"Nice convenient hotel for business"

This is my second stay at this Ibis. The staff were friendly, helpful and spoke good English. The rooms are typical Ibis size and accommodations. The only complaint I have is that their internet service is somewhat unstable and can be very slow (< 256 Kbps) at times. The adjacent Mercure Hotel is good for meals if you want more variety than the bar offers.

the hotel is definitely simple but sometimes such simplicity is of a great benefit for travellers (which one may not find always in a more sophisticated hotels), for example although rooms were cleaned every day, it was never attempt by cleaners to disturb me by knocking at the door, etc. somehow they were finding the only time when I was away and cleaned the room, I did not see them waiting at my door, etc. The cleaning was flawless too. Access to wi-fi was simple and straingforward, everything worked well in the room, the sockets were designed that both European and US plugs worked, a simple request (like booking taxi or leaving bag in storage room) were answered promptly and reliably. Not everyone spoke English though but it was always at least one at reception who did. The BBC 24 channel has disappeared from TV programmes during my stay there, but hope it was temporary.

Near the main route between the two largest city, Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, it's a good hotel to stay during a trip. Sao Jose dos Campos is a good choice to make business or visit, as the city is located near the best Sao Paulo beaches.
