streets next to the hotel. Breakfast was really tasty. You may order hot food (eggs, sausages etc) from the cook. In 2 mornings out of 4 the cleaning lady came at 8.30 and entered in the room, although we were not ready to leave.

We love staying at this hotel. Great service (love the Nesspresso and the fresh fruit in the room), good size room, clean, comforatble, all the amenities, fantastic breakfast, a 10-minute walk to the airport bus, a 10 minute walk to the centre of the city, friendly staff. Best Accor hotel I've ever stayed!!
